I wish worship was like this at my church. When I was a kid we went to a church that sang hymns from a book with one lady on the piano. Now that I'm a full-grown man, I miss this. The concert style worship doesn't hit the same. With the old hymn books, I feel that its more inviting for all to jump in on worship and not have people make spectacles of themselves in the middle of worship.
My mom transitioned a year ago on 2/20/2022 and the Eulogist at her homegoing service concluded with this hymn. I am eternally connected to this hymn. I have been listening to it daily since 2/20/2023 on this channel. This congregation sings it so well. Nothing beats congregational hymn singing.

Glory be to God for sending His Only Son to die on the cross for the forgiveness of my sins and through it i now have eternal life and the Sweet Holy Spirit Jesus sent us to comfort us,,,Praises be to God Almighty
I was raised on momma's knee in church and these old hymns are forever in my heart. Thank you. I struggle so much in churches where everything is choruses on the overhead. I want a hymnal and some old gospel singing where we rejoice in the lord. There's nothing wrong with new music, but it doesn't stir my heart like these old hymns do.
