In this snippet from one of our stoppages during The Lallantop Bihar Chunav Yatra, we take a look at the Muaryan period caves in Barabar , also known as Vanavar caves which date back to 245 BC. In these caves, monks from the Ajivika sect used to meditate, and these caves are known to be the first man made caves cut of rocks. The granite rocks these caves are cut out from are so well polished that one can see their face’s reflections on the walls.

Hum yahan aate rahte hain. Mere MPhil dissertation me vistar se is sthan ka ullekh hai. Guard sahab ki mriduta, udaarta aur gyan ko salaam!🙏 wo hamesha itni hi vinamrata se sb k sath pesh aate hain. Unka vyaktitva un k kshetra ka bhi pratinidhitva krta hai... yahi karan hai ki log kahte hain magahi zabaan bhi kam shireen nahi hai!!!!

My home is just 5 km away from these caves. Here there is beautiful Old and famous Shiva temple also, all hills are filled with greenery , it is still a mystic place. Do visit World known first Manmade surviving caves .

This man is a perfect guide.. For maintenance and guiding tourist guide... Bihar government is not paying him much.. Therefore after doing his duty.. He will demand bakshish.. If you dont then... Then he will fume and make your visit unpleasant. A must visit... He will go again.
