Good content! I have an RB, but I'm pretty curious on building a KA someday as well!
SuperDuper Geo Do it man! KAs are bulletproof. Anything done to the RB?
@@thatgreens1380 it's just been oem rebuilt. I am not doing anything costly towards the RB yet cuz I'm still deciding if I should sell it and go KA-T. I'm curious how much you've spent budget wise so far?
SuperDuper Geo building the engine was roughly $3500. id say in tools and everything ive probably spend around $8-10k including all supporting mods (toyo r888rs, one piece steel driveshaft, z32 front calipers, etc). I went all out with most of the parts i got but you could run an isr turbo kit on a stock KA and make 250whp for around $3500-4000. Let me know if you need help!
How did the bc rods hold up
Haven’t been able to drive the car much after getting it tuned, but they have held up great so far. Engine feels super healthy and strong. They’re rated for 800hp and I’m only around 500 at the crank, so still a bit of room to grow. Thanks for watching!
Quick question for the 410hp you made did you use the stock trans?
Yes, but I am already on my second trans lol. Launching at low rpm at the drag strip broke the output shaft on my last transmission. I think 350 is the MAX recommended for the stock trans, but I have 3 of them so I’m just staying stock until I have more cash to play with. Sorry I didnt answer for 2 years…
