I always liked him, even when certain people were judging him in the mid 2000s during his HSM phase. While I was never the biggest HSM fan, I did enjoy his other movies like 17 again, The Lucky One, etc.
Almost all teen heartthrobs will go through a "questionable" phase until they actually mature enough to learn who they really are in the industry. I think that's because when they reach a certain age of independence, all the repression they've done as child/teen stars just explode and they find that new kind of freedom. It wears off eventually.
Not to be insensitive but he's also using his car accident to get plastic surgery and lie about it. Jaw reconstruction doesn't give you an entirely different jaw and chin lol

@@prrxo exactly! That was a long time ago. His jaw got huge just before covid I think. And I think the swelling went down since then. Before and after pics are dramatic. And I think he has lip fillers too. I still love him but he for sure gor work done.
His face isn't settled. Jaw surgery is pretty invasive and in some cases the swelling can take up to a year to subside. He may be experiencing numbness around his mouth due to where the incisions were made. It takes time for sensation to return and sometimes it does not. He's still a very handsome young man. I'm confused. Accident 2013, but jaw change around 2020. Had to be surgery for cosmetic reasons maybe he had a jaw injury on 2013, then came to not like how his jawline was looking. Then a plastic surgeon made his jaw line very strong.

I’ve had jaw surgery and also had an implant placed and the healing process can take a long time. I’m still like 3 years post op and mine is still healing. It’s a very invasive surgery. My face has changed constantly throughout the healing process that it looked like I got fillers on my face. I can’t imagine being in the spotlight and people assuming the worst. I mean he doesn’t owe anyone any explanations but he very much could’ve just cleared it in a post with just educating people more so people could stop the rumors. It sounds like a touchy situation though.
His face changed drastically... It's been 9 years since the accident and if you compare pictures from 2018 to pictures from 2022, there's no way it was just the healing process.

Oooof! Broke mine three yrs ago. Split in hlf and snapped both sides. Pushed pieces of bone just centimeters away from my brain. The road to recovery is extremely painful and long as hell! The pain and starvation will literally change you as a person. Much respect for him getting through tht! Annnnd what most people dont know is when you damage or tamper with those nerves by your jaw, it gives you temp or permanent paralysis in your face. Weird parts of your face too. Makes you realize how cohesive your body functions and how everything is connected. One thing can throw off the whole spectrum.

I just recently broke my jaw in 4 places after I fell face first into a brick/stone patio. It’s an awful injury and I truly feel for him that people are so shallow and making home feel bad about what he endured. I think he still looks very handsome. ❤️

He had 3 different jaw surgeries. One years ago after falling into a glass table, according to him/ his management, then the second less than a year ago from supposedly falling into his fountain, and then the third recently that is a little smaller and more rounded. There were three jaw implants. It's obvious when you look at photos. Plastic surgeons on YT have said so too. It's wider now and longer and his lips are stretched out wider. There was filler put in his cheeks and lips, which has dissipated a little. He's had 3 nose jobs and a blepharoplasty. He's still handsome, but a little strange in the lower part of his face. Switch out the jaw implant to the natural width.

I totally understand and I can tell he is being honest. I was hit by a car when I was younger and my jaw was broken in three different places and I had to have my jaw wired shut for weeks in order for it to sit right and oh yeah, I was also in a coma for several days. People would look at me today and wouldn’t really be able to tell, but might see my jaw move a certain way and make up insane rumors. He is lucky to be alive. That is all that matters.

I fainted and broke my jaw a few years back. There’s something about breaking your jaw that seems to make people suspicious. Some people question how I got injured and didn’t believe that I fainted in my bathroom.
Same. I also lost my front tooth and injured 4 other teeth. I've heard so many horrible comments about it. No one actually believes that I passed out from dehydration and malnutrition... I had been up for 3 days and was insanely sick. Now I have to deal with people saying I'm a drug addict and I was high or that I just don't brush my teeth. It's honestly one of the worst things that has ever happened to me. My husband was an addict and he's been sober for 6 years now. He's the only one that knows what really happened and he helps me cope with it. I really hope I'll be able to get my teeth fixed. I have a bad scar on my chin/bottom lip where my teeth went through. So awful. I'm sorry you have to deal with mean people too.

@@deusexmachina9776 Some injuries take multiple surgeries to fix so that’s probably the reason. Reconstructive surgeries take a lot and sometimes there’s corrections that need to be made.

I was assaulted and my nose broken in pieces. I almost lost my eye. I had surgery and after a year my face went back to looking more natural. Be kind to people. That’s all I have to say.
Oooof! Broke mine three yrs ago. Split in hlf and snapped both sides. Pushed pieces of bone just centimeters away from my brain. The road to recovery is extremely painful and long as hell! The pain and starvation will literally change you as a person. Much respect for him getting through tht! Annnnd what most people dont know is when you damage or tamper with those nerves by your jaw, it gives you temp or permanent paralysis in your face. Weird parts of your face too. Makes you realize how cohesive your body functions and how everything is connected. One thing can throw off the whole spectrum.

I just recently broke my jaw in 4 places after I fell face first into a brick/stone patio. It’s an awful injury and I truly feel for him that people are so shallow and making home feel bad about what he endured. I think he still looks very handsome. ❤️

He is 34 years old and people seem astonished that he looks different than he did when he was 18 and on high school musical. It looks thicker and more mature. He does not look old by any means, but he clearly looks older.

He had 3 different jaw surgeries. One years ago after falling into a glass table, according to him/ his management, then the second less than a year ago from supposedly falling into his fountain, and then the third recently that is a little smaller and more rounded. There were three jaw implants. It's obvious when you look at photos. Plastic surgeons on YT have said so too. It's wider now and longer and his lips are stretched out wider. There was filler put in his cheeks and lips, which has dissipated a little. He's had 3 nose jobs and a blepharoplasty. He's still handsome, but a little strange in the lower part of his face. Switch out the jaw implant to the natural width.

I totally understand and I can tell he is being honest. I was hit by a car when I was younger and my jaw was broken in three different places and I had to have my jaw wired shut for weeks in order for it to sit right and oh yeah, I was also in a coma for several days. People would look at me today and wouldn’t really be able to tell, but might see my jaw move a certain way and make up insane rumors.

I fainted and broke my jaw a few years back. There’s something about breaking your jaw that seems to make people suspicious. Some people question how I got injured and didn’t believe that I fainted in my bathroom.
Same. I also lost my front tooth and injured 4 other teeth. I've heard so many horrible comments about it. No one actually believes that I passed out from dehydration and malnutrition... I had been up for 3 days and was insanely sick. Now I have to deal with people saying I'm a drug addict and I was high or that I just don't brush my teeth. It's honestly one of the worst things that has ever happened to me. My husband was an addict and he's been sober for 6 years now. He's the only one that knows what really happened and he helps me cope with it. I really hope I'll be able to get my teeth fixed. I have a bad scar on my chin/bottom lip where my teeth went through. So awful. I'm sorry you have to deal with mean people too.
