It’s a shame, now after starting show, I can’t help but feel like this is the set they really should have went the extra mile on, and instead because of past Disney SW stumbles, they didn’t give it much thought, cause this set could have been so much better, and added some awsome Easter eggs, that kids who are into show would have went nuts for, like there def should have been new custom minifig of the droid, with the little mouse thing sticking out of his eye, and the interior should have been WAY better, and didn’t even need to change size or price, just concentrate the goodness in different areas, like the cockpit should have been “start” of this design, not an afterthought attached to side by tech pin🤦🏻♂️, and also interior should have incorporated some pirate looking things, web here or there, maybee skeleton somewhere, like they really could have leaned into the whole “goonies in space” thing for kids, and this set could have been huge, cause I think the show is going to do well, it’s actually pretty good, and I know from my kids, kids are loving it, n my kids are SW purists, not usually fans of newer stuff lol, but they have really been into this show
Very true. It for sure could have had more put into it. I do think it would have come at a higher price but if it was say $20 more, I would not have mind. I did a comparison video on this ship vs the other 3 major hero ships (Ghost, Razor, MF) and I pointed out how one of the major issues with this ship is interior accessibility. You cannot get your hands in there to really play with anything. So even as is, with some of the nice interior aspects, you can only look at it. I will say it is a nice set but as you said some improvements could have been made. They will not make a new version anytime soon of play scale size but maybe a USC version... But probably $600, yikes!

@@BrickBuildersMD The Engines is a super fun feature on this ship, I can not lie about that. She will enjoy that. And landing with the engines facing up, and going into take off mode when in your hands swooshing it around, lol.
Well after seeing tonight's episode it looks like the Onyx is about to get a MAJOR update.
