    Dear Laurence,
    There is no need to worship anyone or to become a Sikh if you practice Kundalini Yoga. Kundalini Yoga is about self experience, and finding the Divine Light within. However, there is a connection between these two paths. Here are few links to some articles on 3HO.org that may be of use to you.

    I did a seminar with Guru Charan back around 1975. It was very intense and focused on auras. After one of the exercises, I could clearly see auras. Not, I thought I could see or maybe that was an aura. This was very viable and very powerful. Then I met him again in 1976 at the Summer Solstice retreat in New Mexico. All the best to you wherever you are!

    Thank you! I could never make sense of the "posture yoga" and confusion as to which yoga did what, kept me away for years. A breakthrough in my thinking has led me to this video. Your description is absolutely appealing on so many levels. Peace.

      @@xyx473 I was suffering from a severe post traumatic stress disorder. With PTSD the nervous system is extremely reactive. As a consequence I often had overwhelming emotions and thoughts and at the same time I felt very disconnected from myself.
      Practicing Kundalini Yoga was a huge part of my healing journey. We focus the whole time on our third eye during a Kundalini session. When you practice Kundalini regulary your left and right brain start to connect more and more through focussing on the 3rd eye. This calms your thoughts (the monkey mind) and it also calms your nervous system. I also like the philosophy of Kundalini Yoga, which is in short: be relaxed and fierce at the same time....*)))

    Well... When I had my first true kundailni experience, I was not aware of such thing called kundalini... nor was I into yoga..
    However, I was not unaware of how we are all created by energy.
    Now, those wonderful symptoms which describes "kundalini syndrome" has increased drastically as some of those had already been going on for years already.
    Life has certainly taken a new turn since last summer.. I learned that I am High Sensitive Person HSP) and an introvert.
    Thanks for the info though..
    I can feel my kundalini energy hum like an airplane engine...

    "“Guru Nanak was a very good yogi, trained by very good yogis" as per the link shown below.
    Exactly which Yogis did Nanak learn from?

    • @pavanSingh-ts5ym
      @pavanSingh-ts5ym 5 років тому

      Guru Nanak Devji by no means was a Yogi, in fact he conversed with the Yogis that there lifestyle would not lead to God, read Sidh Gosht. He was a spiritual, mystic who taught truthful/honest living. Yoga is a form of exercise has no connection with Sikhism. Anyone can practice kundalini or any yoga form, but do not associate it with Sikhism! Yogi Bhajan distorted the truth for his own gain! He is not accepted in the general Sikh community, so he chose to manipulate and deceive Non born Sikh people...

    • @machinemonkey8795
      @machinemonkey8795 3 роки тому

      Exactly, this is nothing but appproration of yogic-dharmic principles by this Sikh individual and not to mention the persistent sly attempts at throwing shade against greater dharmic faiths

    I think it's important to explain what it is and what it is not. for example it won't teach you how to garden as far as i know or how to golf or whatever. yea i understand it could help you improve those endeavors, but anyway.

    kundalini is interesting... though i've heard/read it shouldnt really be done until you're prepared - like not until you've already been meditating and doing asanas for a while. also that the guidance of a guru is almost mandatory. ... any accuracy to this?

    • @wahoo4uva
      @wahoo4uva 4 роки тому

      m lynn No, none of that is accurate. Anyone can begin practicing Kundalini at any time whether they’ve already been meditating or not and a guru is neither needed nor mandatory.

    Now I am very confused. I recently joined a Kundalini Yoga class. I've had about four classes so far. Now I'm also hearing terms like Sat Nam. And we seem to be praying or chanting to Gurus or Saints. Do you really believe that some people have more Infinite Light in them than other people? Why do you worship people? I am afraid I have joined a cult. And now from my research, it seems that this is all really just the Sikh religion. Are you formally affiliated with the Sikhs? Please answer my questions. I am very concerned. I very much enjoy my Kundalini Yoga class, but I don't want to be praying to any human beings. It's like a big secret. There are these pictures of two men, but no one ever talks about them. Who are they? What made them more special than you or me? Are we praying to them in Kundalini Yoga? Are you secretly trying to sell the Sikh religion to the American public? Thank you for your answers. You are welcome to respond to me privately.

    • @AshtonColby
      @AshtonColby 5 років тому +1

      Laurence Galian It’s much deeper than that. There is no worship of people. Sat Nam means something like “truth is your name” basically like you as you are need nothing more to be free. The light is within you. Kundalini yoga is not at all a cult. Do some research. The people most likely at the front of your class in the picture frames are Yogi Bujan who brought kundalini to the west and that’s just out of respect. We are not worshiping him. We are worshiping Love, God, the creator. We are tapping into the “golden chain” of teachers before us who have found peace in this practice but we don’t worship them.

    • @swallowsometruth9550
      @swallowsometruth9550 5 років тому

      Laurence Galian Its sad that in 4yrs U haven't gotten a reply....I read it and though its 4yrs I'll still say this-never pray, chant, worship, none but The Creator and sustainer of all in existence. Never studied yoga but done it by lead of my soul and have experienced alot. Chant-what Ur God is U seek; ie peace etc. Stay true to whom gave U life in all. Take the driving skill, but go Ur route.

    Beleive you think you are correct, and most of information is suitable for your understanding, but please dont beyond your knowkedge, yoga came west in early 50's not sure exactly what year, and most eastern
    yoga does not require celibacy, nor hermit like actions.only the masters that chose this direction.
    Again your knowlege is respected..but everytime youtube gets a new yogi, shik, etc..the truth gets
    lost in ego's.....Lao tzu " those who talk do not know, those who know do know do not talk"
