Great video especially on how to play against aggro match ups (Mirai, Raging Bolt, Roaring moon etc) but kinda disagree with choice at 8:28 because in the event that your opponent finds Alolan egg KO on Drago with two energy, it would be extremely detrimental for two reasons: we are down one e-switch and we need to find one more e-switch and one more teal mask for attack, and gust would be irrelevant here since your opponent commits regidrago for KO. It might be much better to split the energy or even hold the e-switch so you won't be forced to legacy star to respond. Secondly, setting up the board in this way (mew, fez, ogerpon or even mew, squawk, pon) opens up the opportunity for double kyurem play. Usually one should not bench fezand pre-emptively, since fezand is a sitting duck until something is KO-ed, and when the opposing Drago gets a KO, benching fez does not matter because double kyurem becomes a non-option for your opponent. For these reasons, getting two teal mask is perfectly OK since you have some semblance of a functional engine and won't get punished from double kyurem.
@@Plasma-mon Hey bud, idk if you’re going to see this, but I did some research for you a found it if you still need it ptcgsim.online That’s the link, however you can only use it on a desktop as they are still working on a mobile version. Hope this helps you :)
Archaludon you basically wanna goodra on until you can take a multi prize turn, that makes them only hit for 140 instead of 220, an boss around their dialgas an keep them killed, for gardi you wanna get out jamming tower an establish your board with 2 dragos an not many 2 prize liability, instead of having Squakibilly + Mew maybe dude squak an cleffa, or mew an zard or cleffa, an force them to have gust to keep up with the 2 -2-2 prize race, also if applicable it doesn't hurt to boss up manaphy against gardi, cologne an kyurem. Knock out 2 ralts or 2 kirlia an manaphy. That way they need night stretchers an shit, jus make them need a card + a card + a card to get out of a bad situation u put em in
Really appreciated this video. I just wish i saw it sooner, as I just couldn't get going at a recent cup. I am assuming it is wiser to attack with Rad Zard playing against terapagos/klawf? Targeting the larger bench? Or use drago and rolling iron to protect and set up a multiple prize turn?

Hey there! Lugia matchup would also be interesting 😁
Thanks for the amazing guide!! One question: is it really better to go blind second if you would potentially whipe boards of evolution decks if you go first? Thank you! :)
Isn’t this impropper bench management? Going for fez, squawk and ogerpon in play before going down to 2 prizes means the opponent can just double kyurem twice. In this game they can t3 going 1st get their first actual attack of without vstar power. And if they do, they will just guarantee the win
in terms of the optimal board state its really bad to have 2 "support" pokemon in mirror if opp hasnt attacked yet becuase they can double kyurem. Same with the play of double goodra pult thats really good but if we are playing as if we always have gust then no doubt double kyurem is better
in the first scenario why do you need to gust up the ogrepon? the ragidrago now has 200 on it, so unless they goodra here you can kyurem onto mew, billy and drago
@@akaakaakaak5779 it prevents the Goodra play and I just need to find boss anyways to complete the 6 prize turn. Both situations are similar except I can make them burn an energy to move the ogerpon. Theres really 3-4 ways to win this game. I just chose this one. They could also have attacked with fresh Drago and move Drago to bench which was damaged and forced me to gust twice anyways.

*Ogerpon
Really informative, please continue more content like this Gabe ❤
This is dope, definitely would love to see more like this.
Very clear and useful, thank you Gabe
Double kyurem also a very viable option when they benched locked and give u the 3 2 prize mons

if there is part 2 , can you make matchup guide vs archaludon & gardevoir? I am having trouble winning against them with drago
@@duelisttaiga5938 seconded the guide for Archaludon, the match up is really hard for drago

14:36 what happened to the regidrago vstar??
It disappeared oops. The site is a little glitchy lol.
Excellent !!
And vs Bannett item lock what would be the best way to play?
Punch with teal mask early it breaks item lock
Since you didn't have goodra in the discard, couldn't gusting up the benched drago with no energies on it and using phantom dive be better?
It just gets evolved and you can’t dive ko it.
@@doctanaz in the sense you can’t ko it later with spread.
what website is this?
Garde matchup pls
Still waiting for the day that I announce Apex Dragon for Star Requiem.
