I was thinking the same thing.
This is exactly what happened when I got married to my girl..after 4 years of relationship and then 5 years of long distance relationship and also struggle to convene both parents.. supposed to get married in 6 years took nearly 9 years.. and when we got married.. trust me so much emotions... And now allhumdulillah by the grace of God ... we have two kids and we live in Melbourne where I moved before my marriage for higher studies ..

Developing some fondness for that person over time is not the kind of love poets write about .
