    I think the using the school lights to mirror brakes and turn signals is a great idea. I would have left them with the yellow lights in the middle to mirror turn single and have the tail/brake lights on the reds. Cool idea!

    Thanks for explaining how the solar/battery consumption path works. I vote (as if you put it up for a vote) to install a length of some kind of dowel rod to hold that window open that you could just press into the rail frame and you are good! Fabricating or finding a hood to protect that A/C from rain needs to be done for sure and will be a challenge I imagine, I think you might need something a bit more protective for the serious rain, but we shall see. I am still betting that you will need to but a second A/C in the back one day, I hope not for a lot of reasons, but I look forward to seeing how you manage. Excellent! Looking forward to the next video!

      you'll see our setup for rain in another few videos, but I'm hoping that what we have created now will do the trick! I'm not expecting perfection though, of course! The cool part is that we could absolutely add a second AC in the back and still have enough power as well as be significantly cheaper than most RV roof ACs!

    I'm waiting for the residential fridge I bought used to die. I want to see if I can replace the 120v compressor for a 12v one.

    • @CozyLivingMachine
      @CozyLivingMachine  3 місяці тому

      I have thought about one of those, I fill the performance of this little 120V fridge is so good that for us the 12V fridge would only cost more and add complications for us! They do seem very efficient though from what I've read other than the wire sizes! I still love the idea of a chest fridge because of how efficient those are.

    • @brianvandy4002
      @brianvandy4002 3 місяці тому +1

      @@CozyLivingMachine Yeah, buying a 12v fridge doesn't make sense to me, but replacing a 120v compressor with a 12v compressor is much cheaper. Like less than $100 for a 12v compressor. So if the one I have fails, I'll have it repaired with a 12v compressor.

    Just put a couple of small self-tapping screws into the frame to hold the window up. Easy peasy.

    That 'tablesaw' takes up about the same amount of space as the shop vac, no?

    • @CozyLivingMachine
      @CozyLivingMachine  3 місяці тому +1

      I think you're right, right around the same footprint. Which makes me sad, I really liked that shop vac! This one is shorter though, it should be able to fit in an outdoor bay if we do a bit of reorganization.

    • @selador11
      @selador11 3 місяці тому

      @@CozyLivingMachine Here is an idea for you... My current 'shop vac' is made by someone else. Uses all the same accessories, etc. Really strong vacuum. Only it doesn't have a 'body. It clamps to the top of any 5 gallon bucket. The 'vac' itself is fairly small, for storage. And who can't use an extra 5 gallon bucket, anyway? I bought it at lowes.

    What inverter are you utilizing at this time? Are you moving to a victron in the full build?

    • @CozyLivingMachine
      @CozyLivingMachine  3 місяці тому +1

      The full build is officially done! I don't like the victron system for a number of reasons. Far too expensive, we have no need for the 120V line-in, and sadly it doesn't work with 36-volt systems. This is the 3kW inverter we have: amzn.to/3Xm3YYf

    The 'solar or battery' argument seems to me to be a bit contrived. It is at least, moot. If you are not plugging in illicitly at some street light pole somewhere then, if you are running on battery, you ARE running on solar. I can see that there is a 'technical' difference there, but the power you are using originally came from the sun anyway. Just seems like a stupid thing to be chewing on you guys about.

    Hi Joel, do you have a list of items that you used for solar system. I am trying to figure out everything that is needed for system.

  • @jeromehebert3184
    @jeromehebert3184 3 місяці тому

    Love that solar; hey, have you thought about running two wires to the back outside of Lenny to charge the bikes while they are still on that rack? that way you can charge while you are sleeping or riding Lenny around. If that grill for the AC doesn't work out for you, you may want to consider an outside vent they use on dryers for homes. Those usually cover the opening and point down which I would think gives you no chance of water getting in. Just some thoughts to bounce to you.

    • @CozyLivingMachine
      @CozyLivingMachine  3 місяці тому +1

      Sure have! We will definitely be doing that, avoiding the exhaust and other hot areas! There's a lot of room in the engine bag, that should be easy enough once we have a plan to waterproof the chargers. And good point! We looked at those but couldn't find one big enough. We may look again if we have troubles though!

    Disco ball sighting!!!
    So I have heard of gennys that will autostart if there is a rig power outage, would the uninterrupted power supply on the Allpowers work the same way? Do you have to have it wired some way just to the actual appliance or the entire system? Very interested in keeping the cooling on in hot weather because of the cats, a concern for me.

    • @CozyLivingMachine
      @CozyLivingMachine  3 місяці тому +2

      Our last motorhome had that option in the main control panel as well. This AllPowers is automatic, so if there is power coming in to the unit and connections made to each 110V port, it will automatically detect and instead of passing through the power from the external power source, will automatically switch over to it's own battery power within 5 ms. This applies to the four outlets and it's automatic, you don't even have to change a setting which is very nice!

    I don't recall you ever revealing your diagnosis. My wife "cured" her fibromyalgia with diet, exercise, and sleep.

    • @CozyLivingMachine
      @CozyLivingMachine  3 місяці тому +1

      I talked about it in a few live streams. Rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia. I'm working through those right now, though sleep isn't something that I'm concerned with, and I exercise anytime that I can though of course that's very difficult at times! Diet is the one thing that's very easy to control. I'm working through what it is that my body doesn't like, even with a strict keto diet I was having huge issues. In some ways it even got worse! I'll get there.
