Thank you so much for this video. I just watched this repeatedly and will probably repeat it a dozen more times. I bought a 69 cal sailboat and the engine has no manual. I’m trying to piece together multiple manuals but no where can I find a 4.107 westerbeke wiring diagram or schematic. I can find many out there that are either the “typical” for pre 1975 post 1975 or post 1980. I can find them for the 40’s, and almost every other marine engine they built and pretty much every generator. Just can’t find specifically 4.107. The engine was working great, but I boneheaded it and drained house and started banks. In the jump I received many spots in my wiring caught fire. Melted many of those connections and the trailing wires, so unfortunately I don’t have the working version that was in operations on this boat to go off of. I’ve completed laid down and ran new wire and cabling through the entire boat. Built new concentrically twisted harnesses but I’m struggling to get the engine to crank. I’ve got a water temp sender and switch, oil pressure sender and switch, and if I have it I and find it a fuel switch. The boat was firing up by just a start push button. There’s a glow or preheat that I assume was working just never needed it the boat fired up instantly no hesitation and no need for the glow switch. The fuel pump was was operated by a switch off the dc panel and the engine stop was a pull out mechanical lever operating a mechanical lever on the engine near where the throttle lever terminates. If you have any capabilities of working a schematic through on a 4.107 I’d greatly appreciate it certainly sharing my gratitude with a massive thank you both in the loudest verbal/written sentiment as well as fiscally!
