Thank you for the tips. Very useful. You mentioned using Food Grade water hoses, but you only mentioned it was 'Recommended '. The reason it's Recommended is because normal Garden Hoses can give off harmful chemicals when used. You need to use a hose that doesn't do that.
Thanks for the information. It’s useful for viewers reading the comments.
As veteran caravan and motor home person and also a retired electrician. For the electrics I can't recommend enough the need to extend the EHU lead. But also to have a cheap and cheerful plug in socket tester. It tells you if the polarity is correct (very important for safety reasons) and even if the power is on to your van.
A very good suggestion. Thank you for watching and your comment.
Love your channel, informative and fun. Thanks.
Thank you. We sincerely appreciate your continuing support. Next video may be a little too much “Carry On” for some… but it’s just us… being us.
Hi, excellent and V useful vlog. Please advise whether you went for the standard or the longline Taylormade cover. Thanks
Thanks. We went for the long one that covers the vents.
Informative and useful video as I have come to expect from you guys, and good to see Fran back with you.👍
Thank you. It is feedback like yours that keeps us going and we sincerely appreciate it. The next video, also with Fran, may prove a little too “Carry On” for some but it is how we are. No different to how we are when we meet people.
Excellent video! Really helpful, thank you 😊
Thank you for watching and your lovely feedback 😁
Some useful gadgets. We love our windscreen cover. Lovely to see Fran back. Take care Gill
The exterior cover is a necessity. Thanks for watching. Paul & Fran.
Thank you so much for your brilliant info, just ordering our correct cable thanks to you from your link ....😀
Thanks. Some will use cable with 1.5mm core but club sites (rightly) and an electrician (now over 50 years in trade) friend of mine reminds people “it is all about safety margins.”
I’m glad Fran and the Carry on references are back 😂 I’m looking for a gas spanner as we speak…thank you!
Thanks. The thing is it’s not hammed up for the videos. It’s just us. May not be to everyone’s liking but that’s ok 😁 If you thought that was a Carry On format the next one filmed and scheduled for Friday 18th March is definitely “Carry On.” So much so it’s in the title 😂 Thanks for the support 💪
It’s interesting seeing over time the really useful items and the never really used items but needed ‘just in case’ isn’t it. Grips mats proved very useful for us and neighbouring campers just once in the past but were a godsend, they also double up as a great boot scraper door mat if not being used under the wheels 😊
Grip mats might be a purchase for us this year. Never thought of the additional use as a boot scraper 😁 Thanks for watching Sue.
another good blog
Thanks 👍
Nice video. I would add a First aid kit to the list
Yes we should have given it a separate mention (it was included with the Safety Kit image) but is also separate in the Storefront. Thanks for watching.
Hi Guys, my first time using a campervan so thank you for making this video. Please can you share what discount camper cards to buy and what sites would you recommend in the UK & France to see thanks again 👍.
Thanks. We cannot recommend any discount cards. We have reviewed quite a few UK campsites but have not yet done any in France. We wish you many happy travels. 😁
I so agree with you regarding the items to 'take with'.. I carry a 25m and a 10m cable covers pretty much everything. Toilet chemicals, I don't use them as I fitted the Thetford fan system. What can I say? it works. Agree with you that it's nice to have certain things specific to the van for the same reasons.
Not looked at a Thetford fan system. Will do some research thanks. Yes I am not keen on bringing everything “from home” as it just adds to the whole preparation thing. Particularly as our van is in storage.
Brilliant very informative been relating all this to the wife as been watching these she probably bored of it by now 😂😂but this is such useful information for newbies just found out mine is a truma system are they easy to get along with??watched one of your blogs where you changed the fridge from electric to gas ??? You made it look so easy to change so quick thanks again Jeff 👍🏽👍🏽
Thanks again. Truma (like any make) are fine but (like many) are easy to trip error codes. The most common being switching the system on before turning on the gas.
👍
I once saw an unwound electric cable reel turn into a melting smoking mess. Not nice.
Some believe it can never be a problem but of course it can be.
Hi. What size hose would you recommend?
We have x2 10m flat hoses that can be connected together. Currently only used one of them.
Thankyou.. new to all this so have a shopping list compiled 👍
Hi, I can't seem to find the link for the van stickers with the statistics on... height, length, width etc...
Unfortunately they are no longer available from supplier. There are other companies doing the same. Here is one 👉 www.ebay.co.uk/itm/125015295646?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=b4vlnh4vros&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=TWjg6kFDSgW&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
