  • Hey 👋 Welcome
How are you, what you been upto over Easter?
I would like to share with you the result of decoupage on Jesmonite.
The tray I used was made prior to this process and left 24 hours. This would ensure all moisture has left the Jesmonite before glueing the paper on the surface.
As I love a super smooth finish, I could see brush marks in my work and there were creases. I did remove the super rough areas and added silver detail with my Deco pen.
I wanted to see if I could achieve a super smooth finish, I poured the Jesmonite directly onto the paper. I think this smooth finish would have been achieved it I did not tap and move the mould while the Jesmonite was curing. Lesson learnt and definitely worth another try.
    Products I used
Decoupage paper, glue and brush - Hobby Craft
    Jesmonite- Polysil Uk
Silver Pen - DECO - Amazon
    The mould - Amazon also.
    Thank you, 😊

Hey 👋🏼 I love the decopatch paper you used, and the Jesmonite colour for the second piece, I think the first one will maybe get easier with practice, it would destroy my anxiety if i had to cover the whole peice haha. Like Clair always says, made with love not perfection. Hope you had a nice Easter 🐣

Thank you, definitely need the practice. I have more of this paper ( from Hobbycraft), I love it. Will try with a different mould for sure. 💜

Hallo and thank you for your video. I would like to know if you could easy clean jesmonite from the decoupage paper without scratch it. Thank you again.

I dont understand your question sorry. Once the decoupage paper is varnish and sealed on the Jesmonite, it will be hard to remove. Unless you do alot of sanding, and in this case I have not tried this. I would guess, you would be able to get it smooth again, but definitely alot of sanding involved. I hope that helps, if not I may have not understood your question. Which I do apologise 😊 💜

could u add a bit of glue to the mold then add the paper so it holds it in one place? or removeable glue

Oh I have never tried this method. Going by my temporary tattoo attempt, I would not be confident it will work 🤔 with Jesmonite. Resin more likely, definitely worth a try maybe 😊

Hello! Can I know what is the glue that you use? Can I use the glue to stick other stuffs to Jesmonite like polymer clay? Can the glue stick both Jesmonite material item together too?

It is Decoupatch paper patch varnish glue. I purchased it from Hobbycraft (uk), and its a green bottle. I have used this on my on my Airdrying clay. But it was fully dry, was left a week before I did anything with it. I do normally use Modge podge, this was just as good 😊
