  • I broke down the average cost of living in Dubai for a family of four. Major expenses include housing, transportation (should you buy a car?), schooling (I forgot to mention that this year we saved a lot because we homeschool our kids), groceries, eating out, childcare, etc.
Some families may spend less and some families might be spending more but this is just as average. Let me know on the comments below what expenses I may have missed. I have only listed down the basics.

Are you based in Dubai and are you spending more or spending less? Is Dubai a place you want to work in or invest in? I hope this video has given you an idea of the average cost of living here.

Cost of living is similar to south africa though. It's actually a bit higher here.

Hahah! I meant that it is very central and closer compared to other Asian countries (especially South Asia)

Sure will plan that. Yes there are schools that have an annual fee of 7,000aed to 12,000aed. Before I homeschooled my kids, they went to school and i spent about 20,000aed per kid per year. 😊
