Funny how people are saying this ending is better by defending everything other than the ending it self the story is good doesn't automatically mean the ending is. The ending is absolutely just an extremely toned down version of the anime
The anime made ultra instinct look anything but pure. Why is he going rage mode as Mui? That's like the total opposite of what Mui is. Now for anime only viewers they should see ultra instinct as a anger fueled form. The manga made Mui seem more angelic. As for the ending I didn't like the power of friendship and magic in the anime. Goku and freiza should not be a symbol of trust .. I'm glad they changed it to teamwork in the manga
@@WildFang39 Goku and Freezer weren't a symbol of trust, even if Jiren thought of it that way. It was a symbol of teamwork. A life or death situation. Either they work together or they died. That's exactly what Goku implied to Freezer. And the problem in the manga is that the scene was completely anticlimatic. There was no buildup at all and happened too fast. It was Jiren tossing Vegeta out, goku being almost tossed out, then freezer appears out of nowhere, blasts jiren and toss him out without almost a single word. The anime did the climax so much better no matter how you look at it, even if the rest of the arc was inferior in most ways

Ultra Instinct was much more powerful, more elusive, and much more hype and overall interesting. Honestly the manga was pretty ass up until Moro. Not that the anime was all the good either. I just discovered today that DBS is divided into anime-only and manga-only content that interprets Toriyama's given plotline individually. I mean now i understand why anime Super's artstyle and plot is so shit compared to the classic dragonball series.
Although the anime is more flashy and cooler looking, the anime did it all in a very corny way that made me lose interest in the arc. Flashy doesn't equal better. The manga did this arc better. Less time on corny characters that waste the viewers time like those knock off sailor moon girls, characters like kefla aren't soo powerful that UI is needed and instead having her be on level with gohan instead of goku channeling the power of plot, goku overall being a bit less corny than goku in the anime, and a far more realistic outcome where frieza and android 17 make a great plan to win the tournament. Frieza conserving his energy to trick jiren into leaving himself vulnerable by ramming into him in his golden form while 17 stays in the ring to win the tournament is far more interesting than goku and frieza bum rushing jiren while 17 just stands by spamming ki blasts. Ultra instinct is actually used in a better way in arc of the manga than in the anime. Instead of it being a cool transformation that proceeds to become the power of plot every time goku uses it like in the anime, its used properly in the manga. Well....until the moro arc. But that's a different issue on its own. Although the anime does make everything look cooler, it doesn't make it better. I definitely give props for the animation in the anime. Its definitely some of the best animation in modern day anime.
Terrible take but we're all subscribed to our own opinions. Anime ending is simply iconic to the franchise as a whole Edit: so is UI Goku vs kefla, even if Gohan is more fit for that battle
@@demonsdance9328what part about that take is terrible? Do you have any actual criticism or are you just mad because someone likes substance over flashiness?
I agree that the manga version of the arc is better but for different reasons, this arc is set up as a battle royale but how the anime played it; it was all universe vs universe 7. Krillin elimination works better in the manga because he is a warning to everyone that this isn’t a 1v1 scenario this is a battle royale where not being aware of your surroundings can get you taken out. The manga also reinforces something that people sadly take the wrong way, that goku lessons from other masters have never stick(heck Goku only trains instead of resting and playing which is Roshi first lesson). Roshi is there to reminds him of the fundamentals while Jiren is meant to be the ideal form of a martial artist. The big difference is that Jiren is meant to show a route that Goku is heading towards(example being the beginning end of z, just abandoning friends and family just to be the ideal martial artist)
This entire arc in the manga was a bumfest, I watched the anime first before ever reading the manga and when I finally did, the tournament of power in the manga is a complete bumfest, it’s a shit and boring arc with slightly better written characters compared to the anime, but the pacing is absolutely terrible, most side characters serve little to no significance to the development of this arc, its overall just terrible At least in the anime we got to see multiple perspectives and action from characters we haven’t seen in years, the pacing of the arc was also pretty good Kefla getting defeated by ultimate Gohan off all people is so anticlimactic, this whole thing was hot ass, luckily they redeemed super with the Moro and granolah arc, super woulda hit rock bottom if it didn’t
It's a battle royale with one hour time limit, obviously toyotaro can't focus on literally every single fighter, plus Jiren is actually a interesting antagonist, Gohan is a badass, kefla isn't annoying, Ultra Instinct's appearance were much better in terms of writing, not saying the anime's version is inferior, but saying this arc is just bad, is not true.
@@RealShrill that why you need to actually read the manga, Jiren only used enough power to match Roshi however Roshi mastery is above his after getting annoyed he used his regular power and one shot him, Roshi power level is still very weak as stated by one of the tropper literally saying he is ant like, you cant kill in the tournament for one and the other is you should not waste energy if you dont need to thats how Kefla became so weak that even Gohan beat her the reason was due to Kale already drained to almost 0% enough to be beaten by fodders. Jiren literally tells us that power you cant master is useless when Goku was trying to power up even further as he supposely needed more power before roshi told him what kind of nonsense you spouting did you learn that from Vegeta or Frieza. Master Roshi used a martial art technique similar to ultra isntinct in Wuxia is called the selfless or void state is when your mind is nulled of all information allowing for body to move as fast as possible because you arent thinking about useless stuff its inferior to ultra instinct which completely removes the brain link for dodging but still very strong in its own right. Vegeta in chapter 93 of the manga already gave us all we need to know, goku and Vegeta PL has been the same for a long time now the difference between them and Jiren is the Utilization of their own Power level, Saiyans have their power due to Transformation but in doing so but great burden and energy drain happens and more on their bodies meaning its impossible to use ki to their utmost limit, this was already a thing during the Tournament with Champa where using SSJB zapped Vegeta of all of his energy to the point his SSJB was 10x weaker than normal, Vegeta said he lacked something in comparison to Moro, Jiren and the others his power was not the issue the issue itself is that those guys all fight in base state meaning they can utilize their energy to 100% while Goku and Vegeta fight in a state where the body itself is put on severe burden and energy is multiplied.
This manga is so bad. This manga ruined my life. Why? Coz I know that Anime was far worse. I wish anime adaptation for this insane manga where Jiren and Vegeta are portrayed better. My life is now miserable because of this manga and now my only option is to be a Anime rider and bash the manga. 😭😭😭😂😂😂

black arc was x10 better than anime, and TOP overall was slightly better in the anime even tho had major flaws like infinite stamina and filler fights
This arc? Maybe, but the whole series until top? Sorry, but disagree, manga is more better
@@RagingBlazeBloodBaka I personally think the DBS manga is ass so I disagree. But it’s fine. It’s just a difference of opinion.
Idc what yall say the anime wins this one 🔥
I just discovered today that DBS is divided into anime-only and manga-only content that interprets Toriyama's given plotline individually. I mean now i understand why anime Super's artstyle and plot is so shit compared to the classic dragonball series.
Worse than that, the manga isnt much better since toyotaro is not that good at writing. Toryama chose him purely for his art, not his writing
Anime ending is simply iconic to the franchise as a whole
Edit: so is UI Goku vs kefla, even if Gohan is more fit for that battle
@demonsdance9328 I just ask what really makes the anime of this arc iconic? Besides the animation.
What a horrible opinion but you are entitled to it
@@demonsdance9328what part about that take is terrible?
Gyatt fhat was interesting.
This entire arc in the manga was a bumfest, I watched the anime first before ever reading the manga and when I finally did, the tournament of power in the manga is a complete bumfest, it’s a shit and boring arc with slightly better written characters compared to the anime, but the pacing is absolutely terrible, most side characters serve little to no significance to the development of this arc, its overall just terrible
At least in the anime we got to see multiple perspectives and action from characters we haven’t seen in years, the pacing of the arc was also pretty good
Kefla getting defeated by ultimate Gohan off all people is so anticlimactic, this whole thing was hot ass, luckily they redeemed super with the Moro and granolah arc, super woulda hit rock bottom if it didn’t
This make appreciate so much the anime.
This was so bad
This was much better
That wasn't interesting at all.
Better than the anime
@@ninjarld You can't be serious...

The manga’s version of the Tournament of Power was trash. Just like how their version of Super Hero was trash and their version of the Tournament of Destroyers (Universe 6 & 7)
Huh? The Superhero manga version improved on the movie. 😂
You Only know the word trash? That's just sad
The anime had a much better ending, I think the db anime is better than the manga anyway
Anime ended off tbf
Manga still ongoing
Anime way better especially how vegeta got eliminated
Yeah, it was lame, but at least he didn't get beaten up. 😂
Ay for all the things manga does better, I think this isn’t one of them…
This arc up until the TOP started, did a lot of things better, but quickly derailed. I only like how the female Saiyans were done and Gohan taking on Kefla, even though the fight was sidelined. Everything else was done worse.
So bad. Wow. It's actually insane
So Jiren is a weakling in the manga............go figure.
Well that was anticlimactic manga only scrubs really be hyping this trash up more than the anime? 😂
This arc is a gigantic bore for the most part. Anime version craps all over it
Don't like it
Anime was better
