The season that you went has sea grass and algae, usually during summer March-May. During rainy and colder season, June-Feb, the water almost has no algae or grass. I’ve been to Boracay a few dozen times since 2005, and I rarely go during the summer season, my personal favourite is Dec-Feb.
We have Thailand and the Philippines so high up on our list to visit. Thats so cool that they shut down Boracay to sort the pollution and rubbish! Amazing accommodation. Some great tips. We love your enthusiasm in this vlog. Oh wow, that beach and water! Divine sunset. Yay Jollibees! Loved this vlog! Cheers 🍻
We are from the UK and were booked to go to the Philipines 4 years ago but it was cancelled due to covid but now I started to look at where to go next year then thought about Boracay . After a 2 week trip to Japan this year which was brilliant but extremely tiring I wanted a chilling break next year and thanks to your video I have now found it. I love your enthusiasm and honesty Lauren and your man is very lucky to have you especially as you seem to do all the work. Now I will follow this up watching your other posts.
Thank you Lauren for your honest and fantastic review. We appreciate your feedback to Boracay as a whole. Yes, we are worth the hype. Hope to see you again soon! Edz here- Urban Boutique Hotel's O Operations Manager
Great video and great host. I'm surprise you didn't go Island hoping that's one of the most awesome thing to do there not to mention seeing the most beautiful Islands.
@@SomethingSomethingg I went on a September 5 years ago, but it was a risk since typhoons would likely pass the country that month. Mid Nov is still somewhat lean season especially during weekdays (We have holidays at the start and end of the month: Nov 1-2, 30. Better avoid those dates if you want less people at the beach). Also, monitor weather forecasts in the Philippines and the Boracay area 1-2 weeks before your trip so you'll have an idea what you're in for.
I’m glad you liked your experience in Boracay. I’m a Filipino and I really love coming back to Boracay every year since 2017. On June 8, 2024, I’m coming back for the 6th time in Boracay with my husband, dad and nephew to celebrate my dad’s birthday there. 😊
I just celebrated my 50th birthday at Boracay. It's definitely the best beach ⛱️ I've ever been to. The island tour was great, but me and my partner and I enjoyed the white sand beach the most at station 1 to 3. We will come back for sure.
Sooo much care has been taken thankfully. I saw people in the water after dark looking for trash to collect to keep the beach clean. Thanks for watching 💖🙌🥰🇵🇭
Your beauty goes well with Boracay as your back drop. You vlog well showing the vibrant life in Boracay. I like the e tricycle thus limiting the noise in the area. I appreciate also, the good weather as I watched youngsters, wind surfers fanatics do their free style exercises with the cooperative waves of the season.
New subscriber here! I ❤ Boracay! I go there almost every year. It's my HAPPY PLACE. I'm sure you guys will definitely come back there. There's a lot of water activities there and lots of restaurants and coffee shops to try on your next visit. Try Cafe Maruja, 4 cheese pizza at Two Seasons, Cha Cha's, Jonah's shakes, Coco/Ube/Mango Mama, Halomango, Real Coffee Calamansi muffins, Andok's, Sea Breeze buffet in Henann Regency Hotel and Club Paraw bar/restaurant. Also try the body massage/spa in Boracay. You will love it. Try the Paraw sailing, helmet diving and parasailing. Check out Hue Hotel and their Laud buffet. Thank you for visiting our country. I can't wait to watch your next vlog. Enjoy and be safe. ❤
I know you want to be positive, would be helpful to give the pros and cons. Great beach and sand, one of the best sunsets. Cons way too crowded, tricycle driver charging 5 to 10 time more than he should. Food mostly very good at a world class resort reasonable priced. Went a few times and it's time to checkout other resorts.
I was in Boracay a week ago during clear skies window period. The water was so clear and the sand was so fine and clean it’s glistening. So many locals offer services tours and food, but they don’t insist if you say no to them. Boracay is a natural wonder.
I also recommend El Nido in Palawan and Siargao . Other interesting places to visit as well are the following: Baguio City, San Juan Beach in La Union, Caramoan Island, Balesin Island, Banaue Rice Terraces, and Kawasan Falls in Cebu City.
My only concern is the crowds. I'm not super introverted but I like to a balance between enough people to socialize with and being so mobbed that you can't even move
You need to travel to beaches along the Indian Ocean of Africa. Some of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen!😍 especially the more secluded areas.
There’s more than one beach in Boracay. The most famous, which also has the longest coastline is the White beach. It’s the most crowded, too. Station 1 (White Beach) has the best sand ever. I also used to love Puka Beach, but it has also become over-crowded. It’s still the best for taking photos in crystal kayak. Just on the other side of White Beach is the Bulabog beach. Some of the accommodation there isn’t as pricey. It’s also less crowded. If you fancy snorkeling, then I recommend Ilig-Iligan beach. Diniwid also has its appeal. Great place to take pics and more private and with snorkeling area, but I wasn’t able to do snorkeling there. It’s beautiful, but avoid it during typhoon as all the trash goes there. If you want more privacy, then you may check in Savoy Hotel, Fairways and Blue Waters, Movenpick, Shangrila, New Coast, etc. These resorts have their own beaches with white sand.
First time I've been to Boracay , was majority ran by generators , no close airport back then , pristine clean beach with still few hotels then. Explored the local islanders and it was amazing . Watching current videos of Boracay now really changed and no longer my cup of tea . Extreme tourism can sometimes spoil the real beauty of this island. Kinda sad.
I grew up half of my childhood in boracay and used to always go to the beach with my cousins and swim. Living in Australia now and they have amazing beaches here but I still miss boracay sometimes.
....i could be wrong....but the boracay sand is made by the protista.. diatomes ....which made the " diatomeous earth" idiom......also used to polish jewellery.....and in makeup also.....

The months long shutdown did saved this island, been back and forth in Boracay but majority of the people I talk to always says positive things about closing the island.
Being from Florida, I really liked Boracay. It has beauty it has nice people. The beaches were clean. I live on west side of Florida so it's nice to see clean beaches. The one thing that bugged me. Was all the vendors especially at night. Every minute I was approached by some one either to eat in a restaurant, go sailing, sky diving, some toy they were trying to sell. Island hopping. Couod not just walk and enjoy was just solicited. All over Florida's beaches all these options are available and not annoyed as I was with the vendors on the beach at boracay. At night there is no escape. Only bad experience though. Plenty of food options . Plenty of hotels to choose from.
Ahhh I see how that can be annoying getting sold something every few metres. Thankfully, I didn't find that too bad during my stay; maybe the camera was a deterrent, haha! Thanks for watching 💖
