TheHappy115 i milled his kingsbane and kept his hand full of garbage when he played cho. his ai freaked out and didn't play anything, most disappointing final boss
I kinda struggled with him, he either would never play fellreaver og play it with his kingsbane in hand so I solved the problem of lack of taunts with trap spamming, misdirection fucks his strategy, almost milled him.
Well, I think it was lazy and repetitive to implement the exact same format and code. This was a good thing... last expansion. Nothing new or exciting about this. I would've preferred something different altogether.
i beg to differ. they improved upon the old code alot, with the current bosses not being broken because op cards or bad cause of lul blizzard ai. theyre much more well balanced and fun, as well as there being a lot of cool voice interactions pointing some intresting lore
Andy John Rodriguez you don’t know what you’re talking about. I’ve actually encountered bosses with broken cards and interactions. The fucking amalgam that continued wrecking my board and summoning big dudes, the Kingsbane guy, another one with like all giants in the game plus some hard removal, the one that draws spells whenever you cast a spell, face collector with his evolve shenanigans and some others.I’ve not finished a single run because of unfair and awful bosses. The original dungeon run, though it had unfair bosses,is much better than this one because you had more legit fun. This expansion has ruined the entire game for me.I only fight with odd even paladins hunters warlocks... I detest this game with all of my heart.I seriously hope one day the developers will fix this money-hungry piece of shit Sorry for the long comment but I had to let it out
Vlad Dinu you ALWAYS face Captain Shivers as the final fight as Tess. Amalgamation is fucking easy to counter: board control and removal, JOB DONE. Just don't have a spell heavy deck in preparation of having Dusktalon. Stop complaining, you are just shit at the game. Go play Wild and complain about people having previous expansion cards. *Sorry for the long comment I had to let it out.*
I'm so tilted watching this after failing to beat Shivers like 9 times and you getting the most disgustingly good luck against him first try. Usually he has like an 8/3 lifesteal weapon by turn 2-3.
Anthony Landrum I actually remember that back when I first started playing the game over the summer, and I was still very new to the mechanics, I somehow beat captain shivers first try. Basically, he played Lorewalker cho and Trade Prince Gallywix, and I just casted a bunch of garbage spells to fill his hand with a ton of coins and a bunch of the same spell. I can’t remember what the spell was, but it must have been trash for me to win. Once I filled his hand, I milled Kingsbane on accident. I didn’t even know how milling worked back then. My beginners luck must have been insane. My very first run with Tess and I beat it. Haven’t been able to do it with any other class since.
The whisperer makes all spells have Echo. If you get Tess's 0 mana deal one damage spell, you can echo that and OTK him on turn 2, turn one if you get the 1 cost hero power treasure. Ez wins lul
It happened to me today on turn one. I thought it was part of the game, and it was baiting me into thinking it was a free win and then something crazy happening...
I really enjoy that you added music to the final fight. Adding special music to the final boss fight adds a really nice dynamic to the adventure. I hope Blizzard does this to future single player campaigns.
Gotta say, I sunk 11 hours into this already (don't judge me), and this was amazing. Tess was insane, because I got Sticky Hands twice, so Cheap Shot just killed everything for free, and I had the most insane value games. Darius was amazingly fun, beat the run with him twice, once as a control-type deck and once as an aggro inspire deck. Shaw was underwhelming; took me 88 bosses to win. His hero power is weaker than the rest of them, but I eventually won with some 4 12/12's by turn 6 shenanigans. Toki was absolutely AMAZING. The boss fight was such a clown fiesta, and I won just about every fight with less than 10 hp. I'm glad to see that Trump found the same insane value from Tess that I did, rather than my original plan to get infinite Sinister Strikes. As for the FINAL fight, I can't say I've truly experienced it. I used Blingtron and gave Hagatha a Cursed Blade, so...
For me, Tess was easy and fun, Darius, was a little slow to take off, but with the cannon buff, I was able to clear really easily. Shaw was boring and took me a couple of tries. I'm still working on Toki, but I think I am just getting screwed constantly. Lost to the frog boss twice due to the hero power always targeting my biggest minions.
Toki's was the best. I got the double the first spell artifact, and just kept putting scroll of wonders into my deck. At one point, I had 16 normal cards, and around 30 scroll of wonders in my deck. It was amazing. It actually saved me like 3 times throughout the last 3 fights, with one being the ridiculous combination of portal into puppetmaster into drawing a sylvanis, allowing me to steal and trade into the guy that reduces the costs of the cards in his hand.
Ah, Captain Shivers. Unlike most, I don't think that discovering Gnomeferatu and then making him discard his Kingsbane the first time he lost it was the intended way for the fight to go. Hilarious, though.
On my first run through, I won with literally just deadly poison and the card that gives you an array of tesses weapons by buffing the 8 durability wind fury weapon and having two potions of vitality literally made me invincible.
Oh man, Trump even got the same final boss I did, Shivers. I had an interesting match against him, where he was hellbent on smorcing me, but I managed to mill and burn his Kingsbane, so his power level dropped HARD after that.
Tess with the nerubian ambush card that adds three ambushes to the enemy deck is just too funny. The AI has a lot of carddraw so you end up with 7 4/4s 90% of the time :P
I had Explosive Trap when I fought Gnomenabber with Tess, combined with the ability that restores +2 health to everyone on your side of the board so the fight was hilariously easy.
deadeye0o Me too. Hahaha that was pretty funny. I was trying to create a OTK, and it was a little complicated. Then I realized about the 0 mana spell and I was like "wait... all spells have eco, right?". Yes, I was right.
It's not that special you can do that. Tess means that boss is literally a free win regardless due to rocks. Even if you are unlucky you start with sinister strike and can use sticky fingers to kill him with that. I spent a while trying to meme myself a 1001 damage kingsbane on turn 2 and oh boy, that was a learning experience.
Gotta say, I had a huge amount of fun with the kingsbane buckets, just get tinker's and poisons over and over, add lifestyle, and you have a 24 attack kingsbane.
I remember fighting Captain Shivers with my own Kingsbane and using my hero power to copy all his weapon-enhancing spells, plus Doomerang to keep it in my hand. It was a frantic race to see who could get their Kingsbane high enough to kill the other first and it was AWESOME!
Just did this combo with the whisperer and I was just in awe. Got to the 7th boss, then died to Gnome dude but it was on my part. So Op. Much value. Much wow.
Fun fact Captain Shivers gets really bothered if you equip a Kingsbane yourself (it's actually a decent pickup since scavenge lets you minimize how much it deck space it actually wants).
Oh sweet trump is playing Monster Hunter! It's certainly different from his usual hearthstone content but I'll take it. Can't wait to see him fight the deviljho
I did something similar in my tracker run using Jade Spirit+Aya Blackpaw, using my hero power to discover shadowstep over and over. Jades seem to be the way to go with this particular hero. It's worth noting that Shivers also uses Fel Reavers. At one point in my run he had two on board and I burned his entire deck (including his Kingsbane) in one turn.
Had a Tess dungeon run with double hero power costing 1, cards that didn't start in your deck cost 1 less and Hunter of Old, which is the 3/6 minion that gets +2 spell damage every time you cast a spell. Gotta tell you, good shit
Might I suggest playing Crowley next? I got the “Tactical Reinforcements” treasure and got a few good kills with hero power which reduced the cost of a lot of my cards. The 1 mana spell that increases the dmg by two can also help refresh hero power if you can kill minions Took only big minions and laughed as the bosses screamed in terror. Gilneas will definitely be safe with 2 lich kings and our great god Ragnaros.
Trump got super lucky this time around, it took me 130 or so bosses and countless runs to get cult of the wolf and sticky fingers. When I saw trump get it on his second run I felt so triggered. Also he high-rolled Jade Shurikens on turn 2 like a madman.
Fun thing I got is the 3 mana card which shuffles 3 ambushes into your enemies deck. Then the treasure that lets you use your hero power twice per turn and it costs 1. Essentially I filled up the enemy deck with ambushes and guaranteed a board for myself
I had a run with Tess where I got double vitality. I would hard mulligan for deadly shot, then spam it until they just ran out of cards. Near the end, I got a kingsbane and would stack deadly poison on it over and over, beating down the captain in a massive cutlass v cutlass
5:58 I feel you. I lost to this exact same boss the first time I met him. In the same way even, he cut me up with his 3/4 stick. ;( 37:10 I think Trumps brain is overloaded. He just burned a card because he didn't play a 0 mana sinister strike. XD 37:42 Wait, didn't he corpse raiser that guy? Nooooo! D: Your board is full! You won't get a 2nd Cairne! NUUU!!!
Just played Tracker for the first time yesterday, ended up not watching video until now to not spoil bosses/card pools etc. I died the same way Trump did against 2nd boss, Willie. After I knew his gimmick and tricks, I beat the adventure as Tracker, onto the next one.
Just so you know, the music you use between fights us music from the video game Fable, its By Russell Shaw and ironically the specific song you used is called Witchwood.
The bosses for Tess and Shaw are simple enough, Toki is retardedly impossible when your game gets reset every 10 turns and your health does not, and nobody knows about Darius since Lord Godfrey is bugged.
It is literally the theme for the Witchwood area in that game. I was really confused at first, but eventually realized it was just edited into the video.
So far I have does Toki, and Tess.. I beat the boss on the 1st try each time.. i'm going for all 4 without dying I guess now.. Also Toki's boss was my favorite so far in surprises I also had pretty broken decks each time.. For toki I had the passive that "The first spell you play in a turn you cast it again" x2, so every spell each turn went off 3 times.. paired with 8 of the 3 mana cards that say "Deal 5 damage to random enemys" and a ton of other stuff like that.. Basically total board control 100% of the time.. For Tess I had the card that made your hero power cost 1 and you can use it twice a turn paired with about 6-7 Jade Shurikens... Just cast 1 and you have infinite jades
Just did the Houndmaster run and got two passive treasures that give +2 each to your hounds you summon with your hero power (so they're 5/1's) and then Jungle Giants quest. EZ Clap
This makes me feel good, because now I know I'm not the only one who managed to lose to the second boss. I have the feeling this is harder than the KnC dungeon run, maybe because there are just four classes to play with.
I don't think that counts as an infinite combo, but it is close. Just find a way to decrease the cost of spells that didn't start in your deck by (2) then get the legendary that refreshes your hero power every time a spell is played
I play witchwood every october as it fits the season. This is all random... through many runs I've found you get jade shuriken less than half the time and this is real struggle without it.
just had amazing luck first run, cleared all 8 with ease. Healing myself and all cards for 2 each turn, hero power reduced to one and usable twice a turn, and a card that quips op weapons usable again and again, and all the jade cards ud ever want. It was really fun.
I have burnt his kingsbane by giving him a hand of magic card with his lorewalker Cho. Although I did it accidentally, I still felt that was a 200 IQ play...
Hello! It has been years since I played hearthstone, and I just got back into it. Could you tell me how to played that dungeon run twice? I thought you can do it only once in the span of a day or something like that.
It took Trump so long to maybe realize what face collector's deck was. Also, the final bosses have been easier than the 7/8 boss in all my runs. Shivers literally milled himself by turn 7 against me by playing a fel reaper on curve and milling his Kingsbane. On Darius I got the bog boss Trump played for 6(?)/8 so I just murdered him with a MASSIVE frothing and a memespire. Meanwhile for my 7/8 bosses I got the scarecrow as tess who I ONLY beat by constantly stealing Zap and then spamming Beneath the Grounds and Darius I played against the one who has defile as a hero power and runs like 4 copies of a "revive 7 minions that died this game from either player" and lived the last like 7 turns on 1 health point because my deck had HELLA taunts. Darius was way more fun to play but the only cannon support card that felt good was the 3 mana 3/4 that summons another one. Like the treasures before the last boss looked cool but I would have loved cards in the buckets to support the cannons because a worse fireblast at MOST stages of the game is underwhelming (It's amazing when you have 2 cannons but that requires being lucky).
Whoa, that weapon that silences is pretty bogus. It says it silences any minion attacked by it, but really, it silences FIRST then attacks, which could be your death if you're not careful.
when i saw you get to 5 health on willie on game 2 i was getting worried that you would lose game two but then i realized its trump and knowing him he would end the game with full health while the enemy dies
My first runthrough against Captain Shivers resulted in him having a 8 damage kingsbane with lifesteal on turn 2. Fun times.
TheHappy115 i milled his kingsbane and kept his hand full of garbage when he played cho. his ai freaked out and didn't play anything, most disappointing final boss
he played fel reaver and broke his king's bane, I proceeded to spam jade shurikens and put him into fatigue.
I kinda struggled with him, he either would never play fellreaver og play it with his kingsbane in hand so I solved the problem of lack of taunts with trap spamming, misdirection fucks his strategy, almost milled him.
Alladeen Madafaker easy and boring? You mean unfairly hard and nerve wrecking
Alladeen Madafaker Yeah, ok. Sure.

I really want Tess to be a rogue hero. I love her voice lines
"Absolutely incredible" and "The Uncrowned send their regards" being my favorites
soo... there's Tess the Rock Tosser, Tess the Snake carrier and Tess the Jade Queen?
The whisperer makes all spells have Echo. If you get Tess's 0 mana deal one damage spell, you can echo that and OTK him on turn 2, turn one if you get the 1 cost hero power treasure.
Ez wins lul
I had that happen to me, but I had two Sticky Hands, so it was a turn 2 kill with Eviscerate.
Sticky Hands + Sinister Strike is more consistent, could even be a turn one OTK
i did the same thing today lol and went crazy
It happened to me today on turn one. I thought it was part of the game, and it was baiting me into thinking it was a free win and then something crazy happening...

Ben George how the fuck did it take you 88 boss to done it with shaw... i done it on my first try 0o (no joke)
Shaw's hero power is stupidly good when you get the one to buff his bloodhounds. I found him the easier one to win with, I still have to do Toki tho
+Simple Tora Toki is the easiest, I think. I've had a lot of success with random/zoo builds.

I just love that outro so much ^^ good work!
Whenever Trump is at the "Choose your Loot" menu, does the background music remind anyone of Fable?
My favorite is the boss whose hero power gives all spells Echo. Turn one rock, gg. 😂

Bosses 1-7 are harder. The 8th boss is easier than in dungeon run imo
If captain shivers draws his weapon buffs early you are done. Who do you want to do against a 10 dmg weapon with life steal and poisonous on turn 6.
Poison is terrible on a kingsbane

For Tess I had the card that made your hero power cost 1 and you can use it twice a turn paired with about 6-7 Jade Shurikens... Just cast 1 and you have infinite jades
then your luck must be insane
Little did trump realize he could have played sinister strike, then the hero power to find sinister strike and play it again. 5:50

When I played vs Shivers he played a Loatheb and a Troggzor on curve, then recurred another Loatheb. Still won but dang. Trump had it easy compared.
Tess vs. Göbbels?
I like how Shivers has an 4 attack weapon until turn 8 when Trump faces him, while his kingsbane has 14 attack at the same when i face him.
Wow trump i loved your cameo in infinity war!
He got so lucky on captain shivers. I had a similar deck but got absolutely wrecked by having not enough shurikens in my spell pool.
Very first run, I faced that last boss and managed to make him discard his kingsbane pretty early and won, with two kingsbane of my own lmao
THE FABLE MUSIC AT THE START!
I almost finished Shaw, but a stupid minion and no Aoe got me stuck in an infinite loop where I lost all my willpower to play
?
;-;
I can’t win for shite, the only hero I’ve passed with is Tess, Toki is the weakest one of them all I think, so I’m trying to win with her now.
It took a while to notice while playing, but Face Collector is actually just using a copy of your deck.
YOU GOT THE COMBO CULT AND STICKY IN YOUR SECOND RUN!!!!!!!! AAAAH!!! I NEVER GOT THAT!!!
Like the treasures before the last boss looked cool but I would have loved cards in the buckets to support the cannons because a worse fireblast at MOST stages of the game is underwhelming (It's amazing when you have 2 cannons but that requires being lucky).
glad to see that I'm not the only one who gets rekt by the low life totals in the Witchwood Hunt
YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IM CAPABLE OF *casts Snake trap 6 times*
Whoa, that weapon that silences is pretty bogus. It says it silences any minion attacked by it, but really, it silences FIRST then attacks, which could be your death if you're not careful.
37:20
Congratulations, you played yourself
Anyone else hearing "FUKEN ASSS!" whenever Tess attacks?
32:13 is that a team siren reference omg
when i saw you get to 5 health on willie on game 2 i was getting worried that you would lose game two but then i realized its trump and knowing him he would end the game with full health while the enemy dies
*update* i stand corrected...
Man, I feel unlucky. The first time I fought that final boss, his weapon had 11 Attack and Lifesteal by something like turn 6 or 7.
Is... is that... Fable music I hear? The nostalgia! mmm....
I'm pretty sure that the face collector boss uses your deck. Though I'm not 100% sure
i've finally reached the final boss of Tess's run and i'm kinda scared to play cause i know i'm gonna lose.
Fable Soundtrack in the Background ?
That low rolling Face Collector though ffs
Tess with the double hero power, kingsbane, dp, and leeching.. usually had like a 30/3 lifesteal weapon.. Memes were had...
14:13 missed lethal. Weapon + minions = 9 damage, 3 rocks in hand, 12 damage, can create 2 rocks, 14 damage. 4 out of 6 mana spent. "Expert"
