Thanks man. I basically read the whole mercury 200hp 2 stroke manual multiple times. If the engine dies 30 miles offshore you better know how to start it back up! heh

@TINGLEMAN 69 I honestly don't have any too bad of stories. Saw a gaff go through someones foot once, lost my engine way offshore but got it working again, had a girl fall off my boat while running, cracked spine when my buddy fell off the dock getting into our boat and had to be airlifted. Nothing too too serious

Take a decongestant about 2 hours before you go out into the swells. This will keep your inner ear clear. That's where we get our balance. Also Ginger will help prevent sea sickness. If you do get sea sick, Halls Menthol cough drops will stop the sea sickness in 10 minutes.

ha just brought my boat down for my friend to help me fix.. 2 stroke ox66 v225 not getting fuel.... cheap fix.. but got stuck with my other half in port everglades 5 minutes into our trip.. we had ice bait time on meter (20 bucks) for ten hours... and all the gear and food and fizzled out in path of cruise ship. ha. thanks to bso for pulling us out in time. would love to get a 4 stroke. and yeah in laudy i go out to mooring buoys in 24 feet or less and kill hoos every time....

Heiko, if you save up and get you a meat grinder that plugs into your electric reel outlet you will save soooooo much money, just grind a barracuda when your fishing or get one for home and make your own blocks. I found it better to grind fresh barracuda and it makes a meat slick behind the boat with oil on the surface. You can find ice grinders for commercial use affordable used and have that at home and make a bag full of chum in seconds.
