Hi Aditya,
Thanks for the detailed explanation, i have a case where i was able to take backup successfully in the C drive. During this process it has used all the free space and now my C drive is completely full. I am trying to restore my backup now, as there is no space left in C drive i am unable to restore the backup.
Can you please help me with this case.
Thanks in Advance....!!!!!

Madhan
Hey Madhan,
Sorry for replying late.
Try deleting any previous backup files created by iTunes. That might free up any unwanted space.
Alternatively, you may create a junction from the folder where iTunes is storing the files for restoring to another disk where you have available space. That might do the work.
Hope it helps! :)
Can i take the backup restoration from the new drive ?
The backup will always be through c drive.
Aditya Sonthalia thanks for the revert but i was able to take the back up restoration from d drive after changing the path
Hi,I having these issue as me where my backup is in this folder C:\Users\user\Apple\MobileSync\Backup
but the other is there also
C:\USers\user\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup
When i do a back up and half gets stored there it goes to the first one and not the second one so that code doesnt work. Ive tried making adjustments but it still doesnt work. Any info would be great thanks.
It will be the second path which you described.
My CMD says “Cannot create a file when that file already exists”
how about if the itunes is downloaded from windows store? the folder named "Apple Computer" doesnt exist anymore..
"C:\Users\"username"\Apple\MobileSync" will the directory path then. :)
@@AdityaSonthalia thank you bruder..
So The full copy/paste line is:
MkLink /J Apple\MobileSync\Backup "D:\itunesb"
@@kshin8088 i been trying to change it for month none of the links works accept t your thank you so much
backup dono main save ho rha hain
par storage C drive ka nahi lega
I dont have Apple Computer in %AppData%. any solution?
found the answer %Userprofile% for windows 10.
one problem with this option guys.. it doesn't save you space on the C drive. it only makes two copies that are linked. if you delete one you lose the other. [We need a better solution that only keeps it on the back-up drive. facebook.com/ChubbyFlyers
