perfect !!!
Thanks my friend 👍👍👍
This is a very nice job 🇸🇦
Thanks my friend from 🇸🇦 👍👍👍
Oh yeah...beautiful inspired blade. Luv the cute habaki and nice hamon. Nice to see some leather work on the handle too. Practicing to do later tanto or samurai hmmm???😆
🇦🇺🙋♂️🇦🇺
Thank you my friend. Yes, one day I will make a samurai sword 👍👍👍
Awesome brother! I would put you up there with master smiths just by your ability and imagination! Do you sell any of your knives? I would love to see what you have!
Thank you so much my friend. I usually sell, but as I am from Brazil, sending knives abroad is usually very expensive. But selling yes 👍👍👍
good work, but i think you cant use a 5160 steel for diferential heat treatment, the chemestry of the steel (chrome) produce an effect in the blade when you heat, and all the blade is hardening, in 5160 is imposible to do a differential heat treatment. But i love yoy work, grettings from chile!
Thank you very much, my friend. From the ones I did here, there is a difference in hardness when I do selective tempering, the scale value I can't tell you because I don't have test equipment, but in the rasp you can feel a difference, where there were slips of tempering and where it was gripped, that is, there was a difference in the thermal process. A big hug to you and everyone from Chile. 👍👍👍
I believe you would past the journeyman test no problem and then the master test... Never stop reaching for the stars my friend!
Thank you so much my friend, I'm very happy to read such a comment, thank you very much indeed. A big hug for you. 👍👍👍
What is the material that you dipped the blade in until it acquired a black color (the material placed inside the plastic tubes)
The material in the smaller tube, to give the dark color, is called iron perchloride, or hydrochloric acid, and in the larger tube, it is water with sodium bicarbonate, which works as an acid neutralizer. 👍👍👍

Makes knives: uses sharpened butter knife to cut leather :P love handle and hibaki
👍👍👍
wicked blade!!! LOVE the Japanese influences!
Yes they are one of the best influences 👍👍👍
Thank you for sharing this video. I’m an amateur blade smith and I’m excited about that awesome handle. I’m planning on trying to make my next knife handle the same way. Thank you
Thank you my friend. I'm glad you liked it. I'm also an amateur blacksmith, I do it as a hobby. Try to do it yes, you will really like the result, I liked it a lot. Hugs. 👍👍👍
You.just.keep.getting.better.
Love.the.style.BRAVO
Thanks my friend 👍👍👍
Sadly it looks like it did not harden the tip or the bottom om the edge. Cool blade tho.
If you follow the tempering line, you end up thinking that it didn't harden, but it did get hard. Thank you very much
What was the point of the wire and cement? I'm so confused. Captions would add a lot to the video for confused people like me. :P EDIT: Also, what is a "knife dragon boat"? I see the knife, but no dragon or boat.
This blade was designed and developed by another bladesmith. It was he who gave her that name. I simply replicated it. only that
@@MakerHA What was the wire and cement for? Was the wire to hold the cement in place and the cement used to slow down the quench of the spine? I'm guessing.
@@piousminion7822 Yes, that would be it. To make a selective tempering
Impressive job, absolutely amazing result.✌️
Thanks my friend 👍👍👍
I’m in love!! Absolutely beautiful design!!
Saw you reply on another comment here that you copied someone else’s design. Whoever did design it…is an artist! I can’t fault you for copying the design. As they say, “Imitation is the highest form of flattery”.
Yes, this project really turned out very beautiful, the lines of the blade matched well. It was designed and developed by Stuart Branson together with Loriendesign. 👍👍👍
Very elegant and beautiful knife. Love the handle inspired by katana 🙂👍
Thank you very much my friend 👍👍👍
When you were grinding, I swear I could feel the metal dust flying into my eyes
That's why I always wear glasses, safety first. 👍👍👍
What was the wire and the clay part for?
In this case just details 👍👍👍
Maker HA, That’s a beautiful knife. Never seen anything like it before.
Thank you my friend. I also really liked this model, particularly I found it very beautiful. 👍👍👍
I like extralong handles...
I don't really like it, but this one made me change my mind. 👍👍👍
👍👍👍
👍👍👍
I need this for camping
It would be a great choice for camping. 👍👍👍
That is one mean looking knife!
👍👍👍
To be honest, I didn't like it
Thanks for the sincerity 👍👍👍

Grazie mille amico mio.
👍👍👍
A good looking knife. I would suggest making the leather all the way to the guard as it might interfere with the use of the grip. I'd like to see what you came up with as a sheath.
Thank you my friend. I haven't made a hem for her at the moment, but as soon as I have a nice time, I'll make a nice one. 👍👍👍
Thank you. You do very good work Sir! I hope to see more of your work in the future.
Thank you my friend. You can leave that I will always try to bring more of my work 👍👍👍
Excellent!

Congratulations !! Beautful work my friend. Marco Antonio, São Paulo, Brazil 🙏🙏🙏🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Thank you so much Marco. A big hug for you. 👍👍👍
Great looking knife!
Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up for support
Thank you very much my friend Oneshot 👍👍👍
New Subscriber here. 👍🏿👍🏿That blade is very nice.
Thank you my friend. 👍👍👍

Luar biasa 👍
Terima kasih banyak 👍👍👍
That's a devious little stress riser you have there, but your fit and finish is immaculate.
Thank you my friend. The finish for me is very difficult for me to do with great perfection, because the lack of equipment and time harm me a lot, but I always try to do the best I can. 👍👍👍
Considering the basic equipment you have there, You've done a great job. Well done.
Thank you very much my friend 👍👍👍
Back handed compliment.
@@soulkitchen1979 Thanks my friend 👍👍👍
@@soulkitchen1979 Not really, just impressed with his skills.
Using a drill bit to mark the centre line was mind blowingly useful
Yes, this is a technique that most bladesmiths use when they don't have their own tools. 👍👍👍

I'm not good at English, so let me use the translation. I use a glass aquarium and a cake pan. In addition, when quenching, iron heated to 700 to 800 degrees is added to reduce the viscosity of the oil and increase its fluidity. Also, if you stir at the time of quenching, a better "hamon" will come out. I watch your video a lot and I think it's a very nicely shaped knife.
Dope!! Digging the long handle too🔥🔥
Thanks Loki 👍👍👍
A knife dragon boat? What?
That's the name given to the knife, which was created by another bladesmith, I just reproduced it. 👍👍👍
