    For those unfamiliar with my work, I document the equipment made for this industry, as I simply find its mechanical/design aspects interesting. While I support CNG and natural gas fuels, nostalgia has me fascinated with machinery of yesteryear. I share my photos/videos on youtube for others to enjoy (for the same reasons as me). Well you certainly havnt wasted much time in Colorado haha. I hope you like reading...
    That Haul Away Mack sounded awesome and was pretty entertaining all around, certainly hope theres plenty more of that for a future upload
    The Maxon had a pretty awesome sound to it, both revving and at idle. I'd completely forgotten that they had a Legal One too
    Mack MR and Rapid Rail has always been a great looking combo and its awesome to see one being revved like that too. I'm liking the green tailgate too. Yellow gets old fast haha
    WC Mack MR Heil is even cool. Decent revving (especially for a new truck) and still has an awesome sound to it.
    And The frickin WM Bridgeport.. probably one of the ones that surprised me the most oddly enough. Its pretty fast and actually quite enjoyable to watch. Something about the way it operates seems a little different, in a good way. And seeing one in those colors is pretty cool regardless.
    The WC Amrep MSL might be a little slow but the fact that it actually revvs up is plenty good enough for me and I love how he runs the crusher panel while lifting the cart. Might be slow but he saves as much time as possible which is cool to see. Also has a nice sort of howl to it too. Has one of my favorite cart tippers as well.
    I even like the pendpac since it flip lids and collecting those Snyders is cool too. I like lid-stop carts when the lids pop shut like that on their own.
    The Kann W/ Curotto Can 1 is just awesome. I love that the curotto doesnt have the mesh around the rim either. Thats how I remember them when I was little. Bit of a bummer its slow but all around its a damn cool combo and awesome find. Do they have any more like that? (any age group of curotto paired with those Kanns)
    Rocky Mountain! Is that an old DSNY truck? I know they have the carcass(literally) of one in front of their yard. I was told a lot of these old DSNY CCCs had detroits. Might not be the case or an engine swap, assuming it even is one. Helper didnt seem too thrilled at first when driving out of the cul de sac haha
    I remember finding one of those Alpine trucks on G Maps and thinking they'd be neat to film. Cool that there is footage of them now.
    Funny how a few trucks had 2 workers. Automateds in particular. apparently its the cool thing to do in CO lol
    Awesome video. Nice to see a video like this made up of nothing but new things.

    I'm really glad to see the PMB truck up and running. Paul had just received that thing, and it was having problems with it. Sounds great too! look forward to more from you Scott.

    Great video! That first truck sounded so amazing! The springs waste services rapid rail was very entertaining too! Never seen a WM Bridgeport before, looks good in WM colors. Enjoyed all the other trucks in the video too!

    Wow. Pretty much what Mike said. The LE RL and the MR RR were probably my favorites, along with the CCC RL. Awesome post, can't wait for the rest!

    Wow! Outstanding footage! Excellent work! That LE/Neilus at first sounded pretty boss! Also, very well kept! Kudos to CR&R! Also, really enjoyed the sound and speed of that MR Rapid Rail! Very unique and cool to see a Pete BP Ranger in WM colors. That was a cool sight! Guessing Ex EDS Disposal? Really loved that WC Xpeditor Amrep. That had to be my favorite truck in this whole completion. The fact it's my favorite combo on a carted route! That's just awesome! Very nice catch on both those WXLL Dempsters, with OG Curotto Cans! That was sick! They also both sounded nice. Wow! That CCC Heil was just amazing! Almost looks Ex DSNY. But my lord, that sounded beastly! All around excellent video and quality. Thank you for taking the time to document such badass trucks! Thoroughly enjoyed this video!

    I love these mix videos and you brought it Scott, job well done! I had to watch that first clip of the Mack twice, because it sounded so fucking insanely awesome... just listen to that growling output as it takes off down the road and gets through the gears - I'm glad you got a nice long departure shot! A bit off topic from the truck, but I thought the crack of thunder in the 2nd clip was sweet :P The WM Bridgeport was a nice surprise, don't think I've seen one before, definitely a nice looking truck, I still can't get over the Ranger arm too. The old purple F5000 was alright to watch in action, could do with a fresh coat of paint and a new signboard but. Always amuses me in a lot of videos where guys will wave at the camera as if it's the last time they'll see you, kind of at the end of this, but little do they know it's only the beginning of them being stalked. Awesome mix of trucks, I'm keen to check out the next mixed upload.

      +MitchellM15 Thanks Mitch! You're the only one who commented on that clap of thunder behind the Maxon, each time I watch this I'm reminded how much I love that element of the clip. Agree about the waves hahaha, often think yeahhh, I'm not done with you yet. Cheers for all the comments, do appreciate you taking time to catch up. And seeing as the first one I saw was 8 hours ago and this one's now 4 hours ago, it took some time lol.

    WOW! Great compilation! I really miss seeing amrep MSLs up here. Looks like you found the rarest WM truck in the country. That og curotto reminds me of the 1994 heil I've been looking for since March.

    Brilliant. I'll start with my favorite truck; wouldn't have chosen to paint the old DSNY 5000 purple, but man is it cool to see her still earning her keep. A bit worse for wear (especially when compared to the Alpine truck right afterward), but that just adds character. Plus she sounds just as glorious as ever. The Amrep is definitely sticks out as a truck I'd like to see more of, can I look forward to a separate vid? The last WM clip really shows how far the Curotto has come; way crappier yet infinitely cooler than new units. Hanging the thing off the forks of a Resi Hercules kicks the cool factor up another couple notches. And this is coming from someone who is no fan of AFLs. I'll get to gushing over pmb later in it's own vid's comments. Nice job all around.

      Thanks George, agreed about the curotto and EZ Pack. There actually are more than one of those trucks in the town I currently call home, and so far each one I've seen has that old curotto. maybe I'll find a faster one someday?
      And I got plenty more Amrep....more than usual as a matter of fact.
      Beside my own desires, only a few viewers were the reason I deciding to wait around all day for that damn old DSNY truck to show. But well worth it IMO, even with the stops soooo spread apart and the guys sketched out. Thanks again~

    Mind blow. Has to be your best video so far! Great compilation of trucks. did that PMB front loader come over on the mayflower? Loved the first rear load for obvious reasons, any chance we see more or it??? Loved the WM Bridgeport too, can't say I've seen one before. And then there was the EZ-Pack/Origional Curotto. GREAT find there. Surprised you even bothered with the ZR knowing you haha. Definitely a great compilation of trucks, cant imagine how much time and effort went into finding out these existed and then tracking them down. Noticed vests and boots aren't exactly common out there haha. also noticed quite a few two man crews on automated trucks, guessing you always ran into them on training day??? Again FANTASTIC video!!!

    Fantastic video man! I loved the great variety of trucks. I've never seen waste management with curotto cans out here. I used to work on that Haulaway truck back in the day haha. I really like that rocky mountain disposal truck too. I'm glad somebody finally filmed an Alpine truck. Look forward to seeing what else you have to share with us. We are going to try to get some more footage of The Garbage Man of Parker services soon. Anyway great job on this video.

      aaron zimmerman Yeah in fact you'd make a pretty good subject of a video, so maybe I'll get down there sometime and meet up on your route. Then the people here might like seeing Joey's truck too.....

      ***** Yeah for sure. I think everybody would like seeing that truck along with all of the others. Leaf season would be a great time to film...Tristan and I are going to try to figure something out.

    Excellent video Scott! I love all the trucks, but my favorite is the Mack LE McNeilus rear loader! Just listen to those deep beastly growls from that Mack E7 engine! any more footage of that truck?

    Awesome video! Man that first truck was amazing. Very nice looking truck and it was cool to see it with that gripper tipper. Sounded awesome too. 1:33 was an awesome shot with the fields in the background, definitely reminds me of Colorado. What a cool scout truck too. Ah I remember that Springs truck, was that in the Denver or Colorado Springs area? Wow WM Bridgeport looked reallly cool. What city was that truck in? Looks to be a newer unit since it's a 1043_ _. Bet you enjoyed seeing the Amrep MSL from WC lol The WM Curotto was very cool too, looked and sounded awesome. I noticed many of the trucks had two workers like the Curotto and Springs RR, any idea why? Wow that Rocky truck was awesome. Very nice compilation, looking forward to part 2! Also I'll be sending you more of what I find on Maps in Colorado as time passes :) Great job on this!!

    • @Trashman242
      @Trashman242  10 років тому

      ***** Yup, Springs is a common nickname for "Colorado Springs," so that company is based in The Springs...and they have like 10+ Mack/RR's, so that makes me believe they're all ex-city units from Texas or somewhere.The bp ranger is in Golden, and is an ex-Evergreen Disposal truck.My hypothesis for two guys in the automated trucks is training, summer is a good time to do that...Thanks for your help in google maps, and the comments here. Happy to see people appreciate this

      Canon HF R300.
      be advised that you'll need to buy a replacement battery, and it's got a rather faulty lens cap. not perfect, but the video is alright and the sound is true

    Is Haul away a division of CR&R

    • @Trashman242
      @Trashman242  9 років тому

      yes. In colorado, CR&R runs its trash and its storage container business under 'Haulaway'....in other states Haulaway just refers to the company's storage container business.
