That's exactly what I was looking for!! I was having issues with that, but now when I get home I'm definitely going to try it out and I know it's going to work ( cause you've showed me how) Thanks a lot bro!!!
I took Engineering courses a few years ago. But this has to be the first time that I felt more connected to someone's teaching style. In this case, mixing Kicks & 808's. The tuning was a bonus for me. There's something awesome about your level of expertise while delivering the basics in your tutorials that just clicks. I've looked at a few of your videos already and I'm like "Wow! This finally feels less technical to me." Which I always got turned off from when producing and would just allow a professional engineer to do the mixing, which the labels paid for. I tune and do a basic mix on my kicks/808s, but I just do it differently. I guess I'm speaking more so on the specific mixing tips you're giving. Just a different workflow, but fast and very effective. I had FL, but no longer use it. But I'm able to take these tips and apply them in Ableton or Maschine just the same. Thank you for sharing this information. It's super helpful!
I'm a female producer...lol But yeah, I've wasted hundreds of dollars on classes. When I first started out, which was about 8 years ago. I had somewhat of an idea of what I needed to learn, but not the right resources. I guess that's a part of a producer's journey though. Once you learn more then you begin to filter through the bs vs. the quality and can make more sound decisions, while saving your money in the process...lol I feel like you never stop learning. Always remain a student to the game. That seems to elevate your skills more and more. Also, I learned how to sound design through one of your vids. Other people teaching it would cause me to turn the video off and totally be turned off by the whole process of it. They just didn't translate it right or made it too damn technical....lol I made 7 sounds in Sylenth thanks to you and more in the works! Your method of teaching is dope! Wish I discovered your channel years ago when I started...lol But I'm thankful I found it today though. Thanks again! I had to sub too!
"You are a game changer. You and Busy Works are all a guy needs to learn how to make these songs the right way. Thanks!" Yep, pretty much. Y'all the shit, thanks so much.
did you ghost your channels? and perhaps just not show in video? i noticed at 6:43 when you move the 808s the patterns from the kicks are there? is there a reason why ? thank you
This works really well but I've experienced problems with the compression on the 808s when I have kicks that hit before the 808s do..do you know any way I can fix this?
when you tune the kick and 808 do you have to put in key of your song. for example if my main melody or bass guitar is e should put the kick n 808 in e on da piano roll or is just tuning the drums ok
how do i... permanently tune my kick ... i almost use the Same Kick, all the time, i dont want to tune the kick in every new project , how do i tune my kick permanently ?
***** yes I did it work for sum but the pitch key doesn't. Appear at the start of the sound more like in the middle.... or like I stated when I put it into Edison n click on detect pitch region Nothing happens
i already watched both this one and the other one on how to use fl studio mixing board as a real one....now i wanna know how to compress both the buss and the side chain slots................
my mix sounds awesome unmastered once i master it the 808s sound rumbled muffled and overtaking the whole song cuz i got vocals over them everything else its in its place its just those freakin rumbled 808s once i master the song that ruins the experinece for me i leave the master at either -6 or -8db using izotope
bro I've been learning from you for a couple years now aye can I send you a beat and and have you listen to it my kick I don't know if I don't have it sounding right ?!...please and thank you Bro

This works really well but I've experienced problems with the compression on the 808s when I have kicks that hit before the 808s do..do you know any way I can fix this?
YEAH WE TALKING MUSIC ...
How do I sidechain in FL 12? Is it route now?
Dope as Fuck !!!!! I like that shit - JrosBoston.
when you tune the kick and 808 do you have to put in key of your song. for example if my main melody or bass guitar is e should put the kick n 808 in e on da piano roll or is just tuning the drums ok
+Torey Williams two words...ghost notes
+Husky Z masky when you're in the piano roll, hit alt + V
Husky Z masky ay no problem just pay it forward
Does this method stretch the sample though, like if it's originally a C and you want E will it speed up the drum sample?
how do i... permanently tune my kick ... i almost use the Same Kick, all the time, i dont want to tune the kick in every new project , how do i tune my kick permanently ?
Copy cool , thank you
next tutorial instraments pads please.
Nice man!
can i have your 808 sample ?
helpful
Are those kicks and snares native ?
Where can I find that 808 sound?
do you really need to tune your kick and change the pitch every time, I rarely see it
I pull a kick in to Edison. And tried to get the pitch key but it didn't do anything.... Why is that...
***** yes I did it work for sum but the pitch key doesn't. Appear at the start of the sound more like in the middle.... or like I stated when I put it into Edison n click on detect pitch region Nothing happens
can you make a video on buss compression thank you :)
i already watched both this one and the other one on how to use fl studio mixing board as a real one....now i wanna know how to compress both the buss and the side chain slots................
both.....i would like to know when compression is due and why............
***** thank you.
from what SSO kit is this kick?
my mix sounds awesome unmastered once i master it the 808s sound rumbled muffled and overtaking the whole song cuz i got vocals over them everything else its in its place its just those freakin rumbled 808s once i master the song that ruins the experinece for me i leave the master at either -6 or -8db using izotope
but wit if ur 808 has to different pitch region? which one u choose?
my 808 has b2 and f2 as its region (b2 is first)
choose the longest
but i cant edit mine
bro I've been learning from you for a couple years now aye can I send you a beat and and have you listen to it my kick I don't know if I don't have it sounding right ?!...please and thank you Bro
get at me if u still lookin for feedback spofficialproductions@gmail.com
My 808 last too long when it hits. I want it to hit hard ( quick release)and not let me hear it when its fading away
Edison does not tell me the pitch of my kick, when I click on detect pitch regions it wont do shit
That's cuz you're not doing it right bruhh
Thanks man ! i'm hit you on e mail for other tutorial
