Mark Poole has said that the art for BoP was actually supposed to be for a regular island, he even showed the original assignment sheet he received on a Whatnot stream and there was no Volcanic Island on the list of cards they were looking for artists for, just two normal Islands.
Nah he was way off, should have known volcanic island had the volcano full and center and wouldn't have still looked tiny like that if you zoomed in on the card.
Remy is bang on when he said about checking the price of cards you've sold for a comparatively low price and it being soul crushing. I once sold a Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale for £70 (around $100 at the time) and now it goes for over £3,700 on average 😭

You can see the Moon and the Sun in different parts of our daytime sky pretty regularly on a clear day. Wrong moon phase for this, but 1) Art isn't always factually accurate. 2) None of the Magic sets are set on our world except for Portal Three Kingdoms. This could be done if there was another larger moon in the sky that was casting a shadow on this moon. 3) This is Magic the Gathering. Anything is possible if your setting involves magic.

The point of the video is that most of the quiz is questions related to cards in Remy's content. If not, no one would be able to match thoralf in quiz questions 😅
I usually only know at most like 2 of these because i do not know Magic too well, but this time with the Vanguard, Doom Blade and Nighthawk there were 3 cards i thoroughly remember from the time i started and played very actively (Rise of Eldrazi until Avacyn Restored) so in this for me very nostalgic edition i managed to score 6 points, thank you guys for amazing content like this

The only ones I got wrong were the basic land count, Golgari Grave Troll, and Juzam Djinn. Didn't know Hermit Druid was still banned in Legacy, and I knew the Troll was banned in Modern. I have really good visual memory, so the art questions like Birds of Paradise, Doom Blade, and Daze were easy.
The fact I knew the second zoomed image was Vampire Nighthawk astounds me. Haven't played MTG in years, and haven't seen that card for even longer. It was just used a lot in my local meta so I guess I remembered it.
Thoralf deserves the point for volcanic island! Birds of paradise was originally supposed to be volcanic island! But they didn’t like that the bird was in the foreground, so they just made it birds of paradise! This is why they forgot to include volcanic island in the alpha set :D

Fun fact about that Birds of Paradise art. It was initially submitted for Volcanic Island (or maybe just a regular Island), but they didn't use it for that because the bird featured so prominently. Rather than reject the art completely though, they designed Birds of Paradise around the art.

I got everything right apart from Daze, even thought 2000€ for the djinn. I might be a nerd. Really liked that video concept, I'd love it if you made more like that.
Its was a fun one, hope to see more in the future. One only point - maybe change how 3-2-1 point guestions works? It would be more complex and, well, maybe its actualy gonna be too fiddly for this type of video, but I think it would be cool if they wouldn't stop at first correct quess and let other player to score atleast some points. Like how Remy could show his answers (doesn't showing it to a Thoralf somehow... This is the hardest part), get 3 points, but Thoralf could still get 2 or 1 points later in this around... Again, not a big deal and maybe not worth the hassle, still an amazing video
This was a surprise because no one has ever gotten the zoomed in photos before 😅 they usually get to the full art. Remy was just a prodigy. We did not plan for him to do so well

I did correctly guess bop, but only because I remember something about the history of this card, and how the island was supposed to be the focus of the card, but they ended up making the the bird the focus of the card, so this art more than most is very memorable. If you showed me 100 zoomed in card arts I probably correctly guess like 10 of them if I'm lucky, but bop is too memorable.
