Too be fair, the one who took her in the second time probably DID love her. But...the law is the law... She's lucky they were able to send her back to the sanctuary. In too many cases, "illegal" animals are court-ordered to be immediately put-down, zero tolerance. There's never any, "gimme a bit to comply with the law." It's all, "Get it done or go to jail. And the animal will be seized and put down immediately." Enforcers don't care about the law, or about helping individuals or society...they only care about having the power to force others to follow their commands.
Anyone who thinks they could NEVER become an animal person should meet Sterling. With her exuberant personality, beauty, and joyful vocalizations, she could win over the most indifferent soul!

That's just fear talking. They are scared and can't admit it so they say they don't like animals. Every person I've ever seen like that, that actually tried to spend time with an animal, has become a lover of them. All animals can be loved.... And most people. Lol😅😊

It’s so funny how vocal foxes can be. They obviously love attention. My wife and I have a pool and one day we looked out and a Fox was laying on his back on one of the poolside beds, taking a nap. It was hilarious. My wife took a picture of him. But he came around for several years and I put food out for him every night and he’d have snacks with the cats. I haven’t seen him for a couple years and I really miss him. But I called him “Fantastic Mr. Fox.”
They are wonderful animals. I miss my wild friends that I named Fred, Lil Peanut, and Buddy.
He’s probably too busy off fighting Boggis Bunce and Bean.

You'd be surprised how much personality animals have, even chickens are very distinct individuals at times.
Its because its the product of a breeding program, they breed them to be friendly. That's also why their coat is white.

@@r-giireactions2235 Yup I have wild chickens who roam into my garden, the big rooster who I’ve known since birth (Turkey is what I call him) comes running into the garden every sunrise straight to my balcony while I’m having a coffee, he knows they know when I put the veg peels out every afternoon. They sleep in my Mango tree all 25 of them (they can fly), Thailand chickens are awesome.
They're all beautiful, but Sterling is especially so, and her energetic, loquacious personality just enhances her beauty

If you go to their website, you'll see part of the facility includes a large, open fenced area for them to run around in. Looks like it's a really big yard area, so it's not just that they're only in their kennels all the time, which is good to see.
Hate all cages, a big big fenced field would be kinder?

Every animal is amazing, no matter the size! I wish people would see how amazing pigs are, cows, chickens, turkeys, fish, sheep, etc., etc. and stopped eating them! Food grows, food is not born!

Im from ,Montreal,Quebec,Canada and there's a wonderful (Zoo) Its also a sanctuary a place they rehabilitate animals that can or can't go back in the natural habitat, Its called The Miller Zoo,and it was the first time that i heard a fox laughs!

Why would anyone not want her? She is so friendly and cute.
My guess would be the amount of work involved with them. There is a lot of vocalization and some people hate that. It's crazy but I know someone that wanted to do surgery on their dog so they couldn't bark. Notice I didn't say this person is a friend. Disgusting. Many animals require a lot of care and some folks aren't ready for that reality. They see something that looks cute and get it. They need to get decorative stuffed animals not real ones.

Maybe the person got this fox thinking it would be like a dog, and it is not. I agree, these people should not have any animals, and I hope they don't have any children either.

What's confusing about them?
If her sanctuary is set up similar to something like Arctic Fox Daily's setup (she's on tiktok mainly), they have good sized pens for different pairs/small groups of foxes that get along well together and a much larger fenced in area where they can run around a lot more. The groups get rotated so they all get turns in the big yard.

Such a talker! I love fox noises, I've only come to know them during the pandemic. It was when I first saw the Finnegan Fox video, and since then I'm hooked. I've followed several fox sanctuaries/rescue accounts including this one, as well as the famous Juniper. They are really a joy to watch.

The cage is just a space with a roof where they are placed in at night so they don't run into any unwanted night visitors like coyotes or large birds, and also so they aren't as likely to catch any mice or rabbits that may stray into the yard since they can get diseased from such prey. This is also a spot where they can hide from the elements (pretty sure they are provided with like a heat pad for winter) or relax from frolicking. And it's probably where their food and water is provided. They still have designated yards for each fox or fox pair where they can run and frolick all they want. At night they are put away to such cage because an owner does need sleep too and can't supervise them at night as they would during the day.

They have a much larger run yard. It is normal for fox rescues to have smaller enclosures connected to a much larger run yard.
This is because foxes are rather territorial animals so those with compatible personalities are grouped together in the enclosures (each of which is that group's "territory") and then the groups take turns in the run yard. This helps save more foxes and avoid fights while still giving them time and room to run around, play, and dig in the larger area.

Thats why canids are so special to humans. No other species can display so much affection and love towards human beings as dogs, coyotes, foxes, wolves and the like.
Fox are awesome! Very smart. I have a family that I feed in the Winter when it’s tougher for them to find food. I taper off when the weather gets warmer…so as to avoid getting them too dependent on humans. Love all those around you…including the animals that enrich our lives.

Foxes bred by humans cannot be released back into the wild. So they will stay there.

Darling, but that cage is way too small for two foxes. Even one.
Donate so they can build larger enclosures. Or start your own sanctuary that provides better. Or go after the breeders and fur farms that make these places necessary.
That’s basically their room. They have a much bigger yard space to play in. The sanctuary rotates the foxes playtime

Oh they are so loved. Its heartbreaking to see them locked in cages. Foxes become stressed and pick on one another in small cages. Im sure people will help you provide more space for their wellbeing.❤
This sanctuary has a much larger run yard not just the smaller enclosure. This is normal for fox sanctuaries because foxes are very territorial and so they need to be organized into compatible groups. The groups then take turns in the run yard to avoid fights between them.
