Can we please have : her current studio vocal range ( 2010s and 2020s) and karen clark sheard new album vocal range please
@Slaychelle Can you do an 2010s version of the Kierra Sheard Kelly vocal range?
Oh yes definitely, I already started on that. I need to go back and some missing features.
At least, I know the pitches will be correct on your videos!
As Mariah said on Got2BReal…”I detected a little bit of shade” 😂
@@Slaychelle 😁😁😁I don't know about European countries, but in the U.S., a lot of funding was taken away from school music programs and it shows. Some well-meaning people who don't fully understand what an octave is are making videos about music theory and vocal pedagogy, and spreading misinformation like wild fire. I appreciate those who get it right.
@@TruthSerum101 That's why I like to keep it simple here. I know what I know and what I have yet to learn to a teachable level.
In the UK, music education funding is being halved. The arts are such a huge influence on culture, enjoyed by everyone and are massive industries...but goverments don't see the value in funding the next generation of creators. SMH.
@@Slaychelle I guess AI will end up composing the music of the future - yikes! Not only do you know what you know, you're also an excellent and agile vocalist with a multi-octave range of your own. I would love to see you posting your music again.
@@TruthSerum101Thanks so much! As I say “life has been life-ing” 😂. I can’t believe it’s been half a decade since I posted something 😮
I love her full belting, wonderful agility choices even this early and how raw and emotive she is!
Yes that mix of raw power, fluidity and controlled dynamics…and so young.
What would you say her voice type is?
@@lordvoldemort5725high light lyric soprano… not because of range but where her voice sits. If she mixed her notes she would be singing higher than her mother. Her voice actually sits higher than her moms
@@Jay2k2323 Thank you.
@@Jay2k2323i COMPLETELY AGREE , and i BEEN saying this ! Kierra voice is very high placed / child-like sounding at times. She tends to growl and squall a lot to darken her voice. But she is hitting Bb5 and B5 belts with a very chest dominant mix. The day she learn how to use a heady mix like karen she will be in the C6-D6 belts with ease
Can you do the vocal evolution of Kierra sheard?
Can’t believe I’m just seeing this. Always loved Kierra’s voice! Awesome video as usual!
Do you think that natural rasp on her voice partially vanished due to her voice maturing? Or through brightening her belting approach because I feel like her voice was alr super bright
I don't hear a natural or constant rasp. It sounds like a stylistic choice most of the time, depending on how hard she's singing. On Praise Offering she squalls a D5 but then belts beyond that with varying levels of weight going all the way up to a bright A5 with no rasp.
I actually think her natural belting tone is like Twinkies (more weighty and husky) but I feel like she definitely brightens her approach by lifting her larynx slightly to make her sound more girly like her mom. It may also help her hit higher notes since her mix is chestier than her moms.
@@Treyyyy-h9nright which is the same with Twinkie. Around 2000 Twinkie started to lighten her tone and it took some of the weight off and the ease in her belts were very similar to Karen’s. She was hitting Bb5s and everything.
I'm ready for it!!!
Welcome back!!!
🎶Her vocals are so serious!!🎶
On another level! So powerful
Question… Is She Considered A Strong Alto With A Stretched Range (Now) Or Is She Just A Mezzo Soprano? I Know She Isn’t In The Range Category With Her Mom, But She’s Up There & Her Growls Are Stronger Than Her Moms (More Like Vintage Twinkie)
this girl is a soprano 😂 a light one at that
She's always been a relatively light soprano, but she sings big and powerful if that makes sense which gives the illusion that her voice is bigger than it is, but her instrument is naturally bright and light-weighted. I agree about her growls and squalls, she has that Twinie-level savagery (lol), but Karen has her moments and often takes growls waaaay into the passagio, even a growled Bb5 (4:10 here - ua-cam.com/video/Nzt4nYM3uOg/v-deo.html&ab_channel=AndrewBarclay). The growls in particular darken the sound and make all of their voices sound much bigger and lower than they are. Their voice all sound relatively light without them when you compare them to other sopranos like Chaka Khan, Tamela Mann or Jennifer Hudson.
Trained singer and vocal coach Dileesa Archer did an analysis some time ago and categorised Kierra as a Soubrette soprano. I haven't heard the upper head extension beyond soprano C that her mother and aunts have displayed multiple times, yet Kierra seemed more comfortable F5+ above at the same age. Also, her voice in her 30s has maintained the same girlish timbre it's always had, whilst Karen and Twinkie's voices sounded more mature in their 20s.
@@Slaychelle Thank You 🙏🏾 You Broke This Down Very Very Well.
Do you have destiny’s child stuff?
Nothing new on the group but may do some solo ranges
Great video
Thank you :)
Can you do the 2000s live edition of Kierra Sheard-Kelly’s vocal range?
Yes, I’ll probably do the studio ones first plus I’ve got to circle back to her mother and aunts. I’ve got notes already compiled for them.
Thought you died glad you came back
Thanks, need to follow this up
0:39 what’s that song

She breathes f5s omg
Yes it's so funny to me that people think she's not a soprano. She's always been up there and with a LOT of weight.
