Wish you guys could have seen them live back in the day in greenville texas. Right when they started. To get his sounds, he would end up bloodying himself with the microphone. All while being the most energetic singer I have ever seen on stage. And I have been to a LOT of live shows over the years. These guys were amazing. Unfortunately almost none of you will ever hear the songs the way they were before all the "official" releases. It was so much better when it was raw and dirty. (This is literally the only band i get to sound all hipster and say "i remember when they were underground"). I saw them in a dilapidated old metal building in GREENVILLE TEXAS. -Fuck that town. But the show was awesome!
That is an amazing story. I fell in love with Fables and would have loved to see them while the music was still raw. I caught them in Flint, MI while they were premiering their 2nd album. Even then, the energy was INCREDIBLE. This guy stage dives during the first song (Manatee) and later hangs upside on the ceiling about the crowd while holding the mic INSIDE his mouth, and then dives in. Great show. I'll blast their music in my car forever
I was in school at Texas A&M and they would come through almost monthly. My friend and I fell in love with them and that raw style you speak of. It really was WAY different than the commercialized version. You HAD to see them live to make sure you understood the full scope of each song, because was nothing was as it seemed on the album recordings.
where are you guys??? heard you once on the radio years ago.....still love this album. I remember you guys from battle of the bands at the Hard Rock, I was working for Can of Jam production.
No it's all FTM's doing. There are two album versions of Vice/Versa, (this one and the one from Fables), and there is the Demo for IFS Also, there is an older version that they played live but never recorded for an album, although i uploaded a live recording of it, (which you can download thanks to Gutterth). Gutterth also uploaded a live video of that older version. This is also true with some of their other songs, like Dance of the Manatee. Hope you enjoy listening to them.
Could you please link to that older live version if you ever get around to seeing this? Ppl have raved about it and being a 12 year fan, it's still a thorn in my side
@@Muzikrazy213 also this, which actually has a different melody and lyrics than either version: ua-cam.com/video/yYQ2K2NIoKk/v-deo.htmlsi=6-GiGYxNvJW12Vwk
i agree 100% that this version is better. the main chorus when he sings "Still frame, no dice. Where did you get your evidence? Move now, stay still. It takes a luminescent hue, The wood, the crest, that's weaved outside your vest, Still frame, no dice.." sounds so much better on this version.. and his voice definitely isn't cracking.. if you've ever met darroh or seen him live you'd realize that this is how he actually sings. he puts his heart into it and it shows. the emotion is just there
This is awesome. I like every song on this album and Fables, but I think some are better on this, while others are on Fables. This song, Upgrade Brigade, Walls Of Jericho, & A Seafarer's Knot are better on I.F.S in my opinion, but DOTM & Kyla Cries Cologne sound better on Fables.
@underthewhitedime I agree with Codfish, I don't see a resemblence... I am glad they didn't because I want Fair to Midland to keep their own sound.. they are totally unique
@RoboFrogROBLOX worse song? NO Way, i've always loved this song. imo, top underrated song (if you can say they only have one) and this version and cd as a whole is best
@codfish6677 I just about completely agree, though this is the only song that i like better on inter.funda.stifle, the chorus is much better in my opinion

When I first heard them it was in 2007 and it was this album. What did they used to sound like.
God dammit, I keep flipping back between this one and the new version and can't decide which one I like better, they're both so good.
yeah mine too. That extra beat really makes all the difference. And the scream leading into the second chorus sounds way better here.
Ive heard many a bands but none come even close to fair to midland. Greatest band ill ever listen too!
I get chills are the "breathe" part every time.
I didn't realize this was a different version, this one is definitely better.
Definitely my fav version of this song. Long live FTM.
For so long the only prog I ever listened to was TOOL but I'm glad I've exspanded 2 a lot of other great bands in this genre this is 1^^
IFS version of every song is soooo much better :) ty for uploading
WoW! Brilliant! CDMX
amazing song. its sad that they broke up
where are you guys??? heard you once on the radio years ago.....still love this album. I remember you guys from battle of the bands at the Hard Rock, I was working for Can of Jam production.
i enjoy this song alot, ive listened to it 5 times ina row now
You know it's funny, they even did a more... jazz version of this, which can be found on youtube. The talent that they have is just incredible.
This is the first version i've ever heard of this song, and now I refuse to listen to any other version :d
It will be on nearly any site...
This kicks the Fable's version FACE where can I find this! (And the Carbon Copy)
just AMAZING!

Inter.funda.stifle!
I like it so much better than Fables.
different, but very good. it so nice to see this side of ftm, anyone know where this is available to buy?
I can see why some people would like this version better
yeah that's right very nice song! and amazing band

i like this version
@5aaron23 I was just looking amusedly at the goosebumps I had, and immediately after read this comment lol. epic.
I love both the albums! :D I do agree the first one is a little more raw. but no more better or worse.
yo cod thanks for posting this but i cant find the mp3 for this can u help a brother out?
@underthewhitedime I agree with Codfish, I don't see a resemblence... I am glad they didn't because I want Fair to Midland to keep their own sound.. they are totally unique

how can i get this recording on my ipod?
This is the best new band I've heard lately. They sound a LOT like INCURA tho...
how do i get this mp3
@Justin Smith
Absofuckin'loutley :D
damn, that's a good song.
@Joey Kimble
google youtube to mp3
@codfish6677
I just about completely agree, though this is the only song that i like better on inter.funda.stifle, the chorus is much better in my opinion
Why is it much better? Because his voice is cracking the entire time? I love FTM, but the album version is definitely preferable.
type in SWCC skydiving
A video I made with fair to Midland and other music.
Yea Kyla Cries Cologne sounds WAY better on Fables. That's my favorite song on Fables, while this one is my favorite on IFS.
This is definitely the better version of the song.
buy inter funda stifle.
yeah, incura blows
worse songs, then it's a great song?
The video description.... How is this better, much less "far better"? The singing was awful in this.
this version kinda sounds like shit compared to the revision ngl
