I'm impressed both men were kept apart after 2 years to finally do a storytelling together. The 4 pillars of AEW have done an absolute job. Darby Allin versus MJF looks promising.
The one pillar MJF will have trouble with. Not even his Dynamite Diamond ring will be a factor

I love the nod to the Four Pillars of Heaven. Shows how much trust AEW has in them, and how big a priority they are for AEW. Those are some giant shoes to fill however, the Pillars are 4 of the greatest wrestlers of all time, hope they can live up to it.

My favorite part of this segment happened later in the night when Sammy won the TNT title *after* Darby reminded MJF that between the four of them he was the only one to have won a championship yet. Sammy's win at the end of the episode added some nice weight to that line.

I don’t know how anyone could not like MJF. He’s a great heel, great on the mic, and just is such a good performer in matches. Hands down one of my favorites in AEW.

maaaaan ever since AEW began this was a feud I was always WAITING for. we got feuds with Darby/Sammy, MJF/Sammy, and Jungle Boy has had banger matches with them both. but the idea of Darby and MJF never crossing paths until now is actually insane. I genuinely believe these two could pull a Michaels/Hart type of feud off and this could be that initial meeting that kickstarts it.
I have to give Darby props for the way he dealt with that MJF promo. the way he closed his eyes and just looked up, not giving MJF any emotion. the "keep talking" like really shows how much restraint he has even with the egging on from MJF. this feud is gonna bang so hard and the idea of the "4 Pillars" is a genius move because this company has truly been based around them. put a world title between these two and it's gonna be a historic feud for the books that's forsure.

The Inner Circle-Pinnacle feud is done and for the best. Each member is on different storytelling that aren't faction warfare for a good while until the AEW staff decide for another *faction vs faction* story for probably next year.

I’ve wanted this feud for awhile. Honestly wanted it for the World Title next year but I’m all for this. MJF’s best matches have been with Jungle Boy and Sammy so I expect the same here. Both Allin and MJF have an old school mentality so I can see this being very special
Only thing I would have changed about this segment is Allin and MJF swapping places because that way we can see Allin’s face paint which works because he where’s the paint because of his uncles death which is what MJF talks about in the promo.

The rivalry between MJF and Darby Allin could very well become one of, if not, the greatest pure "non-World Wrestling Entertainment" superstars' rivalry after 2000. This has the caliber to be a long-term story of many years, not just a pinnacle of matches. So everyone should observe it with full concentration taking hold of all the small details which could be used later on.

Looking back at this segment now, it hinted at the eventual feud between Punk and MJF. Punk not only was willing to speak up and shut up MJF before Darby confronted MJF, but MJF said he respected Darby on the fact that he is "straight edge." I wonder who else incorporated that into their persona? Tony Khan really is the Eiichiro Oda of bookers. This man took Hangman's story 2 years to finally get him to be the number one guy.

I think this should've ended with Darby saying "Is that all you got?" or something to that effect. That's basically what they were trying to get across but would've been a cold statement from Darby and given MJF a good line to react to.
