    My torch retract towards the end of the light cycle. Its nice and puffy in the morning. Are my light too intense? Prime blues over 100% 3 hrs then ramp down. Torch in the sand 24” deep.

      You should be fine, its usually normal for the torch corals to close up under the blue lights, as long as he is open for most of the day I would call it good.

    How often do you dose and is it hard to dose? I’m a little scared of doseing.

    • @EagleAquatics
      @EagleAquatics  5 років тому

      I dose BRS 2 part and dose calcium every other day and alkalinity every day to maintain calcium level of 450 and alkalinity level of 9.4. Magnesium not as much maybe every month to keep level around 1400. It takes a while to get it down pat but once you do its very easy. Definitally do it though it produces excellent results.

    Can torch corals touch each other, as in other torches? It should be okay right? But I think Euyphillias can’t touch others? Like Frog vs Torch? Thanks

    • @EagleAquatics
      @EagleAquatics  4 роки тому

      I'm pretty sure you can havre torch corals touching each other because I have seen people do it. all other euphillias can touch each other though, frogspawn and hammer corals can touch each other and even grow into each other, I had a whole rock of them all touching and no problems. You can mix torch and other euphillias though because the torch will sting them.

      @@EagleAquatics i have a torch that hasn't been fully expanded for quite some time, i don't know if it needs a dipping, but if so, what would work?

    • @EagleAquatics
      @EagleAquatics  4 роки тому +1

      Doesn't hurt to dip it. Use coral Rx dip its good. Also try moving it, if its towards the bottom maybe move it up, if its on the top maybe move it down.

    What do you use to heat your 125 gallon reef? Thanks

    • @EagleAquatics
      @EagleAquatics  5 років тому

      I use the trusty ol' eheim jager 300 watt heater, they are cheap and reliable, no problems so far.

      I only have mine ramping up to 65% intensity and 100% color 2 hours in the day and then they slowly ramp down. I have them on for about 12 hours though. I wouldn't go higher than 70% intensity unless you mostly have SPS.
