What game was monk watching... thinking we deserved the win when Wycombe were all over us from start to finish. Most of the time we couldnt get out of our half. We take a lucky lead and he subs on Taylor who doesn't compete or contribute to the team. 100% penalty, Taylor being sly with an off the ball challenge when he didn't need too. Referee was poor but got that decision right!!
We are looking more like a league 2 side every week.. but tbh think we're gonna struggle in league 2 next season. Time for the board to put their money where their mouth is an invest in the squad not electric billboards 😢

To be fair, the pen maybe a pen. But the ref was shite (to both teams) going against the linesmen to blatantly give wrong decisions. Awarding fouls for nothing and letting crunching go. Poor subs, Lankaster notably, at least Taylor hardly touched the ball.

2 wins in 13. 9pts from 39. If we end up going down, then we can only blame ourselves. We simply don't score enough goals. Defensively, bar three games, we have been good. Not having a potent enough strike force could end up costing us.

It's a combination of the strikers feeding off absolute scraps for most of the season and wasting most of what little is created. You can't just keep scraping by at this level, sooner or later you stop getting away with it.

For the love of god Gary, don't take Lyle taylor with you to Port Vale on Saturday, or better still loan him to Port Vale for a day.

What the fuck is wrong with LT
      Is he on something ????

    • @chrisasplen5605

LT first went down in my estimations the week Harris left for Millwall; most notably the incident with former U Jack Iredale resulting in the 3 match ban when we were struggling to field fit strikers at that time. I hope he isn't even on the bench this Saturday, we don't need that type of attitude on the field at all.

His record is not all that, is it? Two wins, three draws and five defeats from ten, I make it. He was giving it all that about how he kept Birmingham up from a dire position, but just like last year, this squad are making life incredibly hard for themselves when they've had plenty of chances to ensure safety. Maybe it's a bit of complacency, it feels like they felt they'd got the job done with the two wins over Easter, but they've not kicked on from there.

any manager in place right now would be in the same position, players are simply not good enough and we don't create enough going forward through the centre of the pitch.

No Joe Joe it's a combination of not being able to actually play the game caled football. Just kicking the ball in air. We deserve to go down

Our best and most committed player Harrison dunk who has been injured most of the season would have made a difference if been fit

Bank on Cheltenham beating Stevenage as Stevenage have nothing to play for plus an ex Posh boss who doesn’t like the Us. Will Burton overcome Fleetwood, you have to plan for a Burton victory but please don’t go to Vale and play for a point!

"Stevenage have nothing to play for plus an ex Posh boss who doesn’t like the Us"
Steve Evans left to go to Rotherham last week and I've never heard him say anything negative about us, quite the opposite.
He often mentions that most of his in-laws are massive Cambridge United fans.
Stevenage's caretaker manager is Alex Revell, who was born and bred in Cambridge and started his career with us and having got a good result at Oxford, he'll want to end the season with a win, in the hope of getting the job full time.
It may be hard for Stevenage's players to get up for the game on Saturday when they've got nothing to play for but I have no doubt their manager will be desperate to win and will pick his best side.
This is what he said the other day:
Stevenage interim boss Alex Revell wants his side to finish the season "on a high" despite missing out on the League One play-offs.
First-team coach Revell was put in charge for the rest of the season after Steve Evans left last week to return to former club Rotherham United.
"The last few days has shown what we are as a club. When something happens we just come together, knuckle down and deliver," he told BBC Three Counties Radio.
Boro will be at home to Cheltenham on Saturday in their final game of the campaign.
"You've always got something to play for, your own performance, your family, the fans, everything. We have to make sure we do everything right. We want to finish the season on a high."

@@Ernest_Thesiger no Posh boss likes Cambridge, good manager you have there to replace Evans, I feel more comfortable knowing that Stevenage are more likely now to take the game seriously unlike the other club in Cambridgeshire who played a reserve team in a match that affected 3 teams, that won’t be forgotten when we play them next season and I hope all clubs in league 1 remember Tuesday night’s disrespecting behaviour from Posh as well

1-0 and you take off gassan kaikai and bonne. Are you taking the piss?? His poor subs costed us again. Surely it was obvious we just needed to see the game out and keep the ball in the attacking half so our makeshift defense didn’t have any pressure. I would’ve just put in feji as he is the only player in the squad who is able to play a decent ball on the outside and hold it up. I don’t really want to see monk next season to be honest

The whole club needs sacking. There just not even playing football. All they do is kick the ball in the air. It's diabolical. Even a premier league ex manager not teaching them how to pass the ball along the floor it's ridiculous.
