Your videos are amazing, between all the GBL youtubers I feel like I learn the most watching you, you go so in depth it's a golden resource for people trying to learn. Keep it up :)
15:00 seeing you face the "improved" version of your most popular team and have them concede the match was hilarious lol One simply can't KPine THE KPine himself Extremely excited to try this new team out! It seems extremely solid and quite powerful (+ I finally have all the mons necessary to not have to make weird adjustments lol)
Thanks for the video. I'm already climbing and almost at 2500 in a couple days. If you can make a part 2 with more leads, I would definitely be here for it! Thanks again
Good video. I found chargabug to be the corebreaker I needed for the past week. Magnezone loses to the ape, but picks this matchup and the waters. Mantine backlines always fell flat for me, and I’ve been stuck at 2600 for nearly three weeks. I ran my chargabug team last set today and went 3-2 so I’ll give this variation a shot.
Stumble upon this team in your channel. Is this team still safe in the current meta? Considering there are new Pokémon’s / moves such as typhlosion and goodra. By the way, great channel and looking forward to seeing your videos on OGL when the current summer cup is over.
Ran this team but charjabug lead since at around 23-2400 was seeing a lot of water leads Finally hit veteran this season with this team after I got more comfortable with the team. I did have lanturn instead of charjabug at first, but just as you said, cress would have a field day with the team Thanks for sharing this team
I just hit legend with a very similar team, swapping Charjabug for Whiscash in the back. Just built my Shadow Gligar and it is impressive. These are really impressive games, well done.
Nice team. Been trying it out and it works really well for me. But I'm not quite in agreement with how you play against whiscash lead, since most of the time they have skarmory in the back and you can't win lead anyway, I prefer to save my shields for ape or charj depending on the situation. Since S-Gligar can tank 1 scald comfortably, normally I would just cmp tie them to an aerial ace, immediately swap into the ape, and adapt to how they respond. You could also tank the scald first then reach for dig with S-Gligar, but I consider this risky when you opt to no shield it because the opponent might choose to swap immediately. That's a very healthy whiscash to deal with later in the back, and I prefer doing the agro-swapping with Ape instead of responding to my opponent doing it.
I do agree that tanking the first scald and going for the dig is very risky. In regards to playing to the cmp tie with the aerial ace, while it sounds like a nice plan, I'm a bit hesitant to switch lock an annihilape into a whiscash that has the opportunity to apply a permanent attack debuff to the ape. If they don't get the attack debuff, then I would agree with you, but if they do get the attack debuff, you're now in a pretty tough position.
@@KPine indeed, that's pretty tough if they do get the debuff. But I just don't think investing one shield into a gligar that won't win still against the whiscash and don't stand a chance in the back if they have skarmory is my ideal gameplan either. But hey, nice team and nice content as always.
It is a high rank and the shadow is preferred as it’s a massive upgrade from the regular. The regular is “good enough” but you’ll def notice a difference in regards to the shadow
Awesome video there. Super educational and helpful. I am looking forward to joining your Discord server to learn even more with fellow trainers to improve. New sub 👍🏼
Safe swap into the annihilape. If they over farm and let you throw the night slash first, do it so you can reset the 1 turn it takes to switch. If they throw first, shield their move and it’s your choice to either bait with the night slash or full send the shadow ball
I don't know why you felt the need to be rude or hate. Never before have I claimed I was "good" at the game because I know there are people out there who are significantly better than I am. My channel is based around providing my viewers with a team that works, how to play that team, and gain individual matchup knowledge with the hope that they could learn key points and improve at the game we all love. And no, your claim that anyone can win games with top meta is just strictly not true otherwise everyone would be in the same spot as each other. Please take a step back, think, and keep the hate to yourself next time. I hope you have a great rest of your day

The team very well can still work. Typhlosion won't be much of a problem for it but Goodra with an energy advantage could be so be careful about that!
Great stuff Kpine. You really break it down so that I FEEL that I learn to be a better player... Golden advice all through the video. Thanks!
I appreciate it and am glad you enjoy these videos :) Them being used as a point of learning is the goal!

Glad you’ve found success with a variation of it!
really love your breakdowns, helps me really understand how to play a team i dont know...thanks =)
Glad you enjoy them!
Great content as always @KPine. Would regular Gligar work or do we need the added damage?
Thank you! While you can use the regular, it would be a noticeable downgrade
Did you ever notice the mantine wasn’t running ice beam at 14:35??
Yep! They undercharged a water pulse to try and get an energy lead on their ape :)
I just hit legend with a very similar team, swapping Charjabug for Whiscash in the back. Just built my Shadow Gligar and it is impressive.

Thank you! Shadow gligar and whiscash are two very busted pokemon for sure

Is your Gligar a decent rank? And do you run the Shadow for a particular reason or is a regular Gligar good enough?
It is a high rank and the shadow is preferred as it’s a massive upgrade from the regular. The regular is “good enough” but you’ll def notice a difference in regards to the shadow
@@KPine are there defence/HP points you know about for the Shadow? I don't have a great one and I wanna know if it's worth building or not
@@Grumpy-Drum You just want a high stat product shadow gligar. There’s no specific iv set :)
congrats on legend. i been struggling so i will try this team and hope i can reach it too. thanks kpine.
Thanks and best of luck with the team!
sweet gameplay & info TY!
Glad you enjoy it!
Great explanations as always! Keep up the awesome work! 🔥💛
Thank you for the support! 🙏
your dnair skarm lanturn still dominates, I fear this team won't be able to replace it! GG for your legend!
Thanks!
These videos are amazing.
Thank you!

YOOOO you’re the person who was at 2999 I remember seeing that and laughing haha. GG’s not much I could do there lol
Ggs! Thx for the 3-2 😂
Perfect teaching video. Thanks for sharing.
Appreciate it!
Can i change Gligar for mantine
Nice Team! How will you play against skarmory Lead?
Swap into your annihilape
A lot of my friends r also saying about sgli currently i dont have it is non shadow usable?
Non shadow gligar is useable but will be a downgrade. The one matchup is does help out against would be a shadow whiscash
Good content as always KPine28.
Thank you MountnDewgong 🫡
I was running the same team but with a poliwraith but after switching to charjabug i have finally passed 2250 elo
Best of luck on the climb :)
I'd join the discord. Thanks for the vids, I always learn something new from them.
Appreciate the support!
Great stuff man as always, congrats on legend. "Handleable".. maybe you meant manageable 😅
Oh and btw.... discord server?! Yes please!
Thank you! And yeah that’s the word 😂 server soon 👀
I keep hovering between 2000-2200 with s. A9 lead, lanturn ss, and Cres close. I’ll give this a try 👍
Hope the team serves you well!
Good video, but this team seems like it takes a good learning curve to get it to work well
It’s not too hard to get used to, more just consistency in play. But most teams are like that when they don’t rely on just getting alignment :)
@@KPine I’ll try it out a couple times… I keep thinking that volt switch is a 3 turn move and that kills me
What happens when you lead into S feraligatr
Safe swap into the annihilape. If they over farm and let you throw the night slash first, do it so you can reset the 1 turn it takes to switch. If they throw first, shield their move and it’s your choice to either bait with the night slash or full send the shadow ball
Every single legend team relies on shadow Gligar and I don't have it 😢
Regular gligar is a suitable replacement. While it is a downgrade, it’s polarizing matchup still stay very positive for it!
I battled someone who was running Night slash / ICE punch Annihilape today 🤨 I was absolutely appalled.
Non-nuke ape is definitely a choice lol
What a boring team sorry had to say it
The meta is pretty condensed and limited right now unfortunately 😅 hoping a good mix up comes soon. Thanks for the feedback though!
You have brain damage sorry had to say it
Yawn. 10 other youtubers are running the same team 😴
Sry you think that
Put up your team. Let’s see how it does.
@papafreshhhh You're missing the point. Any smooth brain can win games running the top meta, it doesn't make you good.
