If the guy doesn't have his 4-ways on, wait your turn. A little patience, like humility, goes a long way, and I've found that doing the more considerate thing never costs me anything I've planned to do so, if anyone wants to argue with results, good luck. Time to change your paradigm.

That exit ramp maneuver the Western Express driver pulled has become an regular occurrence out here. Not by big trucks but 4 wheelers do that everyday.
Had that happen to me. I got halfway past a driver driving distracted digging in his snack bucket before he decided to speed up to my speed and block me. I was stuck there for 20 miles before he got off. There was too much traffic backed up behind him for me to slow down to get back over.
I look forward to big time truck drivers every making mistakes every day. I have been a local driver in chicago for 33 years. 6:54. Could be the reefer driver was backing into a spot while the flatbed was swinging into the island. Or reefer was backing because someone is blocking the island in front. A few scenarios.

Keep hearing rumors that us xpress is wanting to change there name to variant and get rid of the us xpress name altogether due to CSA scores but if they keep hiring drivers like the one in this clip how’s that gonna help them any
They got their feelings all butt hurt because everyone was calling them “Useless Express.” Changing the name on the door doesn’t change what’s behind the wheel.
Also, get a nice set of walk-in talkies. I got a cobra set from Walmart on sale for $40 reg $80. Don’t rely on hand signals or a cell phone. The trainee doesn’t talk on the radio, they just listen to your guidance.
I get so mad on the two lane Interstates when truckers insist on playing Daytona speedway driving side my side....typically takes 25 miles for them to stop screwing up traffic.

None of those boneheads at Varriant has a C.B. which is just stupid in my book, because the can be considered safety equipment, I have had other drivers holler out at me for things I can not see, like my License plate holder on the trailer was dangling.. I pulled over used my Vice grips as a temporary fix, but got me through the scales, etc.. there is lots of reasons to have one, closed freeways due to an accident, construction.. weather alerts, etc..
I drive for Variant...and I have a CB in my truck. Yes we pull US Express trailers. We're basically a side company of US Express....we have the same DOT number. Just look at our doors...it will say Operated by US EXPRESS
@@richardnear4160 well your a first, everytime I try to let one know hey you can over, or an issue with the trailer it seems like they just don't have a C.B. or never listen to them, like I mentioned in my post the are Safety device, and honestly every driver should have one. The way I have mine set up is if you ain't close I don't hear you so keeps the junk stuff from blasting through, but works great if there is an accident or the Freeway is closed etc..

Two trucks side by side for miles is sheer ego with a side of dumb. My personal rules of passing: generally, I won't attempt a pass unless the right lane truck is doing at least 7 mph slower than my truck's maximum. On the other hand, if there's an uphill coming up, then I will simply accept the slower speed unless the hill slows him down more than me. Revisit the pass only after the uphill is done with. Once left lane traffic allows me to commit to the pass, then I have one mile to pull it off. If the other driver decides to act like a knucklehead and speed up while I'm passing(which is actually against the law!), then I won't wait the mile to back out, or I'll be stuck longer than that. There would be my ticket onto BHTOTW! Sorry, Ike, I love your channel, but not enough to wanna be on it!!😄😄

These CDL schools are just concerned about pumping out students to get the next batch in. Each student pays 2500 to 4000 for school. I’ve seen Africans in my class who passed when they spoke little to no English and could not shift gears. One guy was hitting a bottle of vodka on our smoke breaks and he passed. It’s scary stuff for sure. But that’s America. The only concern is money.

Sometimes a chrome fifth wheel puller like Buster Brown has is great.Release air bags Squat.Check that airlines and light cord arent caught in anything. Drop trailer. Turn on headlights. Turn on Four Way flashers look for unsafety vest people. Pull Out maintain 10 to 11 MPH Go around re hook to trailer at front after looking for people Sound horn. Reattach all items. Pin Pull Test.Time for a break. Calm down Regroup. Drink a water Enjoy life Please people.

Fuel island accident...truck was backing up and skateboard was in blind spot. Skateboard tried to backup to get out but was too late. Got crunched. Van was trying to backup to go to another pump most likely
In California back about 40 years ago the state got the bright idea that cars could go 70 and trucks 55 so us bonehead truckers would set this up - you pass me - no I pass you at 55 up on I-5 from Castaic to Yreka, especially on holiday weekends.

Back in the day we had entertainment tonight shows with Johnny Carson. Now for the 21st century we have today’s shows with Bonehead Truckers where we can🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣at dumb stuff that goes on. Two weeks ago we were in my pick’um up truck going down the Interstate cruse control set at 75, came upon two truckers going neck to neck up hill about a mile long backup, neither one would give up. Ok from what I could see of the pickup at the 5:27 ish mark, the pickup came across all the lanes at the last second to turn left and cut in front of a truck that was in the left turn lane already.

I worked for safelite years ago. Lady showed up absolutely hammered drunk. Fell out of the truck. I unhooked a airline and called the police and DOT.

In California back about 40 years ago the state got the bright idea that cars could go 70 and trucks 55 so us bonehead truckers would set this up - you pass me - no I pass you at 55 up on I-5 from Castaic to Yreka, especially on holiday weekends.

Two weeks ago we were in my pick’um up truck going down the Interstate cruse control set at 75, came upon two truckers going neck to neck up hill about a mile long backup, neither one would give up. Slowing down a mere five mph for less than a minute would get this guy around and back in line. So easy and keeps the highway safe. Ok from what I could see of the pickup at the 5:27 ish mark, the pickup came across all the lanes at the last second to turn left and cut in front of a truck that was in the left turn lane already.
