hi, I have made a custom map, But it wont show up in the server. I Have make a recouce.lua and and put it in the stream folder. But it dont show on fivem. and i have put all correct. How can i fix that?
I am want to copy the police station in paleto bay and make a highway patrol station beside the prison and next the sattelite dishes. Can you tell me how to do that please ? Do you use the same principle as you have shown in codewalker video ?
In terms of buildings, you would have to take into account LODs and such, I had a discussion in regards to this with someone. My goal was to replace an entire building, although possible would take a lot of work and would require third party programs such as 3DSMax etc
When you save it you are likely not saving it to where CodeWalker loads its files from. CodeWalker loads the original GTA files and for the change to be visible from in game and on CodeWalker restarts it would need to be saved and overwritten in the original GTA files.
@@BeamMPModTeam Gotcha yea figured that out, only thing now im abit concerned about is a prop I placed appears to have no collision and is invisible when I stream it. lol
@@UnboundGodz So is the prop actually there then? Collisions typically seem to be bound to the prop and if your making a ymap then the collisions follow with it. Can you confirm for me?
To do things like this assuming they are not props? you will need to extract the map model from the game and then edit it in the likes of 3Ds Max. If it is a prop that you are looking to edit then you will also need 3ds Max.
Is there any place that we can find floors and walls for codewalker. Not having any luck at all. Currently using( prop_huge_display_02 ) For my floors but for my walls I don't want to use that. Anyone have any suggestions, I would appreciate it.
Hi there, as far as i am aware there is no specific props in the game that do this or are used for this. Your best option is to create / find a mod for gta v that has props that you want in it and then load them into CodeWalker. The buildings that exist in the game at present are actually parts of the map its self. Sorry it probably wasn't what you were looking for but I hope this points you in the right direction.
@@BeamMPModTeam I think Map editor has some walls and flooring available but haven't been able to get that going on my Pc either. Its all a learning process for me. Thanks for trying to help though. Still learned alot from your video.

Yes of course it is. The same principle can be applied. If you select the object you can then use the project manager I think it was to see the ymap it's in then save that edited ymap else where and load it as a resource or mod accordingly. I can't give much more at the moment due to being on mobile. If you need some more help let me know.
@@BeamMPModTeam So this is what I did: Open Code Walker. Create a new project and new ymap under that project. I select objects and delete it via "DEL" key on keyboard. Then I save file as how this video shows after 4:45 However at 5:01 when I click "Calculate Extents" program gives a error, I don't remember what was written on it and I am also on mobile. Then I close Code Walker, restart it and open my project and/or ymap on Code Waker but it doesn't show my edited map but default FiveM map. I asked a friend to open ymap on a server and waiting his reply.

Hey, so to duplicate interiors you will need to manually edit/create a .ytyp file. This is the file responsible for loading in interiors or other things that the ymaps do not handle.
@@sh8d524 I do not know the name however you can find it when you open the project manager it often says the current file your selecting an item from in a directory/file tree setup.

(Hi i have a major problem , lets say i edit a Interior replacing a Monitor screen. from a white one too a Black IAA Monitor. Right, Then i do File Save project as Test B1 . and save it . Then i shut down the Editor Codewalker. And when i go back my changes are reverted and i cannot repeat cannot see any changes. its like if it goes back in fabric mode i load Test B1 over and over and no change GTA V original. what do i do now ? ) Thats what i typed in a forum today but no one knows what i did wrong. Do u have Discord by any chanse?
@@indochineng8055 You should be able to load them in as a normal DLC resource as you would have to do for any addon cars or anything like that. I do not have experience in making dlc_packs for GTA V. But there are some tutorials on how to do it: gtaforums.com/topic/794835-pocv-creating-a-dlc-pack-and-adding-a-new-weapon/ i know that is for a weapon but should help to get the basics going for you. just save your ymap as normal and then make your dlc_pack and drop it into your mods folder.
Hey there! Been wanting to know how to remove certain items (construction materials, racks, gates and even a small wall) with the codewalker? Also I'm not looking for fivem or other servers purpose but just for solo gaming purpose. I'm looking everywhere for a solution and haven't been successful yet :( To get a better idea about my doubts I put all those images in the 20 second video so it's easier to understand :- ua-cam.com/video/agHXQX-fhdg/v-deo.html I watched this tutorial & with that i was able to move all those props/items below the map so they are somewhat not present on the map. But the problem is with the saving of it. I can't seem to save and get it to work in the game... Any solutions or suggestions will be greatly appreciated! 🙏
Typically selecting entity's using the method shown in the video works. Sometimes it is necessary to move other items out the way first to get to it and other times it is part of a larger element unfortunately.

Correct, This would be a mammoth task all be it possible. Maybe you could mass select in that area some how and then copy?

Why might it vanish after saving the entities and project? Is that suppose to occur as it does for you at the end of the video to.

right click on fence and press DEL on your keyboard

What if i only want to remove entities. Ive tried but nothing changes when i load the Ymap in fivem.
Your Ymap will need to be the exact same name as the original ymap for the game so that FiveM loads and replaces the original.
