- In this video, we load up and transport a disassembled Caterpillar 770G using the Man TGS 480 8X8 (mod) in 'Bridging the gap' mission in SnowRunner (Season 12 PTS). Also guys, sorry for the lack of content lately. A lot has been going on and this video took way too long to get it recorded. I'm not sure if it's my PC acting up, but when I record and game at the same time, my PC kept crashing and I couldn't get a good run. Maybe it's a game issue, as I was running the PTS version of the game. I hope you guys are having a great time, and have a wonderful new year ahead :)

I came searching for a video because I thought I chose the wrong pathway 😂. I ended up winch dragging my tow rig with the Kenworth 963.
Great effort… I need a wheel setup like yours.
This game is strange with a wheel, I find the scouts are actually better to drive with a controller. Also winching, has to be done with a controller. But man, first person POV, headphones, large truck and a wheel. I've only ever seen Dead Space (remake) approach that level of immersion for me.
Plus, tons of other awesome games to play on a wheel. I recommend g29, definitely don't invest too much for snowrunner though

Is this game fun with a t128p wheel? Im not a sim racer just like ganes like this and truck sims and surface exploration games. Would i need a h pattern swifter or would the flappy paddle things work just fine?

this game has EVERYTHING to become the greatest Truck Simulator. I wonder why they dont try to make something in the scale of ETS2. It has the GRAPHICS which are insane,it has the PHYSICS which is PERFECT,the sounds. If they ever make a game like ETS2,they will destroy the competition.
Making game like ets2 is easy since it's just a narrow corridor. Hard for this type of game which is fully open world.
The physics and sounds are surely not the best. That's where it falls short

Most people dont think of what happens if they where to try something like this with a normal 4wd thats why they get stuck
The graphics are very realistic. Even though I have it at full settings, it doesn't look that realistic. Is there a mod you use?
They really need to fix the damn hitboxes.. a 20 tonnes truck getting stuck on a cone.. hitting branches sometimes

Hi! Happy New Year to you. I have a question. I know that rtx 3080 ti is not so good in 4k resolution with ultra settings in this game, sometimes fps drops to 50. what settings do you use in your game? Are they the maximum or are you underestimating something?

You should use the cat to pull the truck.
I’ve loved snowrunner for ages now. But recently a new bug has come up on Xbox series X that makes the game crash every 5 minutes. So it’s basically impossible to play now. There is no manual save system so after each crash it takes me back to where I started. Really upset about this issue. And the devs show no signs of even acknowledging it :(

I enjoy a good Snowrunner run as good as the next enthusiast but for ZIKS's sake , get a decent truck to pull that load :D. 50 mins for a run....... pfffff
It wasn't the trucks fault, it's just that the trailer was constantly bottoming out. I tried several trucks before recording this video but it was the same result 🤷

I want to get a wheel but I hear it's not worth it for snowrunner..I'm on a ps4. Any info that might change my mind into getting one.
Well... once you drive with a wheel I think it's hard to go back. I never play snowrunner without a wheel. The ffb is pretty good. You definitely don't need a wheel and it will probably be easier with a joystick but for better immersion and fun, I'd always choose to play with a wheel. The only downside is the game doesn't feature proper manual gears or any sort of clutch system so if you're fine with driving in auto, I'd say go for it.
@Xpertgamingtech you still need a controller to downshift for low gear? Would you recommend this wheel in the video? I was looking at the g923 logitech.

No you can still do the gears with the wheel itself, using the d-pad (for wheels that have these buttons).
Both my wheel, t300 (I'm using a thrustmaster T300 base with TX rim in this video) and g923 are very old bases. But the T300 is better than a g923 despite being old in my opinion.
The G923 is a slightly updated version of the g29 which is a slightly updated version of the g25 which is a 17 year wheel.
Maybe look for used g29 or a t300 if you don't want to spend much. If you do, check moza wheel bases. They are more modern but a bit more expensive compared to these two.
I have a g29 and have a custom drift like wheel on it and if you like trucking games I would definitely buy one but don’t buy new one buy a used one or else it’s not worth it
