Fun fact: i come from this snowy land and still suck But seriously why do canada have such good players i don’t understand. Hera, slam, chris, mentalist top 4. But you can add guys like survivalist, silverstar, tigger, ra, obadiah, lucas, barney
Was watching T90's cast but it was hard to keep track of the games because he was telling too many stories, kept speeding though dark age and it made it really hard to follow what's happening, especially with players constantly switching colors between games. Coming to your cast was such an improvement. Even though this was 4v4, it felt like we were able to follow nearly everything perfectly. You managed to consistently introduce every player well in each game and show all important moments without missing the action. This can't be said enough, being able to cast 4v4 without it feeling chaotic is an absolutely incredible feat. It's also a joy to watch the passionate cast rooting for national team. You remained fair to both teams, to all players, complimenting every good play but the love for your country was tangible and increased the enjoyment of the cast. Nations Cup is awesome.
I love this channel and T90. I played thse games when i was a kid and had no idea that the comp scene exploded like it did. Dave was one of the channels that showed me that this game is still running hard af, i love watching these games
You know why I love Dave's casting? This guy is so open and honest with his casts it makes a guy really feel at home. Love this man being a part of the scene.
MVP this tournament has to be Mentalist, this guy came back and played at the highest level and straight up carried sets. Good work from Slam too in the Chinese set
The more i learn about this game, the more I realize, your commentary is legendary. You can watch 8 people play while im over here just trying to focus on myself lmao
@@rickychardzz Not securing their rear area was a big mess up that opened the door for Rubenstock. And I suspect there was complacency when they broke the middle and didn't realize how little damage they actually did.
More than a year later, back to relive this series. I still think this is one of the greatest team game series' of all time, and maybe THE greatest 4v4 series of all time. But that's probably just Canadian bias talking, I don't know. Either way it's my favorite series ever!
AoE2 4v4 casting is busy. Loads off stuff on the screen that demands attention Thank you for not making it worse, cleanest 4v4 setup out there imo Personally cannot watch t90s content as the screen is to full/busy This really helps, thank you.
In their prime definitely, i remember mentalist going twice in semis loosing to mr.yo. To say today they are top 20 is pretty bold, but they definitely have the skills to achieve it, i just believe they lack the time and determination to get back on top
@@segers97 don’t worry brotha!! Chris, mentalist, slam are in my top 5 players of all time !!! It’s still safe to say, since 2016, chris is back and off the game. And so isn’t number 1 or far from it. On the other side, at the moment, mentalist is back in tournaments and was 2475 elo this week. So is he back to top 20 ???
Fantastic back and forth final. Both Finland and Canada played well, although Canada had superior tactics and players, games. Dave's casting was great too. gg wp!
I feel like in game 3 rubenstock should have one for kamayuks, and villese should have gone for something other than skirmishers. I think hand cannons would probably have worked way better, or even cav archers, or just go double paladin. Skirms were basically useless imo.
I think there should be 2 commentators, because the casting was totally biased towards Canada. I mean even when Canada is losing he is showing the strong sides of Canadian players
Ruben won the Chaos Pit game for Finland and he did sloppy on Team Islands and Arena for me; Migration is civ win for slam; Malay way better on "early" water than Incas.
Rubenstock is a great team player and you must never watch Finland team games to think that Ruben has single handed taken control of team games with his play style, Rubenstock has an epic game where he tc dropped Finland to victory completely wrecking the opposing team and they knew it was coming and had no chance to stop it. I takes skill to play like that why do you think Lyx is on team China he can do the same messy play style.
@Watchman Rubenstock has a role to play. His job is not to carry. He is to be unleashed in the opponent's base. He already proved his usefulness in finals in 2v2 and 4v4.
Nope, Hera has just been better recently. See Nilli's video where most pros ranked Hera higher. Hera has really stepped up his game and Viper seems to be a bit off due to health issues.
Nice set. I dont watch or play arena much but finland's flanks kinda dissappointed there. I get villese since he was vs. a fast imp but it still was kinda meh... like he didnt have any plan vs the fast imp whihc is the most common turk strat. Dunno what the aztec player was doing either, it was just kinda weird. They did too many fast imps and not enough castle pressure.
Moral of the story: if you wanna get good at aoe2 move to a cold and snowy country where you don’t see the sun for months at a time

Man, biased casting is so nice and refreshing! Actually love it!
Epic series!! Both teams played amazing; loved the last two matches on team island & arena! Sick cast Dave!
Chaos pit was a great game! Never seen anything like that retreat
How did canada loose that game ?? It’s pretty amazing what valas and rubbenstock did to hold

I always come for the most biased casting ever! Go Canada Go!!!!
What a series! Two amazing teams giving amazing performances. And great casting, Dave. First time I found your solo work!
Check out Dave's series of Earth Maps... they are some of the best Commie games I've seen! Absolutely brilliant.
First I was kind of disappointed for the abscence of Tristan but duuude having you casting solo is awesome! Thanks for the content, and ggs as well!
Hockey, lacross, and AoE2, LETS GO BOYS! After watching this W, I stood up and belted out Oh Canada! Time to go get some tims!
Sssssspoliers lol, but I figured Canada had it early on haha
I love the guy who thought Dave should be unbiased, he must live under a rock to think that would happen.
This video was a blast - lots of action packed matches
As a Canadian I am immensely proud of our team.
Me to buddy
Hera is a d bag tho
Oh canadaaaaa 🇨🇦
Our home and native gaaaaame 🇨🇦

Hey Dave, like it when you a T90 cast together...should've watched this series with you 10 days ago when it came across my feed.
Dave is pretty active on the map compared to other casters.
Love you dave❤️
Dave is a Canadian but he has taken an oath to make unbiased casting
I swiched my internet to the Canadian VPN server to feel it even more biased
Thanks Dave :D
It's so weird hearind Dave cast without hearing Tristan all the time too. But I think I could get used to this.

excellent team work by the winners in round 5
Honestly, I came here because your also hype on canada. Lets go!
Great Final! Both play it as teams !
That team island game was Patrick sitting down vs upside-down Idaho.
obviously Chris and Mental are top players too! and actually a lot of ppl dont know them, i think they are top 10-20 players

The turns have finally tabled
Insane games!
slam is such a beast
A month ago haters would have said the 13th seed wouldn't stand a chance against the 1rst seed
Naaa the seeding is shit like memb said. I knew with hera, slam, chris mentalist canada was top 4.
But to say they were favorites was dreaming
