This is my favorite of the film, mainly because of my obsession with dinosaurs when I was a kid, and Buck is my favorite character. Also, Rudy was originally supposed to be a Spinosaurus, but because of Jurassic Park 3, they took off the fin (making him a Baryonyx), but kept the size.
I honestly enjoyed the fifth film. If you look past the horrible plot which also makes no sense you get some really cool animations, plus Sid’s grandma always makes me chuckle. You should definitely watch it!
Not to mention, the fifth film has Buck! He's just such a phenomenal character. And there's so much depth to him: he's not just funny and zany but he's also warm and loving (as we see with the pumpkin, Bronwyn). I think the whole scientific aspect of the fifth film is very interesting as well. And I agree that Granny is frigging hilarious, whereas in the fourth film, she could be quite insufferable.
Hey JV. Fun fact, the reason Diego got tired after chasing that deer is the same reason that the Sabertooth Cats went extinct. It’s a matter of over specialization. They were built to hunt big prey animals and are natural sprinters.
12:25 A lot of dinosaurs were exaggerated in size, prime examples being Mama Dino and Rudy. Mama is a T-rex, which were 4-6 meters tall at the hips, and mammoths were also around 4 meters tall, so Mama at most would only be 2 meters taller than Manny, if not the same height. The filmmakers actually stated that Mama is twice the size of a real T-rex. Rudy is a Baryonyx, a relative of Spinosaurus which was long thought to be bigger than the Rex. But here's the funny kicker: *Baryonyx was only 2.5 meters tall* , smaller than both a T-rex and a Mammoth! Suddenly he doesn't look at all threatening. But we really can't judge these depictions, obviously. It's a fun animated movie and still one of my personal favourites
just a small correction, a trex size would be around 4 to a max of at least 4,5 meters tall at the head. So a trex and a mamoth would be pretty close on size

Speaking of dinosaur movies, have you seen Disney's Dinosaur (2000) from the Post-Renaissance Era of Walt Disney Animation Studios before, JV? I know it's underrated animated movie, but it's not that bad or boring movie, but to be honest, I say it's one of the good movies, and it's got live-action background and CGI animation styles for realistic dinosaurs, and the amazing music scores are the masterpiece, and I really love this movie.
@@Suirioujin Um, Disney & Pixar's The Good Dinosaur (2015) is part of Pixar Animation Studios, and I was just talking about Disney's Dinosaur (2000). And besides, JV already reacted The Good Dinosaur in his video.
"abandon all hope ye who enter here" is from Dante's inferno, it was said to be written above the gate to hell. the theory that the t-rex's vision was based on movement is now considered to be wrong, that was from jurassic park. i had always thought that manny had lost his parents to the hunters in the first movie, not a wife and child, i never got that impression at all. although, i was a kid when i saw the movie in theaters, so what do i know?
1 its the Cenozoic era and 2 some dinosaurs still live today like the alligators and crocs plus some others and it is thought to have been some areas that became safe havens for dinos to have been able to live past the extinction but eventually they would have either died or evolved into a new creature

Which is ashame cause I would want him to be a Spinosaurus from Jurassic Park 3)
Life's full of seasons. Childhood friends, then high school, then college if a person goes there (or the military), then havin a family, etc. We relish every stage, and love the folks around us, in each season. Some friends are forever, but not many. And it's okay. Just part of the progression of our lives.
I definitely think you should react to the last 2 movies. Despite the plot getting more confusing as the time went on, it’s still nice to see the characters interact with each other and the growing up of Peaches.
In my head this was the last Ice age movie. None of the others exist 🤣 this was the peak of the franchise and nobody can convince me otherwise, but you could totally watch them if you want man you may end up liking them 🤷🏻♀️ This is the first time I've ever been first 😎
From his UA-cam community tab post on the 4th one, the thumbnail and title gives away that he really likes it! So he may end up liking the 5th one too. I personally like them all, even the 5th because of its stunning animation and the song (even some parts of the plot) but I do recognize the plot is absurd 😂
Honestly aside from plots that aren't really structurally stable the 4th and 5th ones talk about family bonding so I think they're decent for you to watch
Most carnivore dinosaurs had good or incredible eyesight, there's not a single one that couldn't see a static target. And as i far as I know, the dinosaur in the movie isn't any specific dinosaur, it's made up.
This one is my favorite, but there’s one thing that bothers me in this, Ellie’s pregnancy and the way she’s giving birth to Peaches. If everyone’s reading this, please read it. I’ve been ignored about it, and I’m tired of it. It all started since I was 5 when I was introduced to pregnancy. My mother’s ex, who’s my friend growing up, has a wife who is pregnant with their first kid. I didn’t know what that meant, but I was shocked. Every kid thinks a female swallowed a baby vore-wise, but not really. They just happen not magically. Before this, I watched Revenge of the Sith, I was probably introduced to pregnancy before 2 years later. Then months later, my friends wife gave birth to a female. I didn’t see the birth or go to it or just as it happened, but I know it’s painful. A year from now, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs has been announced. I looked at the synopsis for it. I read it, when it said ‘Manny and Ellie welcome the birth of their mini-mammoth’, I didn’t know what ‘mini’ or ‘birth’ means. I didn’t ask anyone or looked it up. When I watched Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs for the first time, I was excited because Ellie is my favorite. When she is revealed to be pregnant by pointing her trunk at her baby bump, I was dead inside. I know what birth and pregnancies look like, thanks to my friend. When Ellie got into labor, that time came. Her groaning and hyperventilating sounded like she’s having sex. I was traumatized by that. I do not know which part of the body is going through her small vagina just for her to be in labor that long, like 11 minutes. I’m not kidding, she was in labor for 11 minutes. I don’t know why she was making those sounds. She was supposed to be screaming. Not groaning. That’s just unnatural. And I thought she was going to give birth to Roshan, the baby from the first movie, but it turned out to be a mammoth, like them. I went to see the movie the second time, which is in 3D. When we got to the entry to the Plates of Woe, I got out of the theater and hid in the bathroom for as long as I can, but my father was with me and expected me not to waste any time away from that scene. I’ve been followed. I got out and watch it all. October came and I bought the movie. My parents watched it so many times. Every time we got to the entry to the Plates of Woe, I sneakily went to the bathroom not to watch that whole birth scene. We didn’t watch this movie a lot, so my parents suddenly stopped. I never watched this movie ever again. Years later, I was taught about sex and how babies come into play, and that’s when I knew right then. Babies are made by a male’s sperm into a woman’s vagina. So, in September 2007, Manny had sex with Ellie, creating Peaches. A mammoth’s pregnancy lasts 22 months, almost 2 years. Years later again up to present day past this movie’s 10th anniversary. I’m still traumatized by that infamous, controversial scene. I was thinking of editing the scene out, because it’s now on Disney+, I want them to because it’s a kids movie. Or I was thinking of making an Unrated Cut for the film with a warning screen before the film starts where there are additional shots of Ellie giving birth to Peaches, with the camera in the back of the small cave she laid at for some reason showing her ass with her pushing Peaches out of her vagina revealing how she got out with her parts of her body shown first before the rest, whether it is a breech, her back, or head first. Then blood or water will be added, because Peaches came out clean. She will be covered in blood when she gets out. I know this sounds traumatizing, but I just want to show the world how I see the birth in my head. And that’s my history of the birth scene in this movie.
I'd rather you watch 4 and 5 regardless of a common/toxic audiences opinions (i feel like 1 person alone influences a lot into the same opinion without thinking), i personally enjoyed them, so i say go for em
Ice Age 4 is worth your time. 100%. I honestly don't understand why people think it's lesser. The animation is gorgeous and the plot is fun and inventive. Unpopular opinion: I personally think the third movie is boring, and that's coming from someone who adores dinosaurs. Buck is great and all, but I don't feel like that makes the whole movie better, and for me sometimes his comedic moments go on for to long. If I were to sit down to watch the ice age films, I would skip the third one, because it feels more like a chore to watch than an experience. There are good parts, don't get me wrong, like the parts with Sid and the Dinosaurs' mother. But a lot of it I could do without. I think the third movie would have been more fun/impactful if it were about Ellie and Manny bonding more and becoming a unit as a couple. I love Diego, but he feels under utilized here. The plot could have been Manny and Ellie going after Sid, Diego not noticing they were gone until they had already disappeared into the underground and having to catch up by tracking them (Showing up in time to help against the raptors), meanwhile Sid is doing the same thing he's already doing, co parenting the dino babies. Crash and Eddie could have been with Diego maybe, to give Ellie and Manny some space for the film.
The 4th film is definitely worth a reaction but the 5th not so much in my opinion. You should still also watch it but one can’t compare it to the four others
I’m not gonna lie I really want an ice age 3 Dawn of the Dinosaurs to be the end of the whole Ice Age series because it’s the best one of all the movies until those two movies have to come out and ruin everything

Interestingly Diego did not have heart problems smildons(Diego's species) were specialized ambush predators that can't run for long distances.

Simon Pegg really sold his performance as Buck the Weasel. Seriously my favorite _Ice Age_ character.

Ice Age 4 is good. It's a great way to end the Ice Age story.
Not manys wife and kid died in the past but his parents
I was the first to like and I love this movie
AAAAAA MY FAV
Please watch 4 and 5.
How dare you put Frozen up when you talk about “bad movies” 😂 Jeeez
I loved the 4th movie. But I've never watched the 5th.
Ultra nice! 🙂
Sir, you have acquired the wrong movie thumbnail.
Anybody else notice that the thumbnail is the wrong movie cover?🤣
32:13 🥰
You should do the 4th one, I don't care for the 5th one
React to Scooby Doo meets courage the cowardly dog movie next please 🥺🥺🥺❤️❤️❤️ Eustace has a rap song in it and I want you to see it
The 4th film is definitely worth a reaction but the 5th not so much in my opinion. You should still also watch it but one can’t compare it to the four others
Reaction the animated movie Epic... An underrated gem
I’m not gonna lie I really want an ice age 3 Dawn of the Dinosaurs to be the end of the whole Ice Age series because it’s the best one of all the movies until those two movies have to come out and ruin everything
Have you even seen ice age 4 ?
