Hi Fulton, watching you compose this mix media collage was interesting to say the least. The closeup showed intriguing different zones of the collage that was not seen as a whole. It’s very unique. The panel is ideal and I hope you consider trying it on your larger gelli plate, who knows where that will lead you to.🙏🏻❤️❤️
Love this video Fulton. Ive just used my last canvas board, and yesterday l found some MDF tripple primed ones. I really like what youve done with your board, will have a go. You are a lovely teacher, thank you.....Alioban ❤
Lovely result. There is pre-primed canvas I've seen, which might work too. Could be cut to whatever size. I stretch and prime my canvases, sometimes just stretching with thumb tacks on a drawing board. Rubbing with a flat stone while the gesso is wet gives an almost paper like smooth finish, though it sacrifices the tooth! Good for line work though.
I love to watch collage on canvas boards it’s great to see ,I bought some regular ones last year to have a go, but I have yet to pluck up courage having watched this I’m just definitely going to have a go.could a bit of fabric be used also.?❤️🩹
I have some A4 canvas panels that I had been thinking about using for collage so am very interested to see your experiment. Wish I could get square ones of that quality at that price here in the UK! I love that yellow, and brayer offload paper is one of my favourites to use for collage. As always thanks for sharing and inspiring us to try new things!
Hello Diana. I'm in the UK and I've been using Windsor and Newton canvas boards, but yes they are dearer than the ones Fulton uses. Yesterday l found some Cowling and Wicox Artist canvas board on Amazon. 30x30cms £2.90 !! down from £5.80. Its MDF board triple primed canvas. Hope that's helpful 😊
Very cool idea! My sister bought me a roll of primed cotton canvas for acrylic painting, not panels like you have. You made me think if I can use that with my gel plate - just cut the size i need from the roll, proceed just like i would with paper. I wonder if the paint will stick to the canvas? I can't get to the canvas roll for a while tho. Interesting!
I tried to see what Jerry's Artorama had in stock, but I was blocked at once! I don't know why. Perhaps I live too far away t but I have had no problems with Blick which is just as far away. (Seychelles).
This turned out really cool! You are so good at pulling this together and making it look great! Do you always water down the modge podge or do you sometimes use it full strength?

I have to smile, because we share the same ‘can’t leave well enough alone’, I add and add until it feels right.
Oh this is so right on time, I've been doing a lot of my prints on everything except tissue paper. I just love your videos thankyou so much!
Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland. Gefällt mir sehr gut 👍👏🙋♀️🥳

Vielen Dank fürs Zuschauen! 💖💖🙏🏻🙏🏻
Applying the paint with a color shaper after the collage is attached -- inspired idea! Lets you react to the collage. Love it!

It's worth a shot. I always believe in using what you have instead of buying unnecessary stuff.
Playtime ! Wonderful. Canvas in the geli did not work for me. Maybey with An extra layer Gesso? Thanx Fulton 👍

Love your videos !

Can you please try and gel print straight on to them 🎉
I'll have to use the big plate, good suggestion!
Is there a proper grade of tissue paper that you use or can one use the typical tissue purchased in stores ?
I like to use cheap gift wrap tissue.
This turned out really cool! You are so good at pulling this together and making it look great! Do you always water down the modge podge or do you sometimes use it full strength?
I use it full strength when I use it as a sealer. Otherwise I always water it down to facilitate absorption into the fibers of the paper collage .
Will you paint the edges ?
I may not have to if it will be framed.
Brilliant!
