One question from Spain. Is it possible to use an external filter with this aquarium? I mean, are there holes in the cover to pass the tubes through it? I suppose it is not obligatory to use the CFBio150 filter.
First of, thanks again for watching. Those holes on the cover of Ciano Aqua 60 is only enough for air tubes and wires. As such for this aquarium, you cannot use external filter but only internal type. Any brand of internal filter will do, it is not obligatory to use CFBio150 filter however when I bought the aquarium it came with this filter so I used it initially but later changed it with another brand as shown in video.
What to do step by step can you write in here I buy tank in January what fish do you recommend I want a variety what does the filter do and how often to change water?
Hey Gerard, Thankyou for this video, very infomative,i have bought the same Ciano 60 aquarium and keeping Goldfish in them for the first time. Just a question ,can we use two different cartridges toghether in the tank as there are 4 slots in it. As in can i use the algae cartridge and the water clear cartridge toghether in the filter provided.
Thanks for watching. I have another video wherein I pimped my CFBio150 filter to address the issues I had with this filter if you are interested as well. ua-cam.com/video/OGcWgITCbxU/v-deo.html
Gerard. I hope you see this. One question, how did you mount the auto feeder to tank lid. Also what brand is the auto feeder. I also have this tank and need an auto feeder for my vacation. Many thanks
Hi Gerard, great videos. I’m a complete beginner to aquariums, and was looking for a tank to hold 2 goldfish and 1 cleaner fish. The ciano 60 is on my radar, however looking at the size of the bio filter in your video, I have to agree with your view that it’s too big. For a beginner with my needs, would you recommend buying the Ciano 60 and replacing the filter with the SOBO you have? Or buying a plain tank and picking up the light/filter separately? Looking at around 60L capacity.
The Ciano tank is good as a beginner tank but the internal filter that comes with it is not good for me. There are better alternative internal filters that will not take much space in the tank and easier to maintain/clean like the Sobo I used.
@@gerardlubid9623 thanks for the advice. I’m based in the UAE as well. Would the SOBO filter you have, work well for goldfish? Also, would you recommend adding an air stone?
@@merwynd9044, if there is already sufficient water agitation or in other words if the filter outlet is already creating enough movement or waves on the surface of water then no need to add airstone.
What brand is the heater where can I buy the same one I need it for mine
Interesting video how did you take off the filter off.

I found a cheaper open aquarium, it's about 54l 15 gallons

Is that the SOBO FH-1903 or 1902 internal filter you are using? I looked it up online and the 1903 has 3 compartments, not 2 like yours.
Nice video. Thanks for sharing.

I used double adhesive tape. It is a Dophin brand auto feeder.
