Great job! Quick question: how high was the pre-amp set on your H5 here? I'm assuming you are using the x-y mic. I ask because I always seem to need to set mine to 8 or higher. Thanks.
Hi David, thanks for listening. I don't remember how high I set the XY mic gain, but it wasn't cranked all the way up. The audio gets a lot louder in the mastering process, so I try not to over-do it on the preamp.
That was a terrific cover Jack. One of my favourite songs. I try and record my songs in the Zoom H5 but never was able to achieve that sound like yours. Do you use low cut filter and compression on the H5. Or is everything done in the DAW?
You would need a good mic and something to record that sound captured. The zoom h5 he has here does both using an SD card in the recorder to record the audio, hope that helps
wow great vocals and guitar! wow! i have a huge question and i hope you could help me, is it possible to do a multi track recording in zoom h5 that the vocals and keyboard are recorded simultaneously and transfer it to laptop and to edit the tracks individually for final mixing using daw?
Yes, you can record two tracks simultaneously with the H5- so one vocal, and one keyboard in mono, using the XLR/line inputs. Those files can be transferred to a laptop via SD card or USB connection directly to the Zoom. It's super easy, and the sound quality is great. Enjoy!

Yes, the audio has been mixed in Logic X and mastered in Ozone.
