The unsung hero for Kentucky was Deone Walker again. Every sack of Dart that Walker didn't personally get was at least caused by him having two offensive linemen trying to block him, which meant someone else was unblocked to the QB. Same thing happened against Georgia.
If you are willing to read, a summarized version of what Kiffin said last Monday (He indeed warned many people): “Very excited about this matchup, it’s gonna be very challenging, those guys took Georgia to the wire, ran for over 200 yards” “They have really good length and size on defense, so they’re able to play well against Georgia at home, not so much at Georgia; they very much look like an NFL defense from a structure, size, & coverage standpoint and techniques; it’s why a lot of people struggle against them and games seem a lot like NFL games, it’s hard to make yards or run the ball.” “at least 1 front 7 guy on an SEC team will be really talented, unique high draft pick; for example this inside guy (Deone Walker) is a problem, 6’7, 330 lbs, and he can rush, so he would be an example of SEC type of problem players in the front” Stoops did what he did because he got backlash for the decisions in the Georgia game and it paid off in the Ole Miss game. he has the best win of the career and the worst loss in his career in the same season
@@graychumney7734 That had more to due with the implosion of UK's offense not sustaining drives or turning the ball over in their own half of the field.
@@xHBTDxyou didn’t think they would’ve gotten that 4th down waaay in Ole Miss territory either. I rather you actually try to win then give the ball back to a top team with 2:30 minutes left. the game was over
@GoatedAtNFS IF UK had gotten a defensive stop against Georgia (which they had been doing all game) with the full complement of TOs to use and their kicker, they had a shot... a better shot than going against the Bulldog's D with their very limited offensive choices. It was the right coaching call in both situations. I can admit that a downfield throw for a 60-plus-yard reception was not in my notebook. In amazement, it just happened to work in Oxford. Desperate times call for desperate measures, I guess. In football at that level, you can make the right call, and it often still doesn't work. You can throw up a prayer, and it gets answered. But wishcasting from 20-20 hindsight is not a game plan.
Kentucky is not a great team (see their blowout loss to South Carolina) but their defense is tough at times (see Georgia game). That combined with the worst play calling I've seen at Ole Miss literally since Cutcliffe was head coach, equals a devastating loss. There are just no positives for Ole Miss.
if the pass before to dingle wouldn't have been tipped, kentucky would have still gained major yardage before 4th down..with that said, kentucky got lucky on the fumble that turned into a touchdown
The last three games Kentucky’s defense has looked like a dominant SEC D. When two of those games you hold Georgia and Mississippi to almost nothing. Was that South Carolina game a fluke or just a portal hiccup? I mean Mississippi scored in just a few plays at the beginning of the game and pretty much scored 10 points the rest of the way. And one of those scores was on fourth down with a long pass td. UK was close to holding them to 3point after the first drive.
I think it's hilarious how cock kiffin and his qb were coming out into the game. And then they get whooped! Lol. Reminds me of Colorado. Kiffen is over rated!
It seems like all the talking heads forgot Lane Kiffin coaches at Ole Miss. If you had remembered you woukdnt have had them as a top 5 team to begin with.

I drafted him in my madden franchise he’s a beast lol
Kiffin said that he avoided the middle of UKs defense like the plague. Still didn't help 😂
He's a standout.....hard to miss.

Oh, give it up already. That 4th down call was a very different set of circumstances than in Oxford.

UK was out 4 DL and 2 LB for that USC game, then lost starting LT in first half...
South Carolina loss mens nothing at this point if we ran it back UK is winning
Change your name to CORNYm8358
A truly impressive win by Kentucky after a humiliating loss to South Carolina a couple of weeks prior......
You barely talked about Kentucky
Yeah whatever happened to his rule, we talk about the winners first???? guess he talks about winners when it’s not the underdog.

South Carolinas defensive coordinator should be licking his chops right now after watching that ole miss offense
You straight up have to run the football. That’s what they made their bones on last season 11-2
Ole Miss caught Ky napping. Only one game, Ole Miss will be ok

It’s nice to see you again. I haven’t seen you since Kentucky started losing last year. I only come on here when we win.
I'm starting to think Kentucky is just that good.

South Carolina fans losing their minds right now.
Hoping that SC takes some notes and can upset Ole Miss as well! Although it seems less likely now because of this game
Kentucky is the only team Ole Miss has played so far. And they lost.
I think Kentucky should be more on the radar after what they did to Georgia
Lane sounded like he wanted to
Cry in his presser.
Another loss plays in Florida favor
This one was felt personal 😂😂 3:41
Ole Miss pass defense has been an ass all year why this is a surprise
KENTUCKY HELL YEAH
Kentucky beat #1 LSU in 2008 I believe
Stoops wasn't the coach at that time.
People forget UK had only played a half of live football before Carolina came in…maybe it was a fluke, just sayin
25 point wins on the road after you beat them twice before isn’t a fluke keep trying to feel better about that L😂
