Go back and watch the extras for Lazy's videos, they're just as good as the main videos and even better in the case of the Demoman video (especially as Lazy overlooked a whole subclass for Demo in the main video)
13:55 The Dead Ringer, is another invisibility watch that could be equipped, at the cost of no longer turning invisible on demand, but on hit you drop a fake body and turn invisible and gain the perks with a shorter invisibility timer, with an obviously timely cooldown. Though this is the nerfed version, in its hay day it gave spies a noteworthy amount of damage reduction, and a shorter cooldown, from what I remember.
I loved abusing the OP weapons back in the day. The old prenerf funslinger : pomson and gunslinger. The old pocket boy: baby face's blaster and pretty boy's pocket pistol. And I can confirm, the old Dead Ringer was an op mess, made spy almost unkillable. It still gives you a hefty damage reduction, but it decays over time. The REAL nerf to the Dead Ringer was removing the ability to replenish it with ammo. That way it can't be spammed.
@@iminumst7827 there's the spyper too where the old ambi doesn't have a damage fallout or something like the damage is 102 on headshot from a mile away
You may think these videos will prepare you for TF2, but nothing can prepare you for the beautiful utter chaos that is TF2 gameplay. There's really no hidden MMR too, so you may play against people with thousands of hours (like me). Luckily TF2 has many funny moments even when your team is being stomped into the dirt. Excited to see you guys play for the first time. Additional Pyro tips: Airblast can also extinguish a teammate is on fire, and clearing them of fire will heal you a bit. Pyros can not be set on fire, so if you are fighting another Pyro as Pyro switch to your shotgun. People hate Pyro's crowd control and ease of use, and you are most likely to receive hate by randos if you play Pyro.
Totally agree. I enjoy Lazy's content but I did think it was funny when they said they had to watch all these Lazy videos before they could actually play. Its like why? These are "how it feels to play" not "how to play" videos. These videos are not playing guides they just describe feelings. I could understand if they were watching an uncle dane how to play engineer video or something. At the end of the 'how it feels to play engineer' reaction the guys were still wondering how many buildings an engineer can build. Lazy didnt talk about teleporters or dispensers or their importance. I doubt the guys even know about leveling up buildings or the metal system. I am excited to actually see them play as well. Thats the only way to really know how it feels to play tf2:)
I dont think you guys should get too hung up on deciding on what one class you are going to play. One of the best parts of tf2 is you can choose and switch throughout. You arent stuck playing just one class the entire round. If I play for an hour most times I will play 4 or 5 different classes during that time. All players, especially new players should try and play all classes. Cant wait to see some game play:)
Please don't skip the Extras videos, They are very important and full of information related to other classes playstyles, weapons, and subclasses, among other things. (Currently, you've skipped two: How it Feels to Suffer in SFM, and How it Feels to play Sniper Extras)
Just something to note, airblast doesn't have its own ammo pool. The flamethrower has 200 ammo, and the airblast uses 20 of that, so while it looks powerful it can screw you if you're spamming it and not making sure to collect more ammo. You also obviously can't airblast and fire at the same time. Also he's making it look way easier to airblast than it actually is. Kinda like getting headshots with Sniper - some people can just nail it, but it's a skill that'll take time to master. Or you can be like me and just eternally suck.
[random nerd time] doing a successful air blast also gives bonus damage to the projectile you just reflect, so if you manage to "reflect" and "hit" the enemy with it, it's totally worth it. even if you fail to "hit" the enemy with your reflect, you can at least stop those projectiles from harming your teammates so it still makes value. also, the deadlinger is a variation of spy's kit, you can get this by crafting, trading or just get it from a random drop(the game just gives you a random weapon if you keep playing the game). the way it works is unlike other watches it can't keep you invisible while active, but if you're holding the watch when you get hit by any damage it reduces a slight % of the damage you took and make you invisible, but the real kicker is it leaves a fake dead body at the spot and gives you a speed boost so that you can run away. because of the damage reduction and being a literal get outta jail free card people hate to fight against the dead ringer spy. you can semi counter it by looking at the UI. at the middle top, there is a UI that shows what character you and your teammates are running including the enemy team, and when a person dies the character portrait turns grey and returns to normal when the person respawns. But for the dead ringer spy it turns grey when the watch triggers but returns to normal as soon as the spy decloaks so by using this you can tell whether you actually killed the spy or the spy got away with a dead ringer and lurking around(deadringer declock timer is shorter than the respawn timer) if you use the UI correctly it makes so much value. also when you respawn you can see your teammates what they're doing by seeing the outline of your teammates for a split seconds(around...4 seconds if I remember correctly) but if you see a random teammate 's outline pops out of no where outside spawn there's a 90% chance that is a spy. memorize what class the spy is disguised as and focus or tell your teammates. this makes so much value finally after watching the "how it feels"series and possibly a "playing tf2 for the first time" video is out can you guys watch the extras of lazypurple? you can already tell by the video the quality is top-notched,even the extras are super golden and I think you guys can give more credit to Lazy's wonderful work by doing that
All I can tell you is that TF2 is a wonderful, chaotic house of fun. TF2 rounds can take between 30 seconds and 30 hours and anything in between. Most rounds are around 20 minutes, though! It really is this chaotic too, you need to keep a mindset of 8 second intervals because that is how often firefights will last. If you're over 8 seconds in a fight, run, either you or the enemy are about to die to the most batshit chaos you can think of, just guess the class you're gonna see on your way out. Essentially either a teammate or an enemy are likely on their way and you've stayed too long. Got backup? Cool, you get another 8 seconds. Got uber? It lasts 8 seconds, fight without worry. When that's up count 8 more and run if you're not winning.
5:32 “the shittiest sight to see, is that a pyro seems to be,Flying through the air” Dumb weapon idea: 4ss-bl4st3r(thrower is cobbled together from a dead ass blaster graboid) Defense pyro flamethrower, instead of fire to kill, it produces a force field like the medic’s in mvm, but it’s smaller and takes ammo plus it does burn damage, plus faster and wider air blast, maybe less ammo for balance?
I love Playing pyro my favourite flamethrower I would say is dragons fury, or the degreaser Dragons fury for the damage Degreaser paired with the flare gun.
yall should watch some scp stuff. Its a bit difficult to find good scp videos on here but there are some like scp explained (especially their series on scp 5000) also their game containment breach is pretty cool if you dont mind playing a horror game. Alternatively the actual website itself is usually a fun read even though some articles tend to drag on and its pretty hard to turn reading a wiki into high quality reaction content.
When I first saw his video, it so compelled me to want to main Pyro too XD. Unfortunately, I don't have the system for it.😥😥 "I LOVE protecting my MEDIC!!!:
OMG! You guys NEED to watch murder drones! its another UA-cam animated series, and I'd say its more comparable to Helluva boss than anything else you've reacted to on the channel.
Go back and watch the extras for Lazy's videos, they're just as good as the main videos and even better in the case of the Demoman video (especially as Lazy overlooked a whole subclass for Demo in the main video)
agreed!
Yes PLEASE do this.
+1
I agree
I personally like the extra one for Pyro more than the Pyro video.
PLease Make sure to watch the extras to this series. They are so good and teach you more about the game that he does not cover in the main videos.

It also allowed you to survive a full 8 stacked sticky bombs and live with 50hp back in the day
Bruh, old dead ringer had such high damage reduction a Spy could body block a kritz'd Heavy for a solid few seconds and waste the enemy uber.
🤓
I will definitely recommend the Extras. It’s basically How It Feels Part 2

4:40 I guess they had not seen KND either ....welp another series to the suggestions
I haven't seen, but I got the reference because of Black Hat Organization Villain Orientation Video, last episode before Q&A.
BTW, Villainous also may be suggested.
One of the great thing about airblast once you get good at it you can even reflect the sniper’s arrows.
It’s a lot of chaotic fun.
Watch the Extras!!!
As a Pyro main I can confirm that this video is extremely accurate.

Many hate pyro, but Pybro (helping your engineer by protecting his buildings) is great.....unless you're playing spy.
If I'm not mistaken, in the TF2 comics, Engi and Pyro are buddies/roomates (at one point) so going Pybro is quite lore accurate.
You haven't watched the behind the scenes of lazy purple aww man.
Please don't skip the Extras videos, They are very important and full of information related to other classes playstyles, weapons, and subclasses, among other things. (Currently, you've skipped two: How it Feels to Suffer in SFM, and How it Feels to play Sniper Extras)
One of Lazy's best videos yet!
I will contribute to the "please watch the extras videos"
I didn't play tf 2 for couple of years, but after watching these videos with you i really want to play it again.
Ohh man... no extras :(
It's nuts how powerful airblast is
This was literally the one I was mostly waiting for I hope y’all adore spreading hell in tf2 ❤
please please please watch all the extra videos. the whole playlist PLEASE

The guy on the bottom looks so uncomfortable by pyro lol
5:31
He jumped over the rocket
You need to play Pyro Dodgeball, you only reflect rockets. It's fun and stressful
Watch the extras, they are equally important and entertaining.
The oogh sound effect really brings me back.
Love how when he is going over what the soldier has it’s like kid next do scanning
Watching the Extras are worth it! Especially Demoman Extras~Demoknight xP
Demo: GO TO HELL
Pyro: I AM HELL
Pyro also has an air blast so he can deflect projectiles 1:41
Not trying to be rude, but is the guy on the bottom right okay? He seems like he really doesn't want to be here while the rest of you are having fun.
17:51 he was lost basically, lol
If setting it on fire doesn't solve your problem, you're not using enough fire.
I never even know the airblast was a thing, may have to go back to playing pyro
You have to watch the extras for demoman ,if you respect demoknight playstyle.
I recommend after the how it feels to play series for you guys to watch doctor lalve's tf2 guides.
You guys are great!

11:46 as a wise man once said...
SPY HAS A GUN!
If you compression blast pipes or rockets, they automatically become critical hits.
You missed the extras video for sniper. It's really important alongside the main video.
You guys should totally watch Piemations meet the amazing team, greatest TF2 parody ever
11:39
