The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu received H.M. Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, the King of Cambodia at Rashtrapati Bhavan today (May 30, 2023). The President also hosted a banquet in his honour.
Welcoming King Sihamoni on his first visit to India, the President said that his visit demonstrates the importance that Cambodia attaches to its ties with India. She said that India and Cambodia share a rich and vibrant relationship. We value our shared history, and consider Cambodia as our civilizational sister country.
The President noted that there is great potential for further growth in trade and investment between India and Cambodia. She said that India is keen to further elevate its defence relations with Cambodia. She also emphasised on the need to make efforts to increase tourism and people-to-people contacts for further elevating bilateral relations between the two countries.
The President said that India in its presidency of G-20 has been spearheading the interest of developing countries of the Global South. She appreciated the participation of Prime Minister Hun Sen in the inaugural session of the Voice of Global South Summit in February this year. She congratulated Cambodia for successfully completing the Chairmanship of ASEAN last year.
Subsequently, in her banquet speech, the President said that India is privileged to partner Cambodia on its quest for nation building through capacity building, development of human resources, and providing assistance for socio-economic projects. She said that India is a believer in the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, which means The World Is One Family. She added that the multifaceted ties between India and Cambodia, and the august presence of His Majesty at Rashtrapati Bhavan with us today, are beautiful expressions of this age-old concept.

The visiting Cambodia's king reads, "....As a matter of fact, the historical bond between Cambodia and India took root since the ancient past and this deeply rooted connection reflects the shared heritage including religions, culture, and written script between the peoples of the two nations. Angkor Wat and other ancient historical ruins reflect this closely connected bond between the two nations...."

Our Hon: P.M. Sree Narendra Modi is the real and courragious ruler as an enlighted Sun. Because, he know that whole philosophies in the world is originated from India. Expecting this question for IAS : Is Charvaka Philosophy started before Vedas and Upanishades ?=Kannan. The Lokayata School : Charvaka is also known as Lokayata. The Lokayata school is an ancient Indian School of Materialism.Charvaka argued and proclaimed that the direct perception, empiricism, and conditional inference as proper sources of knowledge is needed. Also, he said that the proper sources of knowledge embraces philosophical skepticism and rejects ritualism and supernaturalism.Charvaka Philosophy is an ancient Hindu philosophy included in Orthodox Samkhya Yoga Nyaya Vaisheshika Mimamsa Vedanta. He is an Atheist.Charvaka philosophy was a famous materialistic belief system in ancient India. The founder of Charvaka or Lokayata philosophy is traditionally referred to a philosopher named Brihaspati. But some scholars dispute it. During the Hindu reformation period in the first millennium BCE, the Charvaka philosophy was well documented and opposed by Buddhism and Jainism. At that time , Buddhism was established by Gauthama Buddha and Jainism was re-organised by Parshvanatha. Charvaka's primary literature, the Barhaspatya sutras, were lost due to its decreasing popularity. From shastras, sutras, Indian epic poetry, the dialogues of Gautama Buddha and from Jain literature, the Charvaka's teachings have been collected. The Charvaka tradition's text was written by the skeptic philosopher Jayarasi Bhatta. It is known as the Tattvopaplava-simha. From this text Tattvopaplava-simha, we get the information about the Lokayata school. In Indian Philosophy, the Charvaka school is known as Nastika or "heterodox" schools of Indian philosophical literature. The etymology of Charvaka is derived from the root carv, 'to chew'. Unadi Sutra is Hemachandra's own grammatical work. It indicates the philosophy's hedonistic precepts of "eat, drink, and be merry".Another Scholars assumed that the Brahaspathi's student Charvaka was the establisher of the Lokayata School. Debiprasad Chattopadhyaya said that the traditional name of Charvaka is Lokayata. The dictionary meaning of Lokayata is aiming at the world, worldly".In Chanakya's Arthashastra,it refers to three Anviksikis. They are Yoga, Samkhya and Lokayata. Whatever may be , Lokayata in the Arthashastra is not anti-Vedic.But it is a part of Vedic lore. It refers to the science of debate. Rudolf Franke translated Lokayata in German. In German Language he calls Lokayata a "logisch beweisende Naturerklärung". The Buddhist Sanskrit work Divyavadana in ca. 200-350 CE, mentions Lokayata as the subjects of study and the sense of "technical logical science." But, Shantarakshita and Adi Shankara use the word that the Lokayata’s meaning is Materialism. In the oldest Jain Agama Prakrt literature, he used four terms for Charvaka. They are (1) Barhaspatya (2) Lokayata (3) Bhutavadin and (4) Vamamargin. Before Rigveda, Charvaka philosophy existed.Because, The tenets of the Charvaka atheistic doctrines can be found in the later composed layers of the Rigveda. The substantial discussions on the Charvaka is found in post-Vedic literature. Note or Conclusion : In, Sanskrit Lokayata or Charvaka is known as “Worldly Ones”. And it is a philosophical Indian school of materialists. Charvaka rejected the notion of an afterworld, karma, liberation (moksha), the authority of the sacred scriptures, the Vedas, and the immortality of the self. It is an ancient school of Indian materialist systems. They were often called “Lokayata,”. The meaning of it is “that which is found among people in general.” Charvaka argues and follows direct perception, empiricism, and conditional inference as proper sources of knowledge. And it embraces philosophical skepticism and rejects ritualism and supernaturalism. Brihaspati is traditionally known as the founder of Charvaka philosophy or Lokayata philosophy. But, another Scholars assumed that the Brahaspathi's student Charvaka was the establisher of the Lokayata School. The Lokayata did not believe in karma, rebirth or an afterlife. Charvaka or Lokayata believed that there was nothing wrong with sensual pleasure. He argued that it is impossible to have pleasure without pain.Lokayata or Charvaka thought that wisdom lay in enjoying pleasure and avoiding pain as far as possible. The followers of Brihaspathy or Charvakas rejected many of the standard religious conceptions of Hindus, Buddhists, Jains and Ajivakas, afterlife, reincarnation, samsara, karma and religious rites. They Criticized the Vedas as well as Buddhist scriptures. The Charvakas inference could not be used to ascertain metaphysical truths. The primary literature of Charvaka is the Brihaspati Sutra. It is missing now.Its theories and development has been collected from historic secondary literature. They found in the shastras such as the Arthashastra, sutras and the epics or the Mahabharata and Ramayana of Hinduism, in the dialogues of Gautama Buddha and Jain literature. In the oldest of the Upanishads, in chapter 2 of the Brhadaranyaka Upanishad ca. 700 BCE Yajnavalkya states in a passage . He says that, after death there is no awareness."
