Eva Rydberg och Ewa Roos är två av våra mest älskade skådespelare och artister med långa karriärer inom teater, revy, film och musik. De har delat scen många gånger - nu är det dags för dem att tillsammans äntra en av våra största musikscener. Men de är inga rena debutanter.
Eva Rydberg tävlade 1977. Och Ewa Roos har också erfarenhet av melodifestivaler. Hon vann en stor svensk talangjakt 1963 och korades till den bästa barnstjärnan i landet. Som följd fick hon representera Sverige i en internationell melodifestival för barn i italienska Riccione, med låten ”I valet och kvalet”, specialskriven åt henne av Owe Thörnqvist.
Nu hoppas de på sitt stora gemensamma genombrott, i och med medverkan i Melodifestivalen 2021.

• Namn: Ewa Maria Roos Sevenheim. Född: Den 12 juni 1949 (71 år). Uppväxt: Borås. Bosatt: Ljusterö.
• Melodifestivalrutin, Eva Rydberg: 1977: Charlie Chaplin (sjunde plats).
• Melodifestivalrutin, Ewa Roos: Debutant.
• Övrigt: Första gången Ewa Roos och Eva Rydberg träffades var när de båda spelade revy på Lisebergsteatern i Göteborg år 1969. Året innan hade Ewa Roos fått sitt definitiva genombrott med den glada slagdängan ”Vilken härlig dag”. Ewa blev senare den allra första gästartisten när Allsång på Skansen startade som tv-program 1979. Roos och Rydberg samarbetar fortfarande återkommande. Deltagandet i Melodifestivalen blir en Rydbergsk familjeaffär eftersom låten är skriven av Evas son Kalle och koreografin är gjord av Evas dotter Birgitta. Eva är också den äldsta kvinnliga artisten i Melodifestivalen genom tiderna - även om hon har en bit kvar till rekordinnehavaren Owe Thörnqvist, som var 87 år och 364 dagar när han tävlade i finalen av Melodifestivalen 2017.

I even forgot to look at dancers mostly cause these girls' energy was so high and catch me in whole song. It was like a musical. They are deserve to be on final.

Eva Rydberg is the coolest lady. I have laughed a lot with her anthics/humor through the years watching her on TV in Norway. Ewa also seems like a cool lady. Their stage presence is so authentic...happy they went through to andra chansen.

Holland won the ESC in 1975 with the song "Ding a dong" :-) Well, yesterday was the first time I ever voted in Melodifestivalen and this charming and uplifting act had my vote and was worth every vote. This is what ESC is about, a big party for all generations.

Eller hur ... ! Men min dotter som är 13 år. Lyssnar på Hiphop och annan tonårsmusik älskade dem och sa att alla kompisarna skulle rösta på dem. Tycker de är så söta. Tror längtan efter mor-, och farmödrar kommer fram när kidsen ser dem. Sedan blir man ju så otroligt glad. De är så bra. Rydberg är sånt proffs som har fått för lite tv tid.

Eva and Ewa have been my Swedish "theatre-mothers" since the first time I was introduced to comedy, theatre and dance when I was just a little teeny tiny rosebud.
*The fact that they are doing this NOW, in 2021, since their fans wasn't able to see them on the theatre stage in 2020,* *_and literally are doing it better and with more energy than me in my early 20's_* *really speaks for what these are capable of!* 👏👏👏
