@@danlopez418 If you have a single moved shadow I’d still go with that as the mud-slap damage is the most important, but the normal can’t hurt to try

I feel like the regular isn't going to take anymore hits than the shadow, but it definitely is going to lose out on dmg output.

@@chrin84 The team is rooted in mud-slap damage so single moved shadow as well. Basically the only thing that may not shield a move is azu and you have the drill run for that so it works perfectly. The one mon that gets tougher is a Whimsicott however

@KPine the problem there is clodsire, drapion has a small chance but a good player who switches correctly will kill all 3 mons with just clod

@@ottopantoja3837 You want an ape with at least a 124.34 atk as well as a minimum of around 104 def. This will allow you to hit the rank 1 clod break point while maintaining the toxapex bulk point

Unfortunately the old ape slayer has too little defense that it drops the bulk point against toxapex. With that said, you want one with high attack and high defense but low hp giving it a nice sweet spot

Shadow Drapion is hard to replace but could be worth a shot with shadow Gatr

Both are very viable options. I just prefer to use a recording app for reliability, processing times, and organization

I don't have much experience with shadow annihilape but I'd say it's worth a shot especially before rage fist gets nerfed!

I do! You'll still play out the 1 shield scenario against a clodsire, but instead of winning it, you'll now soft lose it which allows you to get farm on the drapion. Opposing ape leads will be tough if they win the CAP tie, so if you have one that has a chance of winning the CAP tie I'd recommend that :)

I have two ape's. A 14/14/2 and a 2/14/15. Ape has a really high base hp stat of the bat.

The ape's aren't getting nerfed! I was going to say that was too quick.

@@timu0927 and I am *so* glad. Was originally a 5 energy nerf so would change ape’s pacing from 6-6-6-6 to 7-7-6-7 which would make it way too slow. But Niantic has removed the Rage Fist nerf from the blog post so hopefully that holds at least for another season!
