Thank you for these amazing videos! Mine caught a nasty hum and I haven't been able to locate the source. What would be the obvious zones to check, acccording to you?

      Thank you for your comment.
In regards to the hum on your turntable. The first thing I would check is the ground. The motor is grounded to the chassis and will also be grounded to the shield if you’re using DIN-connection to amplifier. There are also signal ground, for right and left channel. That ground can not get connected to chassis ground. So first thing I would check, is the different grounds and if they somehow are connected.
Hope you find the reason for the hum.

@@anatticinnorway2883 thank you so much, sounds like I'm going to have a lot of fun this weekend 😉 last question, is there a way to reduce the wobbliness of the plateau, or is it just really loose by design? I couldn't define if this turntable has "transport mode" or not, like my Dual 1224.

      You are very welcome.
This wobbliness is by design. It’s to avoid the stylus needle to be skipping away on the record if any movement in building construction. Like if someone walking on the floor. But yes, that Philips has a scaring wobbling.
Have fun this weekend, searching for errors in your grounding.

Hello. Could you please explain more detailed what does that lever exactly do (at 24:56 of your video) ? I have exact same turntable and cant find any user manual on the internet for my question 🤔 thanks!

Hello and thank you for your comment.
That leveller you’re referring to is the anti skate. It adjusts the traction on the arm. The day I made that video I did not have an anti skate record to adjust, so I adjusted it to approximately the same weight as the stylus pressure to the record. I hope this could help you a little.

    Do you sell it?

Some of the things I fix I also sell. This turntable was sold just a few days after it was done. More will come.
