When you hook up your trailer, cross the chains so if the tongue falls off, it will get cradled and not scrape on the pavement. I also noticed a little trouble getting the tongue holder thing to latch down. Put a pin in that hole or a master lock to prevent that from coming off. (Chains are last resort) Thanks for the video, and be safe on the road and with your trailer!
Appreciate the suggestion and I do need a lock or pin for the latch! However if you look closely the chains were crossed. I always have them crossed and leave them like that when I set the hooks on the tongue when not in use. This way I don't have to cross them every time. If that make sense lol
Wow, someone else does the tarp thing. So when I was new to leaf cleanups I kinda worked out the same system you're using in this vid, the tarp method, almost exactly like you're doing, including turning the edges of the tarp inward to keep the leaves from falling out and dragging it out to the truck. You're trailer is much easier to load though! I was side loading it into the back of my truck bed lifting it up and over, dumping it and then climbing in the truck bed when it was full and rolling around on the tarp to smash down the leaves. Now I use a basic plastic trash can, rake into tall piles, turn the can on its side and push it into the huge pile, using my hand to scoop as much as I can deep into the can, then scooping as much as I can against the top, turning the can back up and pushing it into the can (unless its super wet leaves then I go a bit easier on how much in the can each go). If the customer doesn't mind though, now I just mulch the leaves from big piles into the lawn until the pieces are super tiny (Honda HRX with the dual blades), saves lots of energy that's for sure if they don't need it bagged, though I've heard that mulching a ton of leaves can mess with soil PH. Really loving your enthusiasm and maturity as you learn your business, and enjoyed seeing you chatting with your customer for a few minutes in there too, seeing you working hard is encouraging me to refresh my view of my own work. Thanks and keep truckin'.

Cool to see the dump technique worked. We sometimes just drop the gate on the utility trailer and drag tarps up into it, stacking them on top of each other. Then when we get to the dump we just pull them out one by one.
well looks at it as seen under the leaves beautiful grass and cleanly, I love autumn, the best time spent in the garden, I have to fertilize the lawn once more before winter
The 8010 is freaking amazing for blowing leaves. Especially with all the rain and snow we have had. No problem for it at all. The new truck is awesome. Loved riding in it.
You make it look so easy. Worked on my leaf clean up today. Took me a while. Side discharge on my time master to gather in the middle of the yard, then vacuumed them into a bag. Alot of work for a 62 year old but yard looks great!👵 thanks you for sharing
BRO! That blower is a beast! Hopefully I will have one soon ;). Those leaves were no match for that thing!! Great video man, you're killin' it over halfway to 8k subs!!
You'll be able to ask for one soon!😎🙌 And haha close to 8k, says the man with 18k!🤣🤦♂️ But you deserve it! You put wayy more effort into your channel this year than I have lol!
Cherish times like this man! Time flies and with your drive to actually work, you’ll be building your business so fast. I enjoy all your videos because I don’t know any guys your age that have your work ethic. Keep grinding. It’ll al pay off. Like I said, you’ll think back in the future and laugh at the fact you were tarping leaves at one point. Before you know it, you’ll be sucking them up or better yet have employees doing it. Keep up the hard work!
one of the best ways to do it. I will a lot of time do circle mowing so that it blows to the middle. Shreds it up so you can get more volume into your trailer. What are you charging? When you are getting this efficent make sure you are charging for your efficiency. After I got the 8010 I had yards that took me 3 hours now down to 1 hour. I charge hourly and now Im at $125 a hour which includes the dump fee.
Not bad man! I think I big jobs to workout to be $55+/hr. Same as when I mow. I don't really care what type of work I do as long as my estimate works out to be at least $55/hr. Some days is $500. Others is 1 grand. Just depends on the estimate and amount of hours I work :)
Appreciate it! New truck video probably won't be up for a couple of weeks yet 🤪 I still have a wright video to upload as well as the biggest landscape tearout I've done yet!😎👊
Great video Wyatt. We had trick or treat on Wednesday up here on the ny-penn border instead of Thursday night also because of the rain storm. The Susquehanna river raised 10’ here on Thursday night.crazy amount of rain. You’re the hardest working young man I know.that’s something to be proud of these days. I hope that the truck you bought is a ford super duty. Keep up the hard work
Odd question. Have you thought of bringing the timemaster along and mulching the leaves then bagging them? I think that would help get you more on the trailer and have the leaves be smaller. Just a thought but that 8010 is insane.
I did that last year. Decided to switch it up to see how it went. I found that it didn't really save any time. But it did make the leaves smaller so that's a plus. That being said, if the load was that heavy, it's probably break my diy unloader 🤣🤦♂️
Wonder if a brush cutting blade on a strimmer would reduce the size of the leaf pile Wyatt... I like my minor Eliet shredder. I named her Mary. Everything I can cut with the loppers is mulch.
I have the pb 8010 works great only thing that is bad about it is its fuel hungry when u get big properties to run at full bore 20 30 minutes you're going to love it saves so much time
I absolutely love the thing! Haven't touched my 580T in almost a year haha! And I haven't had that fuel issue. For mowing I can get 2.5-3 weeks from a tank (60 lawns a week). And with leaf cleanups I get about 2-3 hours (ish) of full blast per tank
You just got another sub. You, Lawncare Juggernaut and CopperCreek Cuts are my three faves. Next you might want toinvest in one of the vacuum trailers.
Have watch a few of your videos man really helpful already learned a few stuff from you I have started my own company as well Like year and half ago Like you videos keep it up God bless

😂 man, i thought you had _real_ sad news. congrats on the new wheels. i'm gonna go peek at the new one. my 8010 is _loving_ the leaves; i think she cut down my cleanup time over the redmax 8500 in previous seasons 🤔 nice job on the leaf puller.
We try not to tarp and drag, we blow them into yard and suck them up with mower and bag. Much less volume to load in trailer. Nice job on the cleanups!!!
Wow great job , and you working alone , looks easy but I know is not , how long take you to clean each yard , and how much you charge for yards that size ? Here in Alabama I charge 100 to 150 just for leaves
It's going to be sad to see the Titan go. My final mow will be tommorow. Snow and sub-zero zero wind chills are already here! The season came to a real abrupt end for me.. but not to fear, I'm ready for 2020
Hi Wyatt thank you for another great video. You are a hard worker and do great work . I love the leaf removal system that you came up with, great thinking. Did you go to the GIE this year and if so did you make a video about it, How far out should a person make plans on going and is there a good place to stay that is not to far away from the center. Thank you again for doing a video and keep up the good work.

This was a really good video .. keep doing ur thing. That was a smart and great idea .. I need to use that lol.. u have to pick up the leaves and take them away by where u live huh? U got my sub
I did it (this) your way last year - it took a while for an acre property. I used the 8010 to get the leaves out of the shrub beds and a smaller 65cc blower (half the fuel use) for the other areas. This year I just used the 8010 for the shrub beds again but just blew everything in toward the main lawn area and then finished up with the tractor (with the 6 bushel attachment). Much easier on your body, faster, and the lawn looks like it was vacuumed (much cleaner) rather than blown. And of course the tractor mulches and compacts the leaves - less work, good for the compost pile and best of all, my back doesn't hurt half way through. Lol :-) Just a thought for the future. I used to do what you're doing now back in the 70's - 8-9 lawns and about 5 pools - had no competition - pretty much bought whatever I wanted ... those were the days.. pretty sweaty jobs though .. ha ha .. Keep going - Good job! :-
Just give them a quote with that included (you always want to do the best work). But if that quote is too high, take away trimming the plants and slightly lower it. This way you'll get the job either way
When you hook up your trailer, cross the chains so if the tongue falls off, it will get cradled and not scrape on the pavement. I also noticed a little trouble getting the tongue holder thing to latch down. Put a pin in that hole or a master lock to prevent that from coming off. How do people let you cut down all of their lilies and hastas? And how do you ask them if you can?
They are perennials. They come back every year. So cutting them is just removing the dead. It looks better and it's healthier
Just give them a quote with that included (you always want to do the best work). But if that quote is too high, take away trimming the plants and slightly lower it. This way you'll get the job either way
