- Two of the most storied basketball schools in NYC's PSAL (in recent years) are Lincoln and Jefferson. The 2 Brooklyn schools have produced loads of pros. Abraham Lincoln High School produced basketball players like Stephon Marbury, Lance Stephenson, Sebastian Telfair and Isaiah Whitehead. Thomas Jefferson HS produced more than 10 NBA players back in the day. More recently Shamorie Ponds was a star there (now at St Johns).
Now Jefferson is led by young sophomore star Jaquan Carlos who has a chance to be one of the next greats out of NYC.
Check out these raw highlights from Jefferson at Lincoln. Jefferson won 83-76. Jaquan Carlos finished with 21 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds for Jefferson. Kareem Welch who's off to a hot start this season scored 27 points, 5 assists and unofficially 16 rebounds! Kevin Tabb scored 18 and Ramsey Salem added 16 for Jefferson.
