This was one of the best sitcoms ever. I think they should reboot this show because there is just no TV like this anymore which is a sad thing to say. miss all of you.
I feel like it would be like 5-10 more years until they would do a reboot. It took almost 30 years for a Full house reboot, about 15 years for That ‘90s show, then about 10 years for Boy Meets World. It’s only been like 5 years since the middle had aired the final episode, so I see this being very unrealistic. At least for the next couple years. Who knows tho🤷🏼♀️ maybe they’ll just say screw it and do it! That’s if all the cast even wants to do it. The Olson sisters weren’t even in Fuller House because they had other roles they wanted to do.
I realize it is too soon for a reboot but wouldn't it be great. It would be fun to see Sue and Axel with their own children and brick a famous Wealthy author. Mike and Frankie would be hilarious grandparents.
Agreed, Im watching for the 3thd time hahaha
@@devopslifestylebr Me too. Half way through 3rd time and still say. "hmm, I don't remember this episode".
I've actually lost count of how many times I've watched from beginning to end ❤
I STILL watch The Middle! Just a feel good show! Love your videos!
Love and respect from a couple 50 year old fans in San Diego. Love The Middle and you Atticus! 👍🏼❤️🎬🎥
I absolutely loved this show. I never understood why more people didn't watch this. I really dud represent a middle class family in the Midwest. Living in the Midwest I truly connected with it. I would love a reboot
It was on for 9 seasons, obviously a lot of people watched it or it wouldn't have lasted so long.
22:10 awww man, that would have been amazing to leave in the show. My wife and I are such huge fans of you and your work. We watch The Middle every day on repeat. I couldn't tell you how many times we have watched it from start to finish.
I love The middle, it’s my comfort show and it always makes me feel better ❤️🩹 ❤
My favorite epsiode with you as Brick - is the one just before Sue goes to college she takes Brick to Plaent Nowhere-con, and he gets vunerable with her talking about it was the best day and how he will miss her. Sue is such an emotional ray of sunshine and a lot of people don't give her the same energy back and are over looked in the Heck house some time, it was endearing. Also, the second plot, the way you as Brick licks the breakfast frozen pancake and makes a face & riding on Niel/Mike's lap on the lawnmower.. oh and bringing the leaves home!
This was an excellent episode! My favorite Brick episode was when Axl was trying to get rid of Brick's tics. He was in a blanket burrito at the kitchen table. It was so funny!
I recently injured my foot and have been in a cast. To use the time well, I have gone back and watched all 9 seasons of The Middle! Once again, I was sad it ended! One of the best sitcoms ever!
I'm so happy that, despite your need to recover from your foot, we could ve there for you as a means of cheering you up and entertaining you!
Atticus you are adorable. Great vlog! 💕
OK so now I want to see Atticus doing an Irish dance. I know if I tried it I'd end up on my butt with blue birds chirping as they fly around my head. You are unintentionally hilarious. Your story is full of double entendres that make me giggle.
I love all this tv history, especially learning how many shows I grew up watching were filmed right there where The Middle was filmed. Growing Pains is one of my all time faves.
My favorite episode of The Middle was “Taking Back the House” - as a parent I get it!! 😂😂
Hi Atticus, from Sydney Australia 🌏🦘
Love the Middle because it was so relatable. I am Frankie and my kids are a blend of Axel/Sue and Sue/Brick. My husband is Mike. We have all of the dvds and our whole family watches , laughs and relates. Especially me with Taking back the house!
I really think Axl should have married Weird Ashley though!
Same! I think he should have married her too
@@lisabeamer5349 Yes, Lexi should have dropped Axl when he went to Denver and Weird Ashley should have been waiting, consoled and married him. The writers got it wrong. But we know the truth 😁
@@barbarabruce7648 Yes! 100% this☺️
Thanks from Brazil! Love you! I still watch The Middle every day!
We watched The Middle from the first season. I really don’t think there will ever be another show like it. Thank you and your fellow actors and crew for all the fun you gave to our family and stay strong in Christ.
God bless you. Thank you!
@AtticusShafferVlog greetings atticus from the uk I have to ask what happened to the blanket that was in the dryer did any cast member keep it Also do have any memorable items from the show 😀
Laying in bed sick today and these videos are like medicine. Thanks so much for doing these and helping me when I’m feeling (whispers) “MELANCHOLY”
Just started season nine of my dvd collection. For the millionth time! Love this show more than I can express ❤
Greetings from Germany. The show is still on TV here and after years I still love to watch it. It's so cool to see you here on UA-cam. Thank you Atticus!
@@Wubuhuh thank you so very much!
I am watching the show again with my partner. It has been a good escape after his stroke. Brick is his favorite character. I really enjoy the videos and the beind the scenes look.
Hope he gets well soon. ❤
@@bruinsgirl79 thank you!
Yea🎉🎉🎉brown county … oh how I miss u😂 and Mrs. Rinsky is sooo proud of you ! You are the Middle’s historian! 😂
I love Brown County! Great state park and excellent restaurants.
I loved this show. The best episode was the Christmas episode when the kids and Mike were going to Frankie’s choir for Christmas and after you guys almost got in a car crash and everyone was fighting and you were whispering! Such a funny scene! 😂
Atticus, you are like a breath of fresh air…loved you as Brick. I am adult Who has watched your show over and over. It’s so nice to have something decent to watch in this day and age. God bless you and your family. I hope to see you in many more projects❤Thank you for all your videos
Dear Atticus, once again it is such a pleasure to see you again! Thanks so much for sharing your adventures on the show with us all who are die hard fans, and always will be......Since 2009, I have been mesmerized by the show, it's amazing cast, amazing scripts, but mostly for the extreme love and enjoyment you and the cast bring in to my life each and every day. I run 5 miles a day, 6 days a week at the gym, and The Middle is my go to series to watch, which makes my hour go by so quickly that I almost don't want to stop and go another 5 miles just so I can squeeze in another episode! Your heartwarming stories only add to my devotion to the show, to you, and to all of the cast members that have impacted my life for over 15 years and counting! May God Bless you and may you know you and The Middle have made a significant change in my life as far as how I view my family, friends and neighbors.....I may not be a Heck, however, I think I was born to be!
One of my favorite episodes was "A Simple Christmas." It is a holiday must -watch for my family. We watch it every December ❤
That episode that had Grandpa Big Mike in the woods I knew right away that was the episode when Grandpa Big Mike wanted to be left to die. He didn't want to be a bother.
I love that episode! I like the beginning of it when Mike is yelling at them to go on the trip. I laugh through that entire episode.
I am so blessed by you just being you as I have enjoyed every video I have watched as well as all your time on The Middle. I have REALLY enjoyed these Behind the Scenes. It is so amazing to me what we watch in an episode isn't really what is going on as there is much more at work. WOW! Such wonderful memories you have of your time on The Middle; thank you for sharing these with us. Blessings on you and your mom.
My husband and I love this show. Btw, that shot of you eating at a diner... you were hanging out with Axel the night before partying at his winnebago with his college friends. Then you were at the diner the next day enjoying your after party dinner with him..talking about life and girls..lol. Love it!
Ah ha! Thank you for reminding me!
I think this was when Frankie was trying to make Mike and Axle jealous because they were bonding over work life, so she drug you around to force fun. You end up at a restaurant, and Frankie orders a slice of every cake for every birthday of yours they floated. If I'm not right, have a few other ideas, lol
Loved the show, binging it now with my wife. and we can see our own kids personality in Axle and Sue in my own kids and a bit of myself in Brick.
Always a feel good show my kids and love every episode of the Middle. I am enjoying your UA-cam videos also make me feel happy! Thank you!
My girlfriend and I are watching the show, and now we're in season 9, we're already sad because it's ending =(
hugs from Brazil to you!
Everytime my family and I would watch the middle on abc and I remember the middle would start at 8:00 pm and I remember watching the whole entire episode I remember the everybody read now and it’s one of my favorite scene where you wear everybody read now from everybody dance now costume from the middle episode cutting the cord and my family would laugh hilariously and remember that scene 🎬 and it was one of the best scene you’ve ever done and it’s a huge compliment from my family to yours.
Everybody read now is one of my favorite Brick scenes too! Hilarious! My husband and I still quote it sometimes.
Always a pleasure, good to see you again. Thanks for posting.
Atticus, I watched The Middle as an adult, but what makes it so special for me is that my elderly mother also really liked this show and it was something we would talk about every time I would call her. She has since passed away (before the show ended) and I would give anything just to talk with her again! She would’ve loved to have seen how the series ended.
This is sweet. My son and I starting watching it when he was eight. He is now 18 and we still watch The Middle ❤
Me and my family ❤ the middle, I hope that someday the middle will be reboot on disney +
Me and my mom love The Middle. Every day after dinner thats our routine: three or four episodes to devour and enjoy! You, Eden, Charlie, Patricia and Neil always put a smile on my family's faces. 😊 As an avid reader myself, I love watching Brick, and his joy for books and reading. (I even belive that in one episode he may have had a Percy Jackson book!) The Middle is just such a comfort show for me. I can't tell you how many times we have binged watched The Middle. I know my mom is probably the biggest Middle fan besides my aunt and myself that I know. She always says that our family would have had way more material to continue The Middle 💖. To be honest with you, for my 9th birthday my aunt bought me all 9 seasons of The Middle on DVDs. That was probably the best gift I got that year! : ) These videos are so entertaining and fun to watch. Thank you for being awsome Atticus! 😎🫶🏼✨
- Hope, an 11 year old Middle fan from Maryland 🦀🇺🇸🐎
Thank you for doing these !!!! They are awesome .. as a an associate producer for local news - this tv magic is amazing!! Thank you for being so detailed and sharing all the stories!!
Thank YOU! You are awesome!
I love the middle
Hey Atticus, hope you're doing well. Thanks for sharing all these memories with us. I look foward for the next video.
Jerry and Shirley VanDyke were friends of mine here in Arkansas. Jerry told me he was not a fan of the single camera shooting style, but he enjoyed getting to work with all of you. I still talk to Shirley from time to time. How about sharing a little bit of the experience of getting to work with the VanDyke brothers? Thanks for posting these BTS!
Your videos are great! I enjoy learning about all of the behind the scenes info that goes into making a great show like The Middle!
I don’t know if hearing these kinds of things matter to you but I have to tell you what a huge part of my life this show is. What you all created with the middle spans so much of anyone’s life it’s just repeatable for years and years on. In our house as a parent of teenagers we watch the middle daily. I watched years ago with my parents as a kid and loved it knowing my teenagers are watching it with me and loving it makes my heart feel warm. Thank you for making such a masterpiece.
Comments and messages like yours here do genuinely mean the world to me. I am so grateful to have you bestow such compliments onto me, and even more that the show could be such a positive thing in your life, and in the lives of all the fans. Thank you for being you. 🙏🙂
the show is part of my life, it’s a everyday watch, my wife is so much similar to Sue it’s really uncanny
This was such a great show with the perfect cast. I re-watch frequently on Peacock cause it never gets old.
Another great presentation, Atticus - thanks so much! You are such a great hangout to spend some time with - and that 19K a day crane - wow! - love it!! Having spent some time on sets in Oregon, I appreciate the geeky tech facts on production as much as the personal level of performance achievement you all reached on "The Middle". Kudos again to your mom for capturing key moments - and of course your brilliant editor. Truly appreciated! Looking forward to more!
You are amazing! Thank you, for being you.
Just found your channel and the middle is my favorite show! So cool getting to see these background tidbits and hearing how everything works behind the scenes, super interesting!
Being a lifelong Hoosier I’ve always loved “The Middle.” Thanks for another great video ❤
You’re the best!,
Thank you so much for doing these. This show took up my 20’s years. My favorite episodes were the Orlando/Disney episodes. It’s so sad that the sets and sound stages are gone. 😞. Anyways had some good pizza while watching this. “You’ll love our pizza 🎶 “!!
It’s so weird seeing brick with a real BEARD
You were always my favorite character
I enjoy these behind the scenes series so much. Thank you for taking the time to put these together and sharing pieces of film and tv history with us!!! You're the best!!!
You are an inspiration sir! Good job making sure to promote those that help you too. My thanks to your Mom and Rachel, for helping you with these vids as well!
still love the show!!
You’re an outstanding celebrity UA-cam channel.
Ah that was a lovely intro. Im irish, 100%, moved to scotland a few years ago, and yesterday was a homesick day. Im looking forward to this vlog ❤
That is so cool to hear. I have a little Irish and Scottish heritage, and I've always loved learning the history and culture of Ireland and Scotland. 😎
I am Mexican and my DNA came out 28% Irish- Cornish 😮🎉 !
The holiday episodes of the Middle are some of my favorites.
This is so interesting to me. I would have loved to be able to work around these sets in some capacity. BTW, love the editing! She’s very good and entertaining. I’d love to see your jail scene too. I have a 23 year old daughter who is just that, she’s walks to the beat of her own drum and she’s a super happy person being herself. I know she’d love to see that scene. Can’t wait for the continuing episodes.
Keep the videos coming Atticus.
You are a good person and a good actor on tv 📺 I support you
I remember watching the middle not a long time ago and i remember being so sad when i saw the last episode i ❤ the middle your a legend
I'm watching "The Middle" series for the 2nd time on Freevee. Love the Carhartt jacket "Mike" wears and am looking for a jacket like his for myself.
The show is awesome, but sometimes the family's disorganized lifestyle gives me a headache. LOL.
love u guy....you look great!!!!!!
Broke my heart to see photos and videos of The Bel Aire house being torn down. It was a dead ringer for my childhood house. As someone whom has seen all episodes (multiple times), it felt like a bit of my childhood was destroyed. Thanks for these videos Atticus.
215 episodes is WILD
I have binge watched this show many times. Think it is more funny every time I watch it I am catching all the little things that I didn’t see before. Things as shuttle as knobs mismatched in furniture. Love the realness.
The Middle was such a beautiful show that I will always cherish and enjoy rewatching it over and over every few years when I need to laugh. Such an amazing cast and you are so talented Atticus. Love these videos looking back through memory lane with you. Thank you 🙏
My favorite show is middle me and my family watched all the Episodes
I always wondered if you could adlib. I couldn't imagine Norm McDonald not doing so.
Another wonderful upload from Atticus! Love you my brother!
Thank you for sharing! The show was a joy for me.❤
You always so funny you always make me smile for real 😂

Dzień dobry Atticus :) pozdrowienia z Polski :)
Great stream Atticus by the way brick was the coolest character in the middle
I have always loved the middle since I was kid, so many good childhood memories 🥲
i loved watching the show cause it made me feel part of yalls little family that to others may seem dysfunctional but being from an actual dysfunctional family it was for me a dream to have a functioning communicating family who are also friends not just family in way.
Hey Brick😉 I loved your show all the time it was on. So interesting meeting you later in life, and hearing your insight into the show. Thank you so much for years of quality entertainment.
Yes! Bewitched!
Just restarted The Middle from the beginning for the millionth time!
I have been adoring these videos!. I’m so glad to see you in this UA-cam. I miss the show so much! It’s just so cool to connect with you!💕

your character is also historical in the show 😂❤
This post made my day!
Thank you for this and all future videos to come. The Middle is timeless and just as entertaining today as it was first aired.
Don’t know if you’ll have time to see my comment or not but I wanted you to know that the middle is more than just a TV show to us. It was so relatable to our lives. At the time that the show aired I had all three of my children in my house with me, when the show ended I literally felt heartbroken. I started collecting all of the DVDs and we watched them nonstop. I even have them playing still years later, almost daily, even for background noise while I clean the house lol my two oldest are grown and married, and my youngest will be 14 next month. I don’t know how to explain it, but these TV shows are comforting to me I guess because it was a time when my family was all together and I miss those days so much. The exciting part is that I am now remarried and have added two more little ones to my crew. We don’t have them every day, as is the case with my soon to be 14-year-old (we have to share) but the show is still relatable ❤ my soon to be 14-year-old steals my DVDs lol I find them in her room and the two youngest babies (nine and 10 years old) even request to watch the show ❤ thanks for being a huge, comforting part of our lives❤
Thank you for sharing this with me. I'm so thrilled to know how much the show means to you, and can be a blessing to you.
Dear Atticus,
thank you so much for sharing all of your memories and so much about the show. I remembering watching the pilot with my then ten-year-old (ten? I think so) daughter and she and I watched every week. So many times we laughed out loud. There were also times the show made me cry-and that’s good. We still have lines we use from the show in every day life. For example, when some bizarre, unexpected event takes place we’ll say, “The tornado brought us a dryer!” and more often than I care to admit, “Meh, it’s not worth the fight,” hahaha!
I have continued to watch and frequently have it playing as I do my household tasks. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched the entire series!
Are there folks from the show with whom you still see and spend time with? And maybe you have mentioned this but do you have an episode or storyline that stands out as being one that was the most interesting to do?
Also, I’ve been listening to Eden and Brock’s podcast (sorry to learn from one of your videos that you likely won’t be invited to participate) and they mentioned how the term “autism” was never used in the show. Personally, I liked that it wasn’t. It was more fun as a viewer to know Brick just as “quirky”, it was part of the magic (if that makes sense, I don’t feel that I’m expressing it fully).
I also LOVE your Atticus Eats videos but try not to watch too often because it makes me hungry!
@@PennLisa you know, that's an excellent point you brought up. The reason why "autism" was never mentioned in the show is because the writers wrote Brick without autism or any other condition. He doesn't have a formalized diagnosis of being on the spectrum, because they wanted him to simply be the quirky unique character you mentioned. He is a character that shows it is okay to march to the beat of his own drum. Then, all viewers can relate, whether they are on the spectrum on not.
Eden and Brock unfortunately do not know the conversations I had with the writers about my character which makes it frustrating when they say things like that which simply are not true. 😆
Thank you so much for this fantastic comment and for being the amazing fan you are!
Favorite part of the show was the "Brick Tick's" and how they changed.. It is something that my wife and I refer to often.... "often...woop".. We loved your character and watching you grow up..
And thank you for recording these! I mentioned it in the comments for another video but I just purchased the series on DVD & now after watching your videos showing the 'behind the scenes', the episodes will now take on a whole new meaning :) The only other shows I've bought the DVD set for are The Wonder Years (the original version), West Wing, & Home Improvement, so your show is in good company :) Oh & now, every time I see a roughed-up camper, I think of Brick, his college buddies, & 'the bago'. Two of my favorite episodes are when you were learning to drive & knocked down the Orson cow, also when you were partying in the back of the bago & got everyone dancing to Perry Como :)
Oh, where you're talking about the stairs & rafters, that ladder looks even more ominous! lol.
So great to see these, Thank you.
hello Atticus
“The Middle” is my favorite series, I started watching it back in 2015 and every year I rewind from the beginning🎉
Hi Atticuz Zaire you tube channel video Love my favorite one fan BIG 💖⭐️
The editing of these is getting really good 😁👍
Love each and every one of these!! Such a joy to watch! Will always be my fav show!!❤❤❤❤❤
Love this sitcom! Thanks for sharing ❤
its fun for those of us not in the industry to see the behind the scenes of the inner workings of things. Thanks for taking the time to do that.
Atticus, you made me smile the entire time of this vlog. You are truly blessed! I'm so glad you are you! 🙏✝️💚
Awesome video and a wonderful series! I believe the side-swipe damage to the family station wagon occurred when new driver Sue turned too sharply in a fast food drive-thru lane. I love that it was never repaired, which fits with the family's modus operandi! 😂❤
I just watched the ‘First Pilot’ that was crazy! It’s good they switched the other characters & kept Brick! It wouldn’t have been the same without you. Thank you for sharing this inside info. I don’t remember which video you mentioned it in, but I did remember it was out there!
You are awesome for discovering it! Well done! Glad you could check it out!
@@AtticusShafferVlog It was like going to another dimension! You’re truly an amazing actor! #TheMiddleReboot is needed!
Great show, looking to get the complete series on DVD. Watched it from the beginning to the end. It went out like any great show should. A real story ending.
Always nice to see a Behind the Scenes video. Isn’t it Atticus?
