My two cents: the chocolate Mauna Loa uses is low-tier. They rely on being a nationally-known name in the mainland US to sell their product, mostly to tourists. Hawaiian Host, on the other hand, uses a much better grade of chocolate in their mac nut candies.
The best potato chips in the world, IMO, are Maui Kitch'n Cook'd.
I would also recommend trying coconut syrup. H'omg, it's some good stuff. So are Wow Wee candy bars.
If you ever make it here to Hawaii, other things to try would be poi mochi (usually sold at street fairs/events like that,) and straight up poi accompanying a plate lunch of kalua pig and/or lau lau. Saimin looks like ramen at first glance, but it's much tastier. I like to put a lot of pepper on mine. (black pepper, that is.)
The best shave ice stand on Maui IMO is Peace Love Shave Ice in the Azeka shopping center in Kihei, on the makai side of the road.

Really enjoyed the video!A lot of people who are introduced to the crack seed candies (the majority having li hing mui) they find it too salty or odd tasting and can't handle it. But most Hawaiians love this stuff!
