Can't remember their names but Bill said in an interview that the characters were based on that video, making it even funnier.

That's right, the SNL skit is inspired by Dick Oliver. Probably the guy whose clip you saw
Hader is not just simply a "comedy genius". He knows the psychological background of all his characters; he forms his characters on a whole new level. Everything he does is in the perfect proportion; not one move of the eyelid is too much or too little. He is highly intelligent and he uses his brain to act. Very rare. He is an incredible actor.

I never thought Jason was a particularly versatile performer but one thing I respect about him is he commits 100 percent to what he does. He really sells a joke.

Bill Hader must be the only performer in SNL to portray so many awesome characters and make almost all of them work like anything. From Stefan To Herb Welch. He could be the only guy to make even the creepiest character into so much funny and lovable. He often breaks character but ultimately makes it more enjoyable to watch. His transition to Barry is also mighty impressive. Such an awesome cast member for SNL. He is a true legend for snl. Always love his work♥️

Emma Stone and Bill Hader really work well as a duo.
You can tell how much Kristen and Bill gets a long with one another (true friendship). I haven't seen any other cast-member which Kristen shines more with then him. Bill has always been notorious for pushing his co-stars a bit further for that extra laugh, and you can tell that he is really trying to get Kristen to break character XD It's amazing. Really love these two.
