I honestly don’t know if I can bring myself to watch another game. Not because I’m a fair weather fan but because I genuinely feel so let down and angry that idk if I can watch another game
Rashad Amos needs some carry’s or or he will be our starting running back in 2 weeks bc of injuries. We need a bruiser running back to at least pop the defense in the mouth. Running parish every time is not gunna work. It’s crazy that they only use Matt jones and parish
I really think Coach Kiffin should tune into this show every week and take some pointers, Steve makes excellent points, why tf r we not using every weapon we have, they keep this up with Tre and he's gonna get hurt and then we'll really be in trouble.
UK has a solid defense. Don’t forget UK was missing their stud defensive back, replaced by Freshman .Maybe Ole Miss were attempting to take advantage of that! Just a thought!
I think Ole Miss has gotten away from just moving the chains. They appear to always want to sling the ball down the field even in short yardage situations. When a defense is getting pressure on you every play maybe you get your TE involved.
Sure the offense is to blame for the loss, but the defense is ruining big defensive stops with penalties. It seemed like everytime the defense made a big stop, Kentucky was given another chance because our defense can’t stop getting penalties.
If you look at the calls they threw on us and the ones they didn’t throw on them, it was clear the calls were unbalanced. The hand fighting was at a normal level. Shouldn’t have been calls. The push off on the final KY score was an outrageous no call.
@@Mharris73 I think you are looking at the calls through blue and red glasses. They were mugging KY receivers. They should have been called for more penalties than they were. It tells me they are undisciplined and technically unsound. That is bad coverage all the way around. If I were Kiffin I would be up to my knee in the secondary coaches ass. The measure of s great secondary is the ability to disrupt without committing costly penalties. They did the oopossite. They forced the referees to call several costly penalties. I coached db's and wide receivers. MS secondary is bad, very bad.
Just like I thought our weak points are the secondary and OL. And that’s not a good mixture. When your offense is supposed to be explosive. If you can’t be explosive bc you don’t have time to run deeper routes and you give the chance to have explosive plays on the back end of your defense.
I’ll be surprised if Kiffen changes anything because he’s a narcissist and narcissist don’t change!!!!! He’ll always think he’s the greatest coach on earth!!!!!! NOT!!!!!!!!
I've been saying this the whole time. They got playmakers at XYZ and TE and yet he keeps going to Harris for short yardage all day.. played right into Kentucky's hands. Another thing is, forget Bentley give Rashad Amos more touches they need a powerback to run behind the average OL we got. Guys like Parrish & bentley are good backs to throw in but you need a powerback as a feature in the SEC. Secondary is gonna be an issue the rest of the way.
Dart was locked on one receiver. We ran the ball four times in the first half and every pass was to Harris, bombs away. Not hard to shut that down. Lazy game plan. I will never understand how kiffin is proclaimed as a offense genius.
I agree with everything about the offense but there's no way the defensive backs didn't lose this game. Sure, the offensive game plan sucked. It's possible that can be fixed. The next game will tell. But...This defensive secondary problem has been an issue for weeks and nothing has been done about it.
I don't think the D lost the game, but I agree the secondary problem is serious. It looks like coaching to me. The corners simply play too soft on the edges. Even knowing that KY wasn't going to beat them deep, they never adjusted. And Lane should never have excused the penalties by saying "we play violent, there will be penalties." He basically gave them permission.
@@jakemitchell1671 I agree the defense, as a whole, did not. That's why I pointed to the secondary as the defensive problem. The D-line and linebackers are doing great. If they're not taking instructions on correcting things maybe they need to have some bench time. Hell, at this point, I'm not so sure anyone on staff is trying to stop it.
That’s where play calling is supposed to adjust. Stop throwing the deep ball and use the best TE in the country. Short crossing routes with other receivers. Tua used to eat teams lunches with crossing routes at Alabama.
Yep, th Kentucky D-line is legit and was dominating the O-line. In game adjustments should have been made to get the ball out of his hands quicker for sure.
According to the fact that I saw them open, especially Prieskorn, with my own two eyes 👀. We have an future Sunday TE and he was pretty much not used. When you are getting pressured up front, you pop the quick passes. Crossing routes.
Dart needs to own up and admit he missed some BIG plays! Don’t be a punk Jaxson, be the man that you are who overcame some difficult obstacles. Hitting receivers in stride is what seperates the good from the great. Low scoring football is a thing of the past. Only Iowa could manage the defenses of the past SEC games, and they didn’t even play top teams. Big games require 30+ to win consistently, and even then, it’s a tough match.
Ole Miss coaches need to stop saying that penalties will happen when you play aggressively. Aggressiveness can't make up for what the penalties are doing to them. Also, they need to stop the fake injuries. Fans will support teams they respect. Those fake injuries are making it hard to respect Ole Miss now. It makes it look like they think the only way they can win is by cheating.
This team is just not as good as last year's team that trounced Penn State in the Peach Bowl. The heart of that team was Quinshon Judkins and then when he shocked everyone and left, it was rebranded as Jaxson Dart's team. But it ain't apparently. It COULD be his team with better play calling and a running game to help him. Any running game. Any at all. And it boggles my mind that Prieskorn is not being used.
