Hips and shoulders should not be parallel...hips should be facing more at home before your shoulders rotate....hip shoulder separation is so important
Lost me at "push off the rubber"
Basics fine but some details wrong. You should land your stride with you hips squared to home plate, shoulders squared to 3rd (1st for a lefty) - or as close to that as you can given your flexibility.
